“One reviewer wrote that (I am paraphrasing here) that Manhattan Liquors is well stocked and competing with ABC and Total Wine, so their prices are a higher and that he never goes to the afore mentioned stores. Although I do not see the competition of which he speaks with the big guys having a national presence, he is correct about Manhattan Liquor being well stocked - This place has everything one could want to purchase and partake. But just for fun, after pulling a cold 6er from the fridge, I approached the counter and opened with "I would just like to say that there a few items that I purchase regularly that I do not see here" to which the owner grabbed a pen without looking up and was ready to write my request. I then stated that I was only making funny, a poor attempt at humor because that have so much of everything and it is all very well displayed. I am on a beer swing because strong alcohol just hits me kinda hard and although wine is me favorite of alcoholic beverages - its 89* here still and that's to hot for a big and bold Tuscan or a Maragaux - I probably could do a white or a rose (Squiggly line ~ atop the 'e') but I'm mentally just not ready for that level of commitment. I hadn't seen the Micky's Beer ($7.99) in a very long time, so along with two shooters of Chambord, I was on my way. I am going to write a post on my blog about twist tops on beer cans and bottles. I say this as I am avoiding using my right pointing finger from a laceration I took opening my first Coors Light 16oz aluminum can last weekend. This particular finger is a very useable finger at a very industrious juncture of the finger itself, top center of the pad. And it was no simple twist the cracked the seal, it was an iron grip and a strained twist with a mild gnashing of exposed teeth. Not the Mickys tho - the harmonious easy twist to crack transition induced b the simplest pressure applied was a ease that caused me no trauma that I now carry thanks ot the razor blade neck of those darn Coors Light cans - and I dont even like that beer at all - the can turns blue when its cold. Duh - how dumb must a person be to not be able to teall if a can if cold?”

“None of the big stores such as AB*, Total W***, Sarasota L*** had my favourite Yukon Jack Canadian Whisky but the Publix Liquors at Twelve Oaks Plaza had 2 of the 1.5 lite bottles at an amazing price. The Store Manager was friendly and helpful and it is a rather small store so I only had to walk about 5 steps to get what I needed. Made my Day.”
“Great local liquor store. Awesome staff, decent prices. And, they remember your name. When your only negative is how your receipt prints, or the fact you asked children to stay in a safe part of the store, or that you can’t return a bottle you walked out of the store with; then it is clear those complaining are simply looking for reasons to be offended. I also love the fact they post security camera photos of shoplifters and check fraud. I love this place, it’s a great store.”
“never shopped here till a few weeks ago...lots of deals , large meat section and lots of alcohol. A bunch of buy one get one's. They also have a dollar section! There most things are a $1.25. Seems clean and has good customer service! Seems Very Competitive! was a shockingly decent experience!It's a wonder why they are not as prominent or have as much foot traffic as some other big box grocery stores! May be comming back ,....since these other stores prices are getting a little bit ...shall I say questionable....Winn-Dixie may have a positive future ahead of itself! let's wait and see..?”

“I used to work at this Winn-Dixie as a teen, brings back good ol' memories. Good staff, great manager, Sagest ( I hope I'm spelling his name right) I Isiah get the mixed chicken wing buckets. Delicious. Everything you can ask for in a awesome store. Coin changing machine, lottery, food, medicine, charcoal, veggies, etc. Oh, and the seafood! They will boil/ prepare and cook for you after you pay. I believe it's only certain foods though like anything by the pound and some packaged foods. I'll get a box of the garlic mussels and 2-3 pounds of shrimp, pay them, go back, show the receipt and they'll season to your liking, cook, seal it up and BAM you're ready to enjoy your fresh cooked food almost anywhere you'd like.”

“This was my first time at Normans Liquor, and they have a huge selection of spirits to chose from. I went in looking for tequila and they had a whole section just of tequila. They had prices from that’s fair to damn they make tequila that expensive. I went for that’s fair priced tequila. Will I go back? Yes, Normans has a great selection and good prices.”
