Great hidden Taco place. We had to birra tacos, chimichanga and BLT burrito they were all great. Also got the large guac and chips, they weren't kidding when they say large, we had more than enough food for the three of us.

Classic burrito spot in DuPont circle, love the penguin aesthetic and good portions for the price. Really tasty burritos and burrito bowls. Highly recommend the El Gordo option!
The Well Dressed Burrito is known for being one of the first southwestern carry-outs in the DuPont Circle area, opening in 1986. Local customers know us as “the Burrito Place in the alley” because we are a little spot secretly located in the alley right down the street from Dupont Circle.
Family run, loyal staff, and most importantly, our overstuffed well-dressed burritos make us a must-have to meet your lunch needs. The Well Dressed Burrito offers more than just burritos made from fresh ingredients and changes its specials daily.

You can't go at night or on weekends. Don't expect to be able to use your credit cards or even tables and chairs. But, when this tiny place is open, do find first-rate Tex-Mex grub at this pocket-size takeout joint, especially the burritos, which are overstuffed with flavorful meat, bean or chicken fillings. Our favorite: the plain burrito packed with chunky shreds of savory beef and melted cheese. A close runner-up: El Gordo, a super-sized flour tortilla oozing chicken (or beef, or vegetables) and refried beans. There's plenty more, including chicken or beef fajitas, grilled nachos, grilled quesadillas, grilled burritos, and a selection of salads filled with spicy flavors.
