“I've found NACA's mortgage program to be exceptionally thorough and straightforward, making it the best option available for those seeking down payment assistance, covering closing costs, and avoiding PMI. While the process may seem daunting at first glance, the benefits it offers make it entirely worthwhile.Throughout my journey with NACA, I've encountered a few counselors, each of whom has provided invaluable insights and guidance. They've been instrumental in navigating me through every step of the process, readily addressing any questions or concerns that have arisen. Thanks to the clarity and support provided by NACA, I'm eagerly anticipating the realization of owning my very first home in the near future.”

“Nestled within the 446-acre grounds of the United States National Arboretum lies a true hidden gem - the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum. This serene and meticulously curated outdoor exhibit showcases an extraordinary collection of miniature trees, known as bonsai and penjing, that have been painstakingly cultivated and cared for over decades. As you approach the museum's entrance, a sense of peaceful tranquility immediately envelops you. The beautifully landscaped pathways lead you through a series of distinct gardens, each highlighting different styles and traditions of this captivating horticultural art form. The Bonsai Museum's centerpiece is the Bonsai Pavilion, an elegant, traditional Japanese-style structure that houses some of the most extraordinary bonsai specimens in the world. Each tree, carefully selected and maintained by a team of skilled horticulturists, tells a story of patience, precision, and a deep reverence for nature.Wandering through the pavilion, you'll be struck by the remarkable diversity of the bonsai collection, which spans centuries and encompasses a wide range of species – from towering pine trees to delicate Japanese maples, each sculpted into intricate, miniaturized masterpieces. The subtle nuances in the trunk shapes, branch structures, and foliage patterns are a testament to the incredible skill and artistry of the bonsai masters who have cultivated them.Beyond the Bonsai Pavilion, the museum's grounds also feature the Penjing Museum, which showcases the equally captivating art of penjing – the Chinese counterpart to Japanese bonsai. Here, you'll discover a world of imaginative landscapes and whimsical interpretations of nature, where small trees, rocks, and other natural elements are artfully combined to create serene yet dynamic compositions.Throughout the museum, informative signage and thoughtfully designed exhibits provide visitors with a deeper understanding of the history, techniques, and cultural significance of these living works of art. Guided tours and educational programs offer even more insights into the intricate practices and philosophies that underpin the art of bonsai and penjing.Whether you're a seasoned horticulturist, a student of Japanese or Chinese culture, or simply someone in search of a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum is a truly remarkable destination. It's a place where the natural world and human artistry converge, inviting visitors to slow down, appreciate the beauty of the miniature, and connect with the timeless rhythms of the natural world.”

“I was invited to attend an opening in the building's art gallery. The interior of the building is a work of art in itself!Masculine feeling and great angles and interior/exterior vistas everywhere! (Many of the windows from the interior are angled because of the round or curved walls.) Outside, windows look like a regular office building. The fortunate employees who work in this building: common spaces, meeting rooms, the auditorium, work spaces and the bathrooms are very 2019 - design-wise, light-wise and electronic-wise. Heard, but did not see the roof deck - apparently to die for - you can see the roof deck trees from the street.Uncertain younger staff appreciates all the amenities. I think they take for granted. This office building is probably in the 97 percentile when it comes to great buildings to work in.”

“We took a Spanish 2 class to visit the MCI and had the best time! Our guide gave us a step by step tour of the historical building and added plenty of age-appropriate trivia and information. The murals are incredible and the art exhibit upstairs was just amazing. My students loved the greenhouse room and music room the most.”

“First let me express how stressful this home buying process has been, especially being new to the area. I didn’t know who to true as I was doing research on DC website I stumble across this agency for housing workshops and counseling. Let me say Ms. Beckham and her team are amazing! Although the workshops were long, but very engaging and interactive! All questions were answered timely and I could hear the passion the professionals have about their field. They were very transparent about the process. I look forward to continue to work with them and highly recommend their housing services!”

The building is not a public museum. It sits across from the Mall and south of the Department of State. Not really a tourist spot, although there is a wonderful statue of Albert Einstein out front yhat offers a photo opportunity for visitors.”

“The director of DCNE, Schuyler, is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and very easy to talk to. After speaking with him, my understanding of ADHD and neurofeedback has significantly broadened. They even offer a FREE consultation, what a wonderful gift to the DC community! It's hard to believe a complimentary service has received a low rating review! If you're seeking expert therapy, ADHD support, or neurofeedback guidance, I wholeheartedly recommend DCNE. You will walk away a much happier person!”

“Touching memorial dedicated to those who have been disabled through service to their country. The site contains plenty of seating, a water reflecting pool, statements regarding wounded soldiers from eminent leaders throughout history, and a series of glass panels containing stories and information about disabled heroes. Nice place to sit and relax and contemplate the cost of liberty.”

“This place really is quite nice during the off-season summer months. Today I counted a total of six students sitting down and either working or studying. That is a far cry from just a few months, when it was literally impossible to find a place to sit. Even though the official graduation starts tomorrow, I think that perhaps most of the students have already left. I like to come here on occasion to study and work, and the WIFI and nice tables make it conducive to do just that! I know that they have limited hours during the summer months, but I am still looking forward to being very productive here. I'm also glad that they have finally turned down the volume on the televisions that are situated in various spots, because not everyone comes to the center to just kick back and watch TV.”

“I’ve lived in DC and covered the Washington area for WUSA9TV(CBS) as a reporter and anchor for many years. For much of that time, The Alliance of Concerned Men has been in the community doing the work that others can’t do! That’s rescuing many of our young people from violence, anxiety, indifference and often death. I salute and support the ACM. Let’s thank them and support them financially.”

“Casey Trees is the greatest. This was a recertification for Casey Trees Advocates. We got to practice our skills after a delicious brunch. I've taken workshops on tree identification, planting, pruning, and advocacy, and I've done all of those activities plus removing invasives and surveying street and park trees. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Its mission is restoring, enhancing, and maintaining the tree canopy of the District.”
