No department will pick up their phone, so I cannot shop here. Extremely disappointing because I need to purchase something the store MIGHT have but I can't make the trip all the way to the store just to find out they don't have it, which is why I tried to call for a half hour but no department would answer.

First - the frog picture is hilarious. Beyond that, this Macys is really the only option for any semblance of department store shopping in the area. Usually I just go to stroll but never buy much. Prices and discounts are actually decent sometimes. But it's a small attempt on what could be a solid Macys. Outside, there's always one homeless person.

I was in desperate need of some dress shoes for an upcoming gala; they were my last option of hope. Macy's had always been a staple to me but this location is a true disappointment. The customer service was dire, literally, with lines to try on shoes and employees doing nothing but standing around or outright ignoring us my experience here was horrible.

The customer service throughout the store is disappointing, but Matthew at the Lancôme counter is amazing! I've been buying my makeup at Macy's for years, and he is undoubtedly the best Lancôme representative ever!

This is horrible experience. I bought online two feather comforters for $127.89 during the Thanksgiving time. But I found that the exact same product only costs $39.99 per comforter in kohls. So I returned Macys comforters without opening the package in a couple of days after I received them. I also got acknowledgment from Macys for receiving the returned package. I was supposed to get refund in a few days. However, I still have not got refund yet. Today I found that there is a package at my door from Mac'y's, in which are two comforters. I was shocked. I immediately called Macy's and asked the refund status and why I got the new package. I was told by a rep that the comforters I returned were heavily used and dirty. I couldn't believe my ear and I was shocked. How could they tell such a lie to a customer unless they sold me used ones. I am angry for that.

I went in to check the price of a soft-handled can openier. There are at least 2 brands, OXO and another one. NONE of the OXO items had prices on the package or on shelf signs, so you have to scan EVERYTHING. There is an entire wall of OXO products. This is frustrating, I don't know if it is the case at every Macy's, I don't usually buy housewares at Macys. But it was annoying because the price scanner is in a different section of housewares so it is inconvenient to scan everything. The cashier confirmed this was the case, either she could scan the price for me or I would have to walk over to the scanner and do it myself. Even things that are clearance aren't consistently marked down on the package. The price will scan correctly but you won't know the true price until you scan it. Inconvenient. On the lower level above the escalator to the subway the ceilings are falling apart and have large holes in them. It looks dangerous. Hopefully they are doing repairs, but they weren't at the time. There is an elevator near the hr/escalator to subway, but hard to find if you aren't going to the subway. It is in the backstage section.

I purchaed something on used code Cyber on the website. I went to pay by paypal and it took off the promo code. I called and after an hour on the phone, I was told they could not refund me for the promo code for 5 days after item has shipped. I requested an email to that effect and was told they cannot do that. They checked the order on the web and see I used promo code cyber and that the promo discount was removed once order was placed. This is just the worst company ever by not updating the amount to be charged. I am suppose to get a call back on 12/1, but I do not beleive that will happen. I will have to take time out of my day and go to the store and fight this on 12/2. This is not how Macys should treat their customers. If their website is not working then they need to take it offline and fix it period.

There once was a time when I would have rated this Macy's higher. It's the local flagship store and thus it's expected that they would have more items available than the local Macy's. With that in mind, during our recent DC staycation, I decided to visit in hopes of buying some tops. As I looked for a store directory, I got distracted by all the bags for sale. Thinking that I wouldn't buy anything, it wouldn't hurt to take a look. Well...I came across a table with items marked "40% off". It was there that I saw a bag I liked. After looking at it, I reminded myself that I was here to look at tops so I moved along. Once I figured out where the tops were, I headed there and was very disappointed. The selection and the stock was poor. I checked regular priced items and the sales items. Nothing was even worth trying. That's a shame. Years back, I had to get an outfit for an event we were attending. When I couldn't find anything appropriate, I went to this Macy's and had no problem finding something suitable. I went back to the hotel empty-handed but...I was still thinking about the bag. We had a reservation for dinner and we needed to get going. I told my husband about the bag and he said I should go back and get it after dinner. So...that's what I did. When I went to pay for it, I told the sales clerk that I had some Macy's coupons. She said the coupons would be on my Macy's card, which was correct. Those coupons were awesome! They saved me another $30! It's a nice bag with lots of storage compartments. My husband said I should transfer the contents of the bag I had with me and use the new one. Good idea! Everything easily fit with room to spare. I used the extra room to put some other items I bought elsewhere. And, here I went expecting to buy a new top or two. Instead I went home with a new bag LOL! In the future, I don't think I'll try to look for any clothing here, lest I once again get distracted by the bags.

Most people don't know that at this location, they have a "secret" Macy's in the basement. It's their Backstage section and I love it! Every time I go there, I come with no expectations but leave with a bag full of items. On this last trip, I picked up some new outfits for the kids, new throw blankets, a gold yoga cat, Jessica Simpson sunglasses, and some nail polish. Definitely check out the treasure hunt waiting for you!

Definitely not the level of customer service and quality that Hecht's was. Went to four people to check out today. They kept sending me elsewhere. Very rude associates. And the store was filthy and a total mess. And the escalators were not working.

Just finished shopping at Macy's in Bethesda democracy Boulevard. My check out Assistant was Nesrem. She was very professional and personable. I did not have my Macys card with me and she helped me through the process, and informed me of the different sales going on, and which one of my coupons would be more beneficial to use. My interaction with Nesrem was lovely and I think she is an asset to your company. Way to go Macys.

Just got me some Shiseido and Estée Lauder at Macys. I had th help and assistance of Merkeb, the counter manager, she was awesome to work with. Very respectful and taught me a thing of to. I'll be back for sure thank you so much.

Macy's has definitely made this branch more exciting than I remember it last. It's got pretty much everything you need, but staff are still often hard to find. And it's hard to shop the clothing section when the escalators aren't working. But other than that, the store is clean and laid out well.
