“Love Pure Barre West Hartford! People are always very nice and welcoming and the instructors are great at remembering your name and pushing you to do your best while also making corrections to your form which I love. My favorite instructors are Abby, Sarah, and Kristin. The only thing I would love to see are more specialty classes like Empower later on a weekday at 6:30PM!!!”

“K-Barbs is a VIBE! The owner is fabulous. She makes you feel extremely comfortable and is so easy to talk to. “I have to admit, I assumed this would be a Newbury Comics knock off - but I thought the selection was wonderfully curated, and the people working there were SO helpful - we sort of wandered in with a 1, 2, and 3 year old - the one guy directed us towards the things in their sizes, quickly pulled things down if anyone so much as glanced at them, and found matching things from the adult section. When he got the things we couldn’t reach down - he put all of the sizes on a rack we could reach and swapped them with sometime else so it was easy for us to pick them up ourselves. When he grabbed the adult stuff, he said - don’t worry if you don’t love that, just leave it there I can put it back - which was so thoughtful. I thought it was the best combination of salesmanship and consideration I’ve ever seen. Walking in it was just supposed to be browsing and a time sink, and we walked out with things we really liked. The other employees were sweet with the kids and knowledgeable about the things we were buying. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole concept as well - 1 meal for every $10 spent - so it was a fantastic experience. I don’t think I’ve ever even thought to write a review of a store in a mall but bravo Box Lunch!”

“Hope & Stetson is lovely little, family owned boutique in West Hartford Center. There are quality items here for women, babies and some small items for the home. I've seen some casual summer dresses, jeans and sweaters for women, as well as some pretty jewels and other accessories. The best part of this store is how appropriately priced the items are. They also have small sale section. Right when you walk into the store, you'll see the words "happy place" on the ground. I absolutely love this detail. The staff who work here are always ready to help find you the right size and guide you to find what you might be looking for. There is no pushiness to make a purchase. The baby section is adorable for a special gift for someone, but some of those items are a bit costly. I love stopping by this store. It's beautifully set up, organized and easy to navigate. They have fitting rooms and a welcoming, friendly staff. Hope & Stetson is a family owned boutique I love to support.”

“I'm not a big fan of the Loft, most of their items are not my style, but I'll occasionally walk in. I notice their store is usually set up to feature one specific color, and you'll notice it right at the entrance. They'll have all the new items of that new color, currently various shades of pink displayed on the front table, not to be missed. This is fine, but a variety would also be more eye catching. I've been on the hunt recently for a specific pair of pants, they are from a few seasons ago at the Loft. I've gone to a few stores and I've looked online, and I haven't had much luck. I stopped at the Loft store at Westfarms, I asked the man working there if he could help me find them. He was so helpful, he looked all over the store for me, he talked to the other associates, he did a store search online, he looked in the back room twice, sadly they didn't have the pants. I didn't even ask him to do all this, it was all in his effort and wonderful customer service. And it was a very busy day in the store, yet he was still dedicated in finding these pants for me. I so much appreciate excellent service like this.”

“I recently came into Banana Republic the other night with my girlfriend to look for dress clothes for myself, and we were greeted by an employee named Reagan. She helped us find clothes that we were looking for, and if we couldn't, she suggested alternatives that actually turned out to be better choices! I felt terrible because we were there just after the store had closed, but she assured us that it was no problem at all, and that she wanted us to walk out of the store with what we were looking for. Her energy made the store a welcoming place, along with the other staff, and we'll be happily returning if we need to get anything else from there in the future.The store had what we were looking for, and it was well organized, although prices sometimes seemed a bit high for things that we could easily find elsewhere.”

“Carhartt is a brand primarily made for heavy duty work, like construction, or outdoor wood work. In the recent years it has become quite trendy for anyone looking to keep warm in the winter months. Their beanies are very thick, warm and cozy, and so comfortable, they come in a large variety of colors. They are available from sizes for infants to adults. The Carhartt store in Evergreen Walk is the only one in Connecticut. I've gone here multiple times looking for gifts or for something for my self. The store is pretty small, it primarily carries men's items, they have a very small selection of kids or baby items, and an even smaller selection of items for women. The staff have always been super welcoming and friendly. They will order anything for you if a size or a color aren't available in store. The store also carries work boots, socks and belts. Even though the women's section is very small, their beanies, tee shirts and hoodies can be unisex, depending on the size of course. This is a great store, with wonderful and knowledgeable staff. I encourage you to stop by if you're in the area.”

“I ran in here last minute. I needed to grab some things to go out if town with and as a gift. I did not have my car. If you are familiar with downtown there aren't really any options for retail shopping. So to be stuck downtown during the day without your car is a nightmare. You may as well go to CVS and hope the have some leggings or something like that. But I was looking for my husband not myself so that really wouldn't have worked either. I ran in found some really great deals. We got some sweat pants sweat shirts and even a few dress shirts. One sweater since than has shrunk all the others have been washed and dried no size or color change. Some sale items although not clearance are still not refundable or exchangeable, but most items if left with the tag on you can exchange or return as long as you have your receipts. This place saved me and I am waiting for a warmed day to walk over and see what else they have.”

We had heard that their boot fit differs from standard shoes, so we wanted to make sure we found the perfect pair.
