“On Sunday a warning light went on as I was driving from NY to my daughter's home in Fairfield. I didn't know what I was going to do. My son-in-law told me about Fairfield Automotive. I called first thing Monday morning. I was able to bring it in that afternoon. The service was the absolute best. Dave and the rest of the team were wonderful. They were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient. They diagnosed the problem within minutes and resolved it shortly thereafter. I would recommend Fairfield Automotive to anyone.”

“If I could give 10 stars I would!!! I have had my vehicles serviced by Chris and his team for years. Every time I've had an issue with my car, they have diagnosed the problem and fixed it perfectly. This is an upstanding and fair business who treat their customers as #1! I am crazy about the condition of my vehicles and Old Blue Bird Garage always takes the BEST care of my car while it's being serviced. “I took my car in yesterday to get air in the tire and they noticed a nail and patched it right away. They were really kind and quick. Diego did a great job. It only took 20 minutes, which is what he said it would take. It was only $25 and they gave my son a brand new match box car to take home. It was a great experience.”

“Thank You for the fantastic and fast service Saturday afternoon 4/26/24 at the Southport, CT location.I have been using both Southport and Main Ave locations for decades to maintain my daily drivers.I also own a little run around station wagon that I use for errands, dump runs and hauling large items.I realized I had really been neglecting getting new tires for the station wagon. That's not safe because tires have an expiration date. Dry rot and cracking set in over time. As a rule, I rotate my tires and replace them at least every 5 to 6 years. However, I let the station wagon go a couple years longer than I should have...Time wasn't on my side after the gentleman inspected my tires.I asked for whatever was in stock at that moment, I don't need fancy (I usually buy Toyos for my daily driver) and can it be done on the spot.The gentleman looked through the inventory found 4 tires in stock, they were very reasonably priced and they had time to do it right then and there. Turnover time was under an hour. Car alignment and putting new tires on rims in record time. ImpressivePlease, go see them.They will take very good care of you.”

“Place is honest and effective as can be. Started doing my tires there for a few years as well as emissions and saw how they operate and have been coming for everything else. Brought my Nissan Rogue there last night with 115k on it and a check engine on and he called me early the next morning letting me know I could get it well over 200k and how to maintain. The lady up front is nice and Adam genuinely wants to get you out of there with your car maintained/fixed and without killing your wallet. Highly recommend.”

The warranty company had lots of hoops to jump through but Kaiser and his team got all the work done under the warranty system so I ended up getting around $3000 worth of work done for free. Kaiser and his team were compassionate and personable.”
“A local oil change place told me about an expensive repair that I brought to Accurate because I thought it would be cheaper - they advised the repair was unnecessary. “My experience at the Penfield Service Center today was exceptional! I made an appointment for a tire alignment after having all four tires replaced by DeSantie Tire (who also is amazing). Mike & Tony were both knowledgeable, accommodating and fair with the pricing. It was the easiest part of my day! I would definitely return in the future. Thank you!”
“Honestly very happy with my experience here. I was expecting to pay much more, nearly double than what I actually paid. He didn’t even bill me for a full hour of work, when I’m sure many other shops would’ve drilled into my pockets for the same service or would’ve billed a full hour if able.Reading through the reviews on this thread, it seems as if many of the one-star reviews involve being towed. Of course if your cars towed you’re going to have a horrible experience. Shame to see this shop owner becoming the punching bag.All in all, my opinion is that he’s a skillful mechanic and trustworthy guy. Will go back again in the unfortunate event of car trouble.”

“I am so glad to have found Hank Mays in Norwalk. The place is run by 2 or 3 very nice elderly men. My Toyota is 12 years old so it has a few aches and pains and requires some more maintenance. But since the dealership in Westport is run by a bunch of rude, clueless, incompetent bozos who have absolutely no idea about customer service and try to sell you things you dont need, I only go there for regular check-ups and whatever needs to be repaired I go to Hank May whose prices are significantly lower and I get too notch service. I've been going there for several years and I never had one complaint.”

“Had a great experience with Smitty’s. We were driving from New Jersey and had to be at a wedding in Boston last Friday night. Cruising along at 65 mph on the Merritt Parkway when the yellow check engine light came on and the car suddenly lost most of its power. I immediately got off at the next exit which was Norwalk Connecticut. Did a search for local service centers and Smitty’s seemed to be the closest. Without an appointment, I drove up and one of the owners had one of his mechanics come out and put the car on a scope to diagnose it. It turned out to be a misfiring cylinder. The mechanic ordered the necessary parts from a parts dealer who apparently was very close. Within one hour I was back on the road. Dropping the work that he was doing in order to help me out went above and beyond and I am truly thankful for that. I consider it one of the luckiest days in my life!”
“Can't recommend Briggs Tire highly enough!! Excellent mechanics, very low key, they fix my car problems, quickly and with no drama.Background pre-Briggs:I had had 4 new tires put on by a local chain tire store in December 2022. Nothing but trouble for a year. Tires would not hold air, warning lights constantly going on concerning low tire pressure. This was constant. I would fill them up and light would go on soon after, if it went off at all. Hot weather, cold weather, any weather. I had never had these problems previous to getting the new tires at the local chain.Briggs determined that it was a tire pressure valve problem and a few other issues.Briggs solved it all and fixed all of it for a reasonable price. Very friendly, super honest people who really want to help you and solve your car issues.Briggs also checked my car out, engine, brakes, etc. and told me that everything was good, while another place had told me I needed a few thousands dollars worth of work.Car now runs great, I can finally relax and not worry anymore about tires or anything else.Briggs gets my highest recommendation!! Very grateful that I have found them.”

“Another excellent experience with Greg at Vautrin Auto. Earlier this year Audi dealership warned me that timing belt would require changing soon, but their quoted price was way too much. Needless to say, check engine light recently went on in my Audi Q5. I contacted Greg who was busy as ever but still managed to squeeze my suv in his schedule. He quickly diagnosed the problem and confirmed what was expected. Greg was very honest in letting me know that it would take some time for him to work on the suv, and after a few days he replaced the timing belt and few other items needed, all way under quoted dealer price.
