“It's a pretty big place and the people seem nice, but it's very busy a lot of the time. They only have two employees when there's six or more customers in line. Sometimes, an employee has to man the drive through window and act as a teller at the same time. Before they say they're short staffed or understaffed, don't be so picky as to who you hire, maybe that's why you're understaffed and short staffed. That's why people get annoyed, people have things to do, places to go, schedules, etc.”

“People's has a fascinating history. The timeline includes when it began as People's United Bank Company. It was first founded in 1842 as the Bridgeport Savings Bank in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Later on in 1955, the Bridgeport bank acquired Southport Savings Bank. In 1981, the innovative bank became the first in the United States to provide a convenient experience utilizing the telephone to offer a bill paying service. The new People's United Financial, Inc. was an American bank holding company that controlled ownership of People's United Bank. At one time there were 403 branches operating in Connecticut, southeastern New York State, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire. It was the second Largest bank in New England to be a full service experience. It was also one of the largest in the north east and the 46th largest in our country. The friendly family oriented bank has been recently acquired by M & T Bank. The next chapter of this bank's future remains to be seen and will be updated accordingly.”

“The drive-through is quick and convenient. Fortunately, we did not need to talk to a live person as we didn't see any around. The location is adjacent to the Post road and the line was short. there is plenty of room to drive around. In the spring, the landscaping looks pleasant if you do have to wait.”
