“I have to admit, I assumed this would be a Newbury Comics knock off - but I thought the selection was wonderfully curated, and the people working there were SO helpful - we sort of wandered in with a 1, 2, and 3 year old - the one guy directed us towards the things in their sizes, quickly pulled things down if anyone so much as glanced at them, and found matching things from the adult section. When he got the things we couldn’t reach down - he put all of the sizes on a rack we could reach and swapped them with sometime else so it was easy for us to pick them up ourselves. When he grabbed the adult stuff, he said - don’t worry if you don’t love that, just leave it there I can put it back - which was so thoughtful. I thought it was the best combination of salesmanship and consideration I’ve ever seen. Walking in it was just supposed to be browsing and a time sink, and we walked out with things we really liked. The other employees were sweet with the kids and knowledgeable about the things we were buying. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole concept as well - 1 meal for every $10 spent - so it was a fantastic experience. I don’t think I’ve ever even thought to write a review of a store in a mall but bravo Box Lunch!”

“This is an excellent place with lots of parking since almost nobody shops at Kohl's. Kohl's is convenient and takes Amazon returns, which never have a line.There is Harbor Freight, where you can find the most comparable tools at Home Depot for half the price.Then there is Aldi's. Aldi's is a German-owned grocery store owned by the same person who owns Trader Jo's. It is a streamlined, practical, and very cheap way to shop for organic vegetables, cheese, and meat, and I say this after years and years of shopping at Whole Foods. It is half the price compared to Whole Foods for not providing variety. The remarkable thing about Aldi's in Wallingford is that it is well-managed, and the clientele is respectful. The store is clean, and the carts are well-kept and smooth-running. You can check yourself out and get in and out of the store without meandering through aisles of useless stuff on sale that tempts you at the big grocery stores and wastes time. The only time you are waiting in line is during the peak hours of the weekend. I cannot say all Aldi's are well managed like Wallingford. West Hartford and Hamden do not have self-checkout, and the clientele differs.”

The manager Lexi was fabulous at finding the right pieces to go together and styling less with our individual taste in mind. My friend walked away with an amazing outfit for the event. And I walked away with more than I should have… But I love it! on the way out I met her woman who had a coat from here that I also liked. She said she’s been wearing it for years. So I have good faith if this jacket will last me for years to come. Everything in sizes from size 10 to size 28. Which was perfect for the both of us to go shopping together.Thanks, Lexi! “this store \\u0026 it's inventory has not changed in 40 years ... except for the piercing/body jewelry and 420 friendly inventory of apparel. Spencer's still carries the raunchy, obscene \\u0026 retro items we grew up with. their $3 - $5 dollar tee shirts now retail for $22. but hey, if you're suddenly in the mood for a lava lamp, a weed Tee, KISS posters and a gag gift ... Spencer's!”

“1st. Please allow me to apologize for my late post ( still had to cause my girl Jill to be my new stylist) as life always tends to stretch you in all kinds of directions... Last Month (end of April ... April 27th at that) with 20 mins to spare... now let me say this, I have worked in retail, and I have also been a General Manager of a restaurant. I now am in development said all that to say I WORK WITH PEOPLE ALL THE TIME AND WHEN I WANT TO GO HOME, I WANT TO GO HOME, and this woman JILL (lord Jill was sent from heaven and made from THEE Creator His/Herself) I needed anything FANCY! I'm typically an Express Pantsuit, Forever 21 H&M mash-up kinda girl. I own a few pieces from White House Black Market ( always catch a sale) but with no other stores willing to allow me in and LOOK, JILL did . I was hosting a fundraiser where I raised 62K!! It was my 1st assignment under my new role and even though I missed my hair and nail appointment trying to make sure everything was PERFECT, Jill took her TIME and allowed me to try on multiple outfits, shoes belts, and all. I never felt rushed and was told to stop apologizing. It's very hard finding exceptional service. Jill's actions spoke volumes of the Brand of the company. Being that the pandemic pushed everyone into GRUMPY x10, not really loving the job or having genuine passion, Jill was exceptional ASF (I'm sorry for the profanity) I have never in my 31 years of living experience someone so kind and sweet and patient, especially in the midst of a pandemic. Goodbye, Loft, and Hello White House Black Market! Jill thank you, thank you, thank you. You have no idea how many compliments I got wearing that dress (Purple, Green, and Blue Pleated no sleeves)I was in the room with over 400 million dollars Net & you Jill made me fill like I was the only Important person in the room. “Love the clothes here! Technical but just as good for casual wear as for your workout. I even wear some pieces to work. Every stitch and seam has a purpose but the pieces are pretty too! and the best fit of any workout wear I've tried! The price is well worth it as they last and wear well. Plus, while they are on trend, they aren't fad-y, so you can wear them on and on.”
