“Every freaking time I am amazed at the honesty within this business. A few years back I went in to do a brake job but they told me not to spend the money because on our Jeep the rear axle was too rotted to drive safely. Then I brought my Passat in because it was shutting off. A few minor things and it was like new! Now I brought my van in because a big box shop told me I needed to get a new manifold for $900 after someone stole my catalytic converter. I went straight to Emmit’s and they changed the gasket for no where near what the others said and it runs like new. Don’t waste your time calling around, you can trust these guys!”

“This place was a god send!! I went the other day to another shop to get an oil change and tire rotation after speaking with them the day before. Walked in to no lights on and no one in there, door unlocked. Soon two gentleman from the back came out and gruffly said they were closed and I said ok but your door is unlocked to which they replied how else would the workers get in. So I left and called another shop who was able to squeeze me in and got my car done within 40 mins. They even charged way less than what the other shop quoted. When I asked if they were able to recalibrate my tire sensors after the rotation they went to make sure it was done. Sardo’s is my go to shop from now on. This was my first time having my car serviced since moving here and they knocked it out of the park. The other guys lost a potential client. I understand things happen but it’s how you treat people that is what keeps people loyal to you, and it is evident Sardo’s is in the business of taking care of their clients.”

He was recommended to me by another mechanic-I was told it was head gasket by a few people but he checked it out and found out it was the oil cooler. “My son got into an accident on prospect/Naugatuck line. Local police called ace auto since they were next on tow rotation. 3 cars needed to be towed they showed up with 2 wreckers and a flat bed. Since my sons car is rear wheel drive with front end damage they put it on dollies. As a former wrecker operator myself I do understand police tows, state rates, and additional cost and was ready for a whopper of a bill for it to be towed from Naugatuck to Wolcott. Not only did they not try and take me for a ride, they were professional and polite. Will use again! Quality family owned and operated business...A big thank you to Eric for a job well done!”

“I drive 36k miles a year for work. Sometimes an "ouch" happens. I was with friends in Westport and one of them told me about this place, convincing me with the words "thee bessst" . He told me to call and ask for Emo. My friend came with me to drive me back to Westport when I would drop off my car. Emo, the owner came out, he looked at the scratches and said "tell your friend you're all set and he can go." He said hang on, he drove it into the shop. 20 minutes later..... Boom! Scratches were out! I paid and even tipped the guy inside who did it. I was beyond grateful. I was quoted 6x the price in Westport. But it's not about the money really. It's about looking at your, brand new again and saying WOWWW!!!. call and ask for Dom or Steph too. They work with the insurance companies and the hassles they bring.”
“Finding a good and honest mechanic is hard to find. These guys only fix what needs to be done. Most shops change rotors and brakes at same time. They will not change rotors and charge extra is not needed. I have come to them for years and never had any issues. Wouldn't trust anyone else with my car.”
“I had the most professional and attentive service recently after my park, unoccupied car was hit and totaled by a drunk driver. The entire staff, including Bennie, Bobbie, and Joe treated me like family. I didn't find out about the car accident until my car was missing from my street. I called the New Haven Police department , and I was referred to Catapano Autobody. I found out about details concerning the accident from Bobby and Bennie, and I was able to obtain a police report from them. I had yet to receive my copy from the police department.Also, Bobby and Bennie called me weekly regarding insurance, my obtaining my personal property from my vehicle,vand other procedures to get compensated from the driver's insurance company.I felt comfortablel dealing with Catapano Autobody because I was dealing with humans who actually cared. I highly recommend Catapano Autobody.”

“Highly recommend Mike's Towing! My son was in a motorcycle accident and Mike's Towing had to tow the motorcycle to Orange PD for investigation (procedure because he was unconscious at the scene) and when it was released Mike's Towing had to pick it back up from Orange PD. One of the first things that Mike asked was how my son was doing! (He was banged up but home the next day!) . The motorcycle had no damage at all from towing two times and was sitting in his garage bay when I picked it up. They said they would help me load it up onto my trailer and they did it themselves! “Called Chippys on the hottest day of the year because I hammered my motorcycle trailer backing up. They quoted a fair price and came to Huntington (almost Trumbull) to bring my trailer to Waterbury. They came quickly (25 minutes) loaded my trailer on a flatbed and delivered it to Waterbury (they almost beat me there in the flatbed). Great service, fair price and a friendly driver. “What’s not to love, old fashioned friendly service the way gas stations used to be. It’s also where I go to catch up on fishing talk and gossip. Try that at another gas station! I’ve been going to Armands since I was a kid going with my parents and I see no reason to change. When I’m in Seymour it’s the only gas station I will use.”
