“We recently had a wellness exam for our 4 year old 94 pound dog at Salem Vet. As always they were awesome — from the staff at the desk, to the techs, to the doctors. The doctor took the time to talk about any concerns or issues we were having and at the same time made our dog feel as comfortable as possible — by the end of the visit he was following her around like he didn’t want to leave!! We always have a great experience at Salem Vet and would highly recommend them for the care of your pets.”

“Great staff! Attentive, friendly, accomodsting, always remember who I am & more. This is a modern veterinary practice with a small town feeling. They know & greet my dog &/or cats as well as me with smiles/concern appropriate to the situation and make me feel they are happy to see us even if things aren't great. Every time I'm there, I see all the pet patients (and their humans) treated like this. They are knowledgeable abouut the veterinary field. They listen carefully and are often able to guide me . I like that the "front office staff" aren't only receptionists, but knowledgeable about the veterinary field and know what questions to ask to make sure the appropriate time is scheduled & thst the doctor has the best information possible before seeing us. They are great at easing fears, boosting spirits, consoling patient & owner and more.I'm always impressed that when the doctors or technicians walk into the exam room, they give me a quick hello, then immediately focus on whomever I'm bringing in that day. They take the time necessary to be sure they have a good amount of time for observation & hands on time as well as listening carefully to my concerns and the information I give them is respected. The facility is always neat & clean and privacy is respected. I have used Salem Valley Veterinary since they opened, and despite the expected staff changes over time (20 or so years worth) the quality of services is still excellent. I highly recommend them and hope that you will take the time to develop a solid relationship with the staff as it only helps us both to give our precious companions the best life we can.”

“Debbie and the Wizard of Paws team are some of the most amazing, caring people I’ve come in contact with. I brought in my pittie boy Bubba following an FHO hip surgery and they were with us every step of the way for many weeks on his big road to recovery. I have no doubt he would not be running free like he is now without their help. Flash forward about a year later to now, when Bubba started limping out of nowhere in his front leg, I knew exactly who to contact. Tricia was so responsive and timely over email. I brought him in within a week for evaluation, and I saw a huge improvement after one session. Not to mention they have been incredibly understanding with Bubba’s behavioral and training needs as well. Do not hesitate to trust Wizard of Paws with your fur baby’s needs!!!”

“Great first visit here! my dog was not a patient there but was able to be seen the day I called. Staff was very friendly and attentive to my senior pup. Did not feel rushed at all. The Dr. took her time on examining my pup and explained all care options. We found a new vet for our 2 dogs!”

“After a previously poor experience at a different vet clinic in the area, it's safe to say I was VERY nervous taking my girl back there so I was in the market for a new veterinarian. After some research I can across good friends vet clinic and saw all of the good reviews. They are all being modest. Sincerely the veterinarians here are all fantastic and great at what they do. My girl isn't the biggest fan of the techs, but if they give her a treatie they became fast friends. There is decent availability and good working hours for my schedule. I also like how they are open on Saturdays. After I few appointments and feeling like Moose was in good hands, I scheduled her spay to be here. I was SO nervous to drop her off, but everyone made me feel at ease. I got two follow up phone calls and a detailed care plan for her post op. I also did not have to keep here there overnight. There weren't any complications and she healed very nicely & quickly. As long as I live in the area we will be coming here.”

“My dog is family to us. When she started to get sick on Labor day weekend , we were in a panic because my normal vet was out of town. Norwich Vet was the only vet opened. It also was a Sunday of this holiday weekend. The girl on the phone was wonderful. Knowing I had never been. Come right in . What a wonderful experience. The vet was so nice . Did not rush . Gave me meds. The price was not crazy.

“Had a older Cat that was suddenly at the end of her long beautiful life and couldn't find a Vet any where near me to help with her suffering.
They were the only one to step up to help her.
Can't say enough about the Vet Tech, Doctor and their compassion.
The Vet Tech put her in a cardboard type casket with her name beautifully written on it along with a little clear type container that had some of her hair in it, a ribbon and a paw charm on it.
That ment so much to me and I'll never forget it. ❤️”

“The BEST emergency vet on this side of CT! My dog, Erinie, was in extremely grave condition (on a Sunday morning), they had me come right in, they knew exactly what to do, did it, and did it well. Erinie is now well on the mend!

The cost was about half of what I expected for a two night stay. If a reason ever arises, I will go back. A HUGE thank you to all the friendly staff! And to the tech who took initial care of him, sorry about your shoes.”
