“By far my favorite post office, they are kind every time you go, and they are extremely knowledgeable, and will help you ship something as cheaply as possible. One thing to note is a few years ago the post box in front got broken into and things stolen, and there is no camera on the front of the building! So if you’re mailing something important go inside to drop it off.”

The post master let me go into the office and use the office computer to access my online banking there. I was surprised. They also helped me find the correct box I needed to fit my item snuggly and offered free air cushions to make sure item did not slide around in the box. Transaction completed with no issues. “I use this post office regularly, and when I first moved into town I kind heave thought people weren’t as friendly as I thought a small town would be, but then I started talking to the people just a short conversation being friendly , and that’s all it takes. Think about it your dealing with a lot of people who just come to the counter and say maybe 5-7 words and nothing else hand a pkg over or letters , pay for them and literally walk away without a thank you or have a nice day. Think about how you would feel after 8 hours of helping people and many not acknowledging you.So the next time you write a review first think about how you treated the PERSON behind the counter!!Donna Benjamin”

“These guys have been absolutely incredible in the process of locating my packages. The pastfew years I have moved around the state and dealt with many post offices across Connecticut, and Portland by far cares the most about the individuals in this town.Not sure if they got a new post master or what exactly happened because when I first moved here I was having some minor delivery issues, but they seriously go above and beyond to help people out and they deserve some real recognition for it.Be a decent human when you talk to them- they’re stretched very thin, and still are managing to do their best despite the circumstances.
