“My go to for inexpensive snacks and quick meals- especially for making charcuterie boards. Yes I still love them despite the wave trying to encourage other boards. All the little extras are best purchased here, whipped cream for coffee, eggs, iced coffee, boba tea, smoked salmon, poke bowls, mozzarella sticks (air fry and thank me later) the list is endless. You never know what will come next with Aldi finds. I'm hoping to someday get a department store sized Aldi to truly experience all the deals I see online. Some stores have a full cosmetics counter which I've yet to see in CT. And I'm dying to try their perfumes which have been quoted as being designer dupes. The managers and staff are typically great. You can ask them if new items are worth purchasing and they get to know you if you frequent the store like I do. I recommend you go early morning if you can during the week. Avoid weekends and after schools lines are typically much longer. Shelves can get empty towards the end of the day too.”
“Store is modern and clean. Food is crazy good. My favorites are Italian Veggie (pictured), Godfather and Cesar wrap. Whenever they have meatballs in the case I grab a box full and make a great dinner with them even the kiddos love.”
“Ordered a PATCHWORK cake ?When I say, DELICIOUS..... This cake served 8 people. Light, airy, tasty and unapologetically delectable. I believe that everyone should taste this cake at least once in their lifetime.”
“I enjoy it do not know why anyone would not shop here. Even tho I am not a member of the local community the food here is so much healthier and better for you. Not to mention it's close to what you would pay at stop and shop with less headaches”
“I am still friends with the original people who started New Morning in the early 1970s. John and Jane, the owners for many years now, have done a fabulous job of making New Morning into the beautiful store it is today! Great food, service and reasonable prices for organic, healthy food. Just moved back to town and will be shopping there often! So glad they are still a thriving business! Great job, John and Jane!”
“*UPDATE* Shortly after posting this review, a manager at LaBonne's actually took the time to call and apologize for this situation and get more information on it. We greatly appreciate that and as such my original 1 Star review will be changed to the 5 Star review that they otherwise would have deserved. For anyone reading this going forward, know that the issues below have been acknowledged and addressed.-- This review will be quite long, but out of respect for LaBonne's and any potential readers, a full explanation of a 1 star review from what I would otherwise give a 5 star review is owed. If you read it all, I appreciate you taking the time. --My family has been going to LaBonne's Market for years, ever since it was under different ownership and called Oliver's. It is and always has been an excellent store for easy, quick grocery shopping in town with more than enough variety and fairly dependable freshness.That makes posting this review very hard, but unfortunately necessary. For all the good at LaBonne's, there is one downside that now sours the entire experience of shopping there. That downside is the Deli Department. The actual quality of the product is fine but the service is not. To be clear, this is ONLY an issue with the Deli.The problem is that once you ask for your slice and okay the size, if you do not pay attention, they will change the size and make it thicker to make their job easier, at the expense of giving customers far thicker meat or cheese than requested. This often ruins meals, wastes product, and therefore wastes my time and money.Today though was the event that prompted my review, as this crossed the line from terrible service to egregious behavior. There is one worker who intentionally went very slow, to the point their co-workers were clearly becoming inconvenienced and annoyed, because we asked for the cheese to be sliced thin and stuck around to watch them cut it. Then they very clearly and intentionally stacked it quite messy as shown in the photo, I presume out of spite because their annoyance was palpable at that point.I understand people can be tiring and stressful, but at the end of the day it is their job to interact with people and fulfill their orders. It is completely unacceptable for a worker to act so spiteful and vindictive simply because someone asked them to do their job.I will not be posting names because at the end of the day, I go there every week and don't wish to see anyone fired. Although, people who go frequently and fellow employees can likely infer who I'm talking about. All I wanted to do was share this so people could be aware of the achilles heel of this otherwise great establishment if they are new customers and maybe let returning customers who have had similar experiences know they are not alone.In a perfect world, perhaps this might spark an internal conversation there that could set things back on the right path without any individuals losing their job or being too strictly reprimanded. Maybe the individual mentioned would be better off and, happier even, in a different role for example, I don't know.If you took the time to read this far, thank you very much. If you are an employee or owner of Labonne's and read this far, thank you for your time and your excellent store. It really would be a 5 Star review for me if this wasn't an issue, but for my family it has become a very large one. Large enough to convince to post a review (an extreme rarity for me) in hopes of seeing things improve.Thank you again for your time and attention.”
“Drove a truck team with brother Deprow Brothers we defantantly know how fresh things where delivered did it weekly it was our dedicated run met several of the 7 brothers including the mayor Michael at the time. They as the family to be around an hello to big A.”

“Great place to stop by and get almost everything you could use from you're local grocery store, plus they have a little bit more. If I'm not in the city stopping by a bodega, trust I'm right at Daniels market getting all my needs and wants most times addressed.”
“Great prepared foods at the deli and the hot bar. They have good quality deli meats. The market will take special orders for any item you need to be put aside for pickup. I ordered a fresh tukey for Thanksgiving here and it was delicious.”
“Great Hispanic/American mini market. They have delicious already cooked foods, hot bread, and many other great things. Parking is a little cramped for space, but otherwise a good shopping experience.”

“My wife who just immigrated here from the Balkans had such tears of joy when we found this place with a the flavors of home she misses. We picked up some of our favorite staples we just cannot find in the USA. We drove a the way from Philadelphia.The shop keeper is a very warm gentleman and was happy to chat ? this is a wonderful store and for how far away the products come they are great prices. Will most definitely be coming back again!”
“Derby Big Y is convenient & parking is good. Fresh Fish cold case is a winner & they also fry fish for take out fish & chips. Service is good. Store seems a little crowded with products but that's a good thing I guess. Well lit & clean. One of the better grocery stores in Southern Connecticut. Derby store does not have gas pumps. You need to go to Milford for Big Y gas which is very reasonably priced.”
“Great prices for members only. Because of the low price, they are usually crowded. It is common not to get a receipt when you request one at the pump. Some of the buttons at the pump are worn-out, so if you don't have them memorized, you can't answer the 'yes' or 'no' questions.”

“So today I stopped by to buy a few things and I thought that I had left my bug there so I returned and explained to them that I had left the bag there and they were so so helpful in the process. I only later found out that the stuff was stuck under my car seat. Their customer service is amazing!!! As a Jamaican native they have 99.9% of what you need at a cheaper price to the competitors”
“5 stars for entertainment, although I’m disappointed I can’t buy a shotgun at the same place I do my grocery shopping anymore the entertainment is always the best. On this particular visit I was going in to purchase a few things and saw an older lady that must have been around 70 swing and hit a grown man with a butterball turkey!!!!”
