“I have been coming to Wayside Market since I was a little kid. I love coming here because it is nostalgic for me and also they carry items such as bacalao, pastella de natas, fresh cheese, fresh produce, chorizo, and more! Much, much, more!They also make delicious homemade food you order to go such as rice, chicken, veggies, fish, and more.The people who work at the market are friendly and they are consistent workers there so they get to really know their customers.The parking lot has plenty of parking however, around the holidays it can be a little tough to find a spot.This place is great to find those international items that you really will have a tough time finding anywhere else. I highly recommend this place!”

“My go to for inexpensive snacks and quick meals- especially for making charcuterie boards. Yes I still love them despite the wave trying to encourage other boards. All the little extras are best purchased here, whipped cream for coffee, eggs, iced coffee, boba tea, smoked salmon, poke bowls, mozzarella sticks (air fry and thank me later) the list is endless. You never know what will come next with Aldi finds. I'm hoping to someday get a department store sized Aldi to truly experience all the deals I see online. Some stores have a full cosmetics counter which I've yet to see in CT. And I'm dying to try their perfumes which have been quoted as being designer dupes. The managers and staff are typically great. You can ask them if new items are worth purchasing and they get to know you if you frequent the store like I do. I recommend you go early morning if you can during the week. Avoid weekends and after schools lines are typically much longer. Shelves can get empty towards the end of the day too.”

“Store is modern and clean. Food is crazy good. My favorites are Italian Veggie (pictured), Godfather and Cesar wrap. Whenever they have meatballs in the case I grab a box full and make a great dinner with them even the kiddos love.”

“Just had a great double burger combo from the deli located in the back! It was well prepared, well sized, and to quote my son "the best food on our trip so far." I like finding out of the mainstream places and would say it's well worth a stop for travelers. It's two blocks from the Cambia hotel, and if you don't want to walk they are on Doordash.”

“I've been going to Grillos Market for almost 30 years..They are the best people that work there. They have everything you need in just one stop. Paying bills, stamps, receiving merchandise orders on line, & lotto.They are so great at multi tasking! Never worry if crowded.. they get you.in & out! Must see for yourself. “African Queens Market African & Caribbean Grocery is a great place to find authentic African and Caribbean food and groceries. The store is well-stocked with a wide variety of items, including fresh produce, meats, seafood, and spices. During my visit, the store is going through expansion. As a result, the inside is a little chaotic.I did not really browse the store to see whether they have a selection of prepared foods, such as jollof rice, waakye, and chofie.The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were happy to help me find what I was looking for.”

“Four corners is a Middlebury staple. Located smack dab in the middle of town it doesn't get any more convenient for towns people. They have a nice selection of fruits, vegetables, and meats. I haven't tried their seafood section however. They pretty much have everything that you want. Store is pretty compact so you can be in and out in a jiffy. Prices are very competitive as well. I think what will help immensely is if they considered updating their lighting to something just a bit brighter. It's a bit dim inside. Overall it's a great option for us if we need to pick up something quick.”

“Derby Big Y is convenient & parking is good. Fresh Fish cold case is a winner & they also fry fish for take out fish & chips. Service is good. Store seems a little crowded with products but that's a good thing I guess. Well lit & clean. One of the better grocery stores in Southern Connecticut. Derby store does not have gas pumps. You need to go to Milford for Big Y gas which is very reasonably priced.”

“I’m writing this review as a heartfelt thanks to the owner of Wooster Street Market, for the kindness he extended to my Dad yesterday. My Dad was driving home from a dentist appointment and suddenly felt sick. He pulled over in to the parking lot of the market to gather himself because he felt unable to drive. A patron alerted the owner to what was going on, and he came outside to ask if my Dad was okay, if he needed a ride home, or something else they could provide. Getting sick while driving is such a vulnerable situation. So I’m incredibly thankful that my Dad encountered such a caring person in that situation.”

“I am equidistant to this location and another one but I do prefer shopping at the one in Prospect. They have a good selection of food and goods. I use their app to load coupons and then just plug in my phone # at the register. The line usually isn't very long but even when it is it does move quickly which makes it easy if you just need to run in for one or two items. The sales people are helpful.”

“A great little big store. The butchery department was very small at the moment and possible under renovations but the meat was very very fresh and bright in color. We were welcomed upon entry with smiles. The brother behind the meat counter was great and informative. The selection of turkish and middle east dry goods was beyond amazing. “This location has a 2-star Yelp average -- say what? C'mon folks, this place is OK! We came in three or four times during a relatively short visit to Seymour and found all the items that we needed at prices that I considered to be normal. The non-self-service checkout lines were a bit long, but we were able to check out easily with the self-service option. I was positively impressed by the deli counter, where customers came in with long lists of sliced cheese and meats that they wanted to buy in small quantities. The personnel behind the counter filled all requests without blinking or complaining. I tried a grab 'n' go Italian sandwich from the case adjacent to the deli counter. It was excellent! I went to the restroom and found it to be clean and functional. Conclusion: nothing to complain about. I was a satisfied customer.”
