“This little shop may not have everything when you want it, but none of that matters. It's a friendly place run by a husband and wife team who are the epitome of a good, wholesome American family. Their support staff is great as well. Even though they don't have "everything" "all of the time" they can get it for you pretty quick. Almost of the "standard" hardware and seeds are almost always in stock.No snobs work here. Yet the owners and the staff are more knowledgeable than many of the clerks I've encountered at the larger shops. This shop is second only to Paul Harrell and Hichcock45 in teaching me, a relative newbe, about firearms.Even though there are shops closer to me, this will always be my favorite. I travel far to go to Goody's for my hardware needs and I travel far to go to CT Sporting Arms for my "pew pew" needs.”

“I enrolled in the pistol permit class like anyone else looking to obtain a pistol permit in the state of Connecticut. Leading up to the course I felt I was mentally prepared for the 8hr day of sitting in a classroom. However, the thought of having to be tested on my knowledge of firearms, how to safely operate them, and the laws that accompany owning them was a stressful notion. I had no need to be concerned. Even if you never plan on owning a firearm, everyone should take the pistol permit class offered at Blue Trail Range at least once. It was informative, engaging, and extremely well run. Our instructor Mark should receive rewards for how well he teaches, manages a room, and handles tough students. I can't speak highly enough of how enjoyable he made the entire process. Even though Blue Trail is a bit of a hike from where I live I will certainly be returning. All of the staff I interacted with were extremely friendly, welcoming, and supportive. It will be tough for you to find a course that surpasses what Blue Trail offers and the staff they employ. Thank you Mark and everyone at Blue Trail for a wonderful experience.”

I've been coming here now for my ammo, which they also make in-house. Some say the prices are high, but that's just being cheap. This place sells QUALITY guns. Highly recommend.”
