“My family visited on May 3,2024 for my baby son's passport appointment. Oksana was very helpful and friendly. I brought with me a filled out DS11, my son's birth certificate, a photocopy of the certificate which wasn't needed, parents' IDs, one photocopy of the front of the IDs together and and another for the back, and the check made out to US department of State which I had to add my son's first name and date of birth to the bottom. Oksana was able to take a really nice photo of my son. I paid the $35 execution fee and $15 photo fee by credit card.”
“By far my favorite post office, they are kind every time you go, and they are extremely knowledgeable, and will help you ship something as cheaply as possible. One thing to note is a few years ago the post box in front got broken into and things stolen, and there is no camera on the front of the building! So if you’re mailing something important go inside to drop it off.”

“These guys have been absolutely incredible in the process of locating my packages. The pastfew years I have moved around the state and dealt with many post offices across Connecticut, and Portland by far cares the most about the individuals in this town.Not sure if they got a new post master or what exactly happened because when I first moved here I was having some minor delivery issues, but they seriously go above and beyond to help people out and they deserve some real recognition for it.Be a decent human when you talk to them- they’re stretched very thin, and still are managing to do their best despite the circumstances. They risk their lives daily to get us our Amazon packages and Time magazine subscriptions. Thank you guys.”
“Was here yesterday (1/23/24) for a passport renewal. Asia was so helpful and kind. Was in and out within minutes. She was so patient even during the photo taking for the passport. Highly recommended for passport applications and renewals.”
“Decent if you're using the self-service kiosk. There are times when it may be acting up, no physical receipt, trouble with the label scanner, but you can always have the digital copy sent to your email. Great for busy ebay and Amazon sellers.”
“I use this post office regularly, and when I first moved into town I kind heave thought people weren’t as friendly as I thought a small town would be, but then I started talking to the people just a short conversation being friendly , and that’s all it takes. Think about it your dealing with a lot of people who just come to the counter and say maybe 5-7 words and nothing else hand a pkg over or letters , pay for them and literally walk away without a thank you or have a nice day. Think about how you would feel after 8 hours of helping people and many not acknowledging you.So the next time you write a review first think about how you treated the PERSON behind the counter!!Donna Benjamin”

“Be forewarned that this is a very popular local post office and usually has long lines. I prefer this post office; however, because the staff are invariably hardworking, knowledgeable, and professional. I regularly have to send packages to my daughter at her university in another country. Like my local mail mailed from this office, items mailed to this and other distant locations always arrive quickly and intact.Thank you to everyone at this location!”
“I came for passport services and the service received was 5+.Staff was courteous, professional, and detailed.I just moved to Simsbury and earlier in the week I went to the Simsbury one onHopMeadow . The service was awful, The agent in Simsbury treated me like an idiot and was rude..What a difference 4.7 miles makes.”
“I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. I am a customer here more than 2 years and I have never faced with any described issues. The staff is always friendly and helpful, especially Vikki - she is the best! Often I fly to this post office at 4.57 pm and I always get service without any attitude. Based on my experience I could say that the most of people who left negative reviews just did not want to cooperate if something was going wrong and blamed post office team.”
“Typically efficient, and I'm able to get in & out in a reasonable amount of time.
Once in a while, they have fewer staff and if you happen to walk in at the same time as a bunch of others the wait can be longer. However, you can't plan for this.”

“This post office is usually very busy. The folks here are friendly and do their best, and are also usually very overwhelmed and understaffed. If I'm in a rush, I go elsewhere.”
“The Cromwell Post Office has consistently over the years provided us with great service, both at the counter and mail/home delivery. Our regular carrier, Dave, is a top-flight guy, and Jamie is kind and considerate. These folks are an example of fine, dedicated public service.”

“Jackie is extremely helpful at this post office. My mail was getting forwarded from Stamford, CT to Hartford, CT when it shouldn’t have been. After 2 weeks of getting no help, Jackie helped me and was able to recover the missing mail and mail it to me personally. I appreciate her help so much and hope everyone gets to experience the customer service that Jackie provided me.”
