“Im like freaking addicted to this store I always buy DVDs and CDs and sometimes if they don't have it in store they always ordered it I also into the books too I've been shopping here since they open their store is so neat clean and always friendly staff as well I just only shop here for my books CDs and dvd blu-rays I just love this store what else can I say it's just a magical place I'm addicted to it”
“Extremely comfortable and vibey cafe. A must go for anyone who just wants excellent, and extremely affordable coffee and bagels. Free water is provided and the staff were extremely friendly. Theres are tonnes of books on the shelves as well for you to browse through.”
“Lots of stuff for students and tons of New Haven swag. Would like to see better organization of the athletic stuff (football specifically) to make it easier to find. Also bigger sizes for football stuff as players are generally XL or 2X or bigger.”
“This is a nice concept:Book store with a coffee shop, a serious book store.Some of the stuff are premade, so adjust your expectations.Their bakery’s portions are big, but being a usual France traveler, it’s just OK. “Amazing selection of quality Yale branded items. We shopped during a sale, which made it surprisingly economic. The only minimal downside is that they didn't have dog toys. Still a great experience with friendly, helpful associates.”

“it was such a pleasure and honor to meet co-owner Karen of black owned Kindred Thoughts Bookstore and explore the gems of their collection. Arlene , Christelle , my son Nico and myself had a wonderful time visiting from Long Island . We learned of the origins of how the store came to be , listened and share travel adventures , Karen introduced us to new authors and works of literature. Christelle was able to obtain the well known 1969 Maya Angelou classic “ I know why the caged bird sings “ and I was suprised to see and obtained “ Badquiat-isms “ Jean Michel Basquiat. I can’t wait to come back again , one of my favorite spots . God bless kindred Thoughts Book store ! see you soon ??”
“I have no association with UB whatsoever but that didn't stop me from driving 50 miles to come here for all my purple needs. The store itself is difficult to find if you're not familiar with the layout of the campus but it's worth the trip regardless. The staff are friendly and willing to assist if you ever need help. With this impending takeover by Goodwin University, I pray UB is allowed to keep its identity and colors.”

The books are veryyyy reasonably priced and she has a huge selection of books and if you’re looking for something specific you can just ask her and she will help. I can’t wait to go back!
