“I can't say enough about this establishment, the staff is so nice, the owner is so polite and patient. My card had an issue and he was kind enough to wait until I called my bank, also I was told my new puppy cavapoo was a little matted under the belly and before they just shaved or trimmed him, they called me to inform me first. I noticed how the other fur babies were happy and how the place was so clean and the groomers were sweet and friendly and gentle with our babies. It doesn't smell and you could see your pups grooming area and waiting areas which were clean as well. I would highly recommend this place, they did a fantastic job with " jourdy and my best friend's golden noodle poodle chance.”
“I took my 6yo Golden Retriever to Dirty Dog this afternoon for a self wash. The staff was so welcoming, helpful, and resourceful. We had plenty of shampoo and conditioner to work with, along with tearless face shampoo, ear wash and toothpaste! The water was the perfect temperature and the hose easily moved all around my dog. The blow dryer was great and dried her quickly. I was easily able to add on a nail trim and the tech was very confident and proficient which put my Rosie at ease as she dislikes her paws touched and hates to have her nails trimmed! We finished the experience with a homemade banana and peanut butter cookie! I can’t wait until my Rosie is dirty again and needs another bath, as we will definitely be back on a regular basis. This place is a gem!”

“Better than TSC by a mile! All my plants from Smithland are thriving. No dead bare root fruit plants to be seen. I do wish the puddles in the plant section were swept out so they could dry, but that's my biggest complaint.”
“The store has a great selection of gardening products for outdoors. They are a bit pricey on some items. Lookup the product you want first than see where it's cheapest. You'll see what I mean. For indoor gardening you'll want to shy away from grow tents or lighting. Better deals online. They do have a great line of Espoma brand mixes and soils and Foxfarm products at a good price. Their plants are great quality and when on sale great prices. I have no clue about their pet department.”
“Some of the people there help you find what you need and they're very nice. Went there to look for either a gecko or bearded dragon. Get all my crickets and bugs there for my bearded dragon.”
“I loved everything about Newington Pet Spa from start to finish! Making an appointment was quick and easy and they were able to work with my busy schedule. They had a consultation with me before cutting her hair and explained everything to me very well so I knew exactly what they were going to do. And the best part is, they did a fantastic job on her hair cut! I had taken her to other places in the past which didn't do a great job, but they did! They did a great job cutting her hair by her face and paws too, which isn't always easy for a wiggly dog. Her nails were cut well also! I definitely recommend them!”
“I think it's great that Petsmart let's Louie's Legacy Cat Shelter bring cats there so people can see them, with the goal of getting them adopted.
I was looking to see if my local Petsmart had some cats for me to look at.
They did - and I immediately fell in love with one of them.
They are very careful about finding the right home for a cat - but the adoption process went very smoothly in a very timely manner.
The girl from Louie's Legacy was very sweet and patient as she introduced us to our newest member of the family.

“Our boy plays hard all day and sleeps all night. A tired pup is a good pup. I can tell he’s playing hard from the sheer amount of dirt on him when we pick him up! Lol we love it, and the socialization aspect he gets as well. When we drop him off he doesn’t even look back once”
“Our puppy has been going to the Little Shop of Howlers for a few months now and she always comes back happy and beautifully groomed! They keep notecards for each customer and know that she doesn't like the blow dryer, so they're super patient and understanding about the pet's needs. That and I loooove how great she smells when she comes back! Thanks Little Shop of Howlers!”

She did very well with him. He's such a fussy pooch, but she managed to groom all his important areas.”
“A surprisingly varied inventory, including most of the things found at a local hardware store plus farm and outdoor tools. Outdoor clothes, tools, gardening equipment, trailer parts, pet and small farm animal foods, baby chicks and ducks, etc.”
“Update:I left a negative review for this store a year ago. I went back a few times after that, and I have to take back what I said. Things have improved since my last visit. Their fish selection is much better. The prices are competitive, if not better, than other local stores, and the staff is friendly. The manager was helpful, knowledgeable, and very polite. “Our 2 1/2 yr/old Golden needed his nails cut, and though his "coat" was a little long, we were concerned about how cold the weather has been. We took him to the Petco in Wallingford, CT, where he received great care. It was our 1st such visit, and the staff and service was outstanding! They did his nails, did a great job with his undercoat, and gave him a lighter than normal trim, and he looked outstanding. We will certainly keep them in mind for Nicky's next haircut, especially with these circumstances.”

“We came here for tarantula decor. A lot of reptile and fish decorations work perfectly. The selection for all animals was actually really good. The staff were outstanding and helped us out. It was a nice departure from big chain pet stores. This will be our go to pet store.”
“Love it.. If your pet is healthy/normal you get a vaccine. If it's not, you schedule an appointment with your vet. My vet can't schedule just the vaccine you need to have a exam too ... checking temperature, brushing hair etc. And the bill is double at the end.”

“Been coming here on and off since 2005. Not sure why Google only thought to prompt me for a review now. Long over due. Meriden feed is one of the best supply stores to go too. Employees are always helpful, it's well stocked, and always clean. I would recommend it to anyone.”
