“Montage is a wonderful destination for those looking for country furniture and decorative arts. Many of the shop's offerings are imported from Europe. Haut design and signed pieces are not the focus of Montage. Decorators and those looking to furnish or add to the style the homes have much from which to choose. My wife and I have purchased many items at Montage and visit the shop regularly. The owners are amiable, helpful and knowledgeable.”

“Kudos to Conall Haldane, the owner of Tri-State, and to his associate, Mike. Great work, reasonably priced, and super service oriented. Repairs included creating a missing drawer in a library table ,with intricate carving. Painted finishes, burl, locks, rosettes, vintage hardware, mirrored doors - all beautifully restored. They are accommodating with deliveries, understanding delays, and offering solutions in the most courteous and gracious manner. They work fast and are conscientious about their actions, regarding pick ups and deliveries.”

“I have only gone to G. Leibovitz Restoration -- from repairs to restoration. It is the only place to so in my opinion. Conveniently located next to the Copake Auction. A true artisian.”

“Nothing will haunt you like that one of a kind vintage piece that you didn’t buy!My three top tips for shopping vintage furniture and decor?1. Make a “wish list”. If you need several things, a chair, a headboard, a desk etc, know what you are searching for so that you can pounce on it when you see it! By nature vintage goods are one of a kind.2. Keep an open mind. Don’t go shopping for a specific thing on your list but instead be ready to buy anything on your list. You never know when you will find just the right head board while searching for a desk… And, if something “not on the list” speaks to you, LISTEN. If you just dismiss it out of hand you may be passing up a treasure! It might not be there next week!3. Know your measurements! How wide is the space between those two windows? How deep can that bookcase be? How much room do you have for a dresser between the kid’s beds? How much room for nightstands? How long is your sofa? That’s the only way to know if that amazing coffee table “works”. Photos of existing furniture and spaces are helpful too!Vintage furniture shopping is an adventure ! Enjoy it!”

“Huge antique shop full of interesting and unique pieces from early European things to mid century classics. Always new inventory, but you have to check frequently or you will be overrun with sold tags!”

“What a treasure this antique store is! The inventory changes constantly and there is always a wide variety of fine antiques from which to chose, paintings, bronzes, sculptures, furniture, etc from all different periods. It's worth the trip from anywhere and the selection accommodates all budgets. Dave Mason, the owner, is a really nice, honest dealer and an encyclopedia of antique knowledge. A better dealer with whom to do business cannot be found.”

“This country farm house is located in a small town. This place is an action house. We came to see the antique bikes and swap/meet. They also have auction now in live feed. They also auction all sort of things through the year. We came to see the bike ( big wheeled bikes). The road trip getting up here is 2 hrs from nyc and has great scenery.”
