“I have a 2014 Subaru Outback with 180,000 miles on it.
The check engine came on, and I took the car to a Subaru dealership. They let me know that the code was 2763 which indicates a problem in the transmission valve body.
They told me I had to replace the entire transmission for close to $7,000 versus around $2,000 for the valve body. I thought that was excessive and wanted to get a second opinion and took my car to Portland Automotive.
Portland Automotive thoroughly diagnosed the problem and confirmed that one of the valves was bad in the valve body and said I had to replace the valve body only.
They replaced the valve body in a timely manner, but unfortunately, when I got home, the check engine came back on and now there was a noticeable problem with the transmission.
I called Mike at Portland Automotive and he immediately said he’s going to send a tow truck to pick up my vehicle and take it back to the shop and make it right. Unfortunately, on the way back to Portland Automotive on the tow truck something happened to the radiator which caused it to start leaking.
Instead of charging me for a new radiator, they replaced it at no charge. They also redid the entire valve body repair and tested the car for three days to make sure everything was OK.
I’m happy to report as of now it is running smoothly.
I would highly recommend Portland Automotive for standing by their work and their honest evaluation of my transmission problem.”

“Came to Tru Auto Mall looking to purchase a BMW 530i. They had the perfect vehicle in excellent condition at a price that was reasonable. I was greeted by sales man Geno. He was great to work with and ensured I took my time test driving the vehicle despite the weather being complete raining downpour. I loved the vehicle but it had a little shaking as though it may have required a wheel balancing. Geno and Ken assured me they would take care of the problem. They contacted me the next day and said they are putting new tires on the vehicle although they looked as though there was nothing wrong with them. I had a bit of unique situation - my car seat recliner setting was changed/moved all the way back by another repair/mechanic while trying to fix the car AC and now the seat won’t go back up. Went back to the original mechanic and they couldn’t do anything. I came to Joe’s just for an opinion- if it’s doable at all, or I had to replace electrical stuff inside the seat and one of the guys was nice enough, took the car in as a walk-in and 10 mins later it’s done!! He was trying to evaluate what’s wrong but tried couple things and it worked!! Honest auto repair, highly recommend their services”
