Jewelry, candles, coffee mugs, coastal things, sweets, sea glass art, is just the beginning of the list! Mostly everything sold there is handmade by local artisans. I was able to find the perfect gift for someone who has everything. A beautiful coconut bowl that the owner hand selected while in Thailand. Seems like every item there comes with a great story. “My wife and I visited the La-Z-Boy showroom in Milford, CT on or about April 6, 2024 for the primary purpose of inspecting a specific LZB product that I had been researching. We were immediately impressed by the size of the showroom, the range of offerings on display, and the quality and designs of the products available. My wife in particular was pleasantly surprised by all of these, expecting a much more downscale product and retail experience. We were quickly greeted by a salespeople (Tony) who asked how he could help. He directed us to the product of interest and proceeded to answer all of our relevant questions. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and easy-going in manner. The antithesis of a high-pressure salesperson. Long story short, we bought a recliner. But not just what I was looking for…we bought a recliner loveseat because my wife fell in love with how comfortable it was and it wasn’t the hideous piece of furniture she expected! “Went to Westville General to pick up some local New Haven themed gifts. It was a very cute and quaint shop. If you want local CT and New England items in the heart of Westville...this is your spot. We picked up two wooden spoons for a gift. One said New Haven, CT and the other said can't only eat Apizza. We grabbed an East Rock postcard and some stickers as well. The shopkeeper was very sweet and willing to help. This is definitely not an essentials store, but a really nice spot to pursue and buy unique items.”

But what brought me here to post a review is that I bought my Ethan Allen sofa 2 years ago and due to some health issues, spent a LOT of time on said sofa, causing some unusual issues. Kimberly Westfield - my original salesperson - not only listened to my concerns when I reached out to her, but without me asking, came to my home to look at the sofa and did what she could to fix them. “They were able to get us out of a bind we were in due to a screw up from someone else. We were able to go and pick up the item we needed for our wedding and avoid having an issue that could have easily been avoided. “HomeGoods was one of the worst places during the pandemic times.. They were open, they count the people coming and going being counted at door… great but if you buy a food related item they sell it to you.. but if you want to return it “oh no due to covid 19 we cant take back food related items!! “
The workers shook their shoulder said take it to TJMAXX management to complain..
So it is ok they handle the food related items, they take it out of the box, they put it on shelf, they touch it again at register multiple times when you buy it, put it in a bag… but if you want to return it after buying it.. “no cant take it back”
Because they are spotless and cleanest place.. but we are not!!!
During the virus activities, I recommend NOT TO BUY any food related item at HOMEGOODS anymore..
Now that pandemic situation thankfully over, Home Goods came back to new setup..
If you need something for your house, they probably have it.. enjoy your shopping!!”
“My experiences with the team have been great. Cliff and Tevon helped me tremendously. I was very picky when selecting a floor so I went back numerous times for samples and every time they were nice and willing to help. After purchasing the floor the transitions didn't arrive yet, but they provided the tracks so I could do the installation and pop the transitions in when they arrived. They were attentive and helpful every step of the way and a great crew to work with!”
