Fantastic gym. Great vibe. Positive people. Awesome coaches. I highly recommend this place if you want a Crossfit gym in new haven. It has all of the equipment you need in it. Tons of towers, bikes, barbells, rings, etc. great place to get a pump in. I guess they are making me write an even longer review than I currently am. I hope that this is enough now. Good lord how long of a review do I need to write. Definitely a great spot for your fitness needs.

BEWARE I wish I could give this gym zero stars. I attended a free introductory class, and Joe (one of the owners) happily verbally hazed his clients AND sexually assaulted a male client right in front of me--a prospective client he should have been trying to impress. Joe was displeased with the male client's performance during an exercise, so he walked right up to him and pinched both of the client's nipples through his shirt. The client's eyes got huge, but he said nothing while the rest of the class laughed. If that's how those folks act with a newbie in house, how do they behave when it's just the regulars??? I was shocked and appalled by the culture at this gym. I have never returned, and I tell my story openly to people. #mentoo #toxicmasculinity #sexualassault

Elm City CrossFit is one of the best gym environments I've ever been in. Although I'm not currently a member any more since I started another sport, I would recommend ECC for anyone. It doesn't matter your fitness level or age - give it a try. I'm 25 and attended Elm City CrossFit with my mother who's in her late 40s. She wasn't in great shape and hadn't really worked out in years, but ECC provided modifications for her and welcomed her with open arms. We both always got a great workout and met some great people. When it comes to biomechanics, the coaches really know their stuff. My mom and I did our on-ramp with Joe, and he really perfected my lifting technique. I'm so grateful to the coaches at Elm City CrossFit, because I'll never forget the good form they taught me and I'll always have good technique. Every single coach I had motivated me, and the class never felt competitive - I always felt like I was competing with myself. The camraderie at this place is unmatched. Even when I was the last person to finish the workout, I had my fellow CrossFitters cheering me on to the finish line. Every day was different so you'll never be bored. You get the attention of personal training with the team environment of group fitness. Forget the stereotypes you've heard about CrossFit. Give Elm City Crossfit a try, it could change your life.

ElmCity Crossfit was awesome enough to create a program for a group of young men who play football for Hamden Pop Warner! We where told they would be football ready for the next season! The Coaches created an amazing workout and inspired our group to commit to some hard work! We even had a few of the teams sisters join in the fun! In the end our Coaches delivered and we left football ready! Cant say enough about the program besides we'll be back!
