Laurie Mongillo, the owner, took time going through different types of shades, blinds, and fabrics, and explained the benefits of each. She then took measurements which proved to be on the money when the items were installed. The installer was very professional, timely, and skilled in his work. “I had the pleasure of working with Margie Satell at Ethan Allen in Manchester, CT. From the start she was very friendly and knowledgeable without being an overly aggressive salesperson. After listening to my end goal, she steered me in a direction that I never would have taken for kitchen stools. She even went above and beyond her duty by bringing a sample to my home to show me how it would look in my kitchen. After placing my order, Margie consistently contacted every so often me regarding the lead time. (The swivel section of the stools had a longer than average lead time) The stools finally arrived today and are much more beautiful than I expected! The leather seat covers look amazing and the quality of each piece is outstanding. I am so pleased with the choice! Many thanks to Margie for her design expertise; she was terrific to work with!T”

“Of you like Polish pottery, or appreciate quality workmanship, you should check out Janelle Imports in Enfield. The selection is outstanding. You can get anything from dinnerware to dog bowls, to Christmas ornaments and cutting boards. The pottery is not inexpensive, but if you watch for sales, you can do well. The women that work in the store are just delightful. They are super knowledgeable and helpful.”

“World Market is such a beautiful store. It has so much nostalgia for me, because here I can find some delicious German treats that I'd have as a kid that I'd never know still exist if it weren't for World Market. There are isles of international cookies, chocolate and other goods. There's also beautiful furniture, pillows and kitchen items. I personally wouldn't invest in a couch from World Market because it's typically very expensive, and you can find similar items at other retailers. But they have unique accent chairs and small attractive furniture items. My favorite thing to get here, in addition to the chocolate, are the Christmas ornaments. They are so, so beautiful, and so unique. There is so much detail in each one. Now that it's after Christmas, they are all 50% off, making each one around $2.50 - $4.00. If you have a World Market in your area, I'd encourage you go and check them out. While some items are more expensive, the unique items, hard to find items and the nostalgic items are what it's worth stopping for.”

“Kevin saved me from having to work with Lori Designs in Wilbraham ,who did not honor my original agreement with her and was not at all professional. He completed my instillation and worked with me to ensure that everything was done properly. He educated me in terms of the proper measurements of the window treatments and was always available with my many phone calls. My experience with Kevin was the experience I should have had with Lori Designs. I am so thankful for Kevin, as he went out of his comfort zone to help me out. Not too many businesses would do that now. He was honest and upfront with me about what would be best for the instillation and window treatments and also discussed his professional point of view about my unfortunate experience with Lori Designs. “I really like Tractor Supply, and have bought a lot of stuff there, but my main concern is there lack of inventory. Multiple times I have gone there and the thing I wanted wasn't on the shelf. Especially lawn fertilizer and cat food. I've had to order online and do store pickup because they didn't have what I needed. Staff is pretty friendly, but can be hard to find if you have a question. It's the best at what it is, because few stores carry the items TSC does anymore. I recently started raising chickens and have been going here regularly for feed and pine shavings. Luckily, those two items have always been in stock.”

“Stopped inside thinking I would check the place out for holiday ideas. .Came across some really coolCeramic lanterns in off white, gray, and black. The perfect gift for a friend who is into the Magnolia Style of decorating.They come in different sizes and are / were located by the front door. A bit pricey but worth the splurge for a holiday gift as they were so unique.Covid compliance: One door for entry and exit. A person by the door keeping track of the number of people in the store. Hand sanitizer available at the door and recommended. Masks worn by patrons & staff. Plexiglass at the checkout.”
