“Top Shelf All The Way! Dave and his family are so incredibly nice and knowledgeable about all things plants and flowers. Their hearts are in their business; it is so evident they love what they do. Now - their flowers! The BEST I have ever gotten. They are so beautiful and long lasting. I have trimmed them as needed and they just keep blooming. The first flower arrangement was so pleasing, my husband went and bought me a second for our anniversary. They last so much longer than other ones I have purchased from local plant places. I'm attaching photos. Every time I look out and see my flowers, I am happy! Is there a better recommendation than that? :) I plan to be back for my yearly flower arrangement. I will go nowhere else. “I happened to stumble upon this beautiful little shop what a hidden gem. I came in to replace a bonsai for my husband sadly he killed his by accident. I was able to find the same one but bigger and Victor was such a delight ! Answered all of my questions was super helpful and set up the bonsai so beautifully exceeded my expectations. “I recently moved nearby and was curious about this Farm's offerings. My review exclusively focusses on the food-related Farm-stand part of the business. They sell plants and flowers, but I didn't pay attention to that aspect of their operations. Cold Spring sells some of their own produce, products from other CT Farms and/or Orchards, Cold Spring branded products such as salsa, and other area products such as bread from a local bakery. I bought green cabbage, peaches, celery and salsa. Everything seemed appropriate quality for seasonal CT produce. The produce I didn't buy also looked good and represented what's in season pretty well. I will definitely go back for in season produce since I live in the area. This is an observation as opposed to a criticism. The reason I'm giving Cold Brook 4 Stars rather than 5 Stars relates to the extent of their offerings compared to another Farm Stand I frequently visit that's a bit farther away. That Farm Stand has a wide range of partnerships with high end CT businesses and they have things like high quality bagels, cheeses, pies, cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches, etc. That Farm Stand also has a wider range of canned goods, meats, and dairy products etc. I would travel farther to a Farm Stand like that because there are more products that interest me. Cold Spring will be the place I go for convenience when I want in season produce for a few days.”

“my husband and i had a BIG mishap the day before our wedding, and we needed a lot of baby’s breath at the last minute. we called a few shops closer to us and got pointed in the direction of Michelle’s Florals so we called them up. not only did they have exactly what we needed, but they stayed late to make sure we got everything and made us last minute corsages for our mothers!!! they were so kind and reassuring during our mini panic attack haha, we will absolutely be coming back to them for any future floral needs (or cute gifts!). everyone should check them out!!”

“Great little local pick up spot for heirloom and other quality seeds. The entrance is a bit difficult to find, it's just before the loading docks. They should put a little awning over the door with words like "welcome" or "showroom" or even a plaque above the door. Very cute little showroom. Definitely recommend ordering a seed catalog online. Buy local!”

“Wow, what an impressive selection of plants! McCue Gardens doesn't just have a wide variety of native plants (as well as non-natives), Cindy really knows EVERYTHING about them. She couldn't have been kinder or more helpful in helping me choose some native plants for our front yard. What could have been an overwhelming and daunting experience was instead an opportunity for me to learn from a gardener's deep knowledge. She helped me choose the right plants for our soil and space, and she advised me on how to help them thrive.I'm so grateful to Cindy for being thoughtful about our yard, our family's needs, and the time we realistically have to allot to plant care. I felt that the plant prices were fair, especially considering how healthy they were and how much I learned from Cindy. Can't say enough positive things about this place and these folks.”

“My second time coming to this tree farm and it's the absolute BEST place to get your tree in CT!!! Came here on Thursday to pick up a tree and the man was so nice! Showed me and my mom all the different types of trees, cut down a beautiful Douglas Fir fresh for us, trimmed it, wrapped it and tied it to our vehicle all free of charge! Excellent customer service and where I will be going to get my trees year after year!”

There's employees everywhere waiting to help out. All you got to do is look. They have supplies well stocked too. No problem with this here store. I like it.”

“Come here from time to time. This store is HUGE. Prices are more than Nh... but so is everything so I don't really complain. Nothing *crazy* to state.... It's Home Depot not a nightclub but the plants always seem healthy. Last time I was here there was a confrontation between the police and an Asian gentlemen. I watched for awhile and nothing spectacular came of it. Kinda would say that's the *vibe* for this store. One other time this lady who worked here was rude... I was here right at opening and went to walk in and boy she shut those doors quick. Idk why they were unlocked but I didn't unlock them and thus was a little taken again. Figured that was just a once off. For all of these reasons, 4/5 ... maybe 85/100 if this was a test. We could call it a "B"”

“Had a tremendous experience at this location, India and her co workers the customer care manager was exceptional to work with, she ensured that all my needs, cares were met before exiting the store. Their friendly nature and aim to provide solutions to problems should be a standard all customer service personnels must employ. Big Al with the beard (even though I know that's not his name) wonderfully assisted with my car rental and rightly so should be given a raise.I appreciate the staff and hope to continue working with them in the future.”
