I believe the most I spent waiting to be service, being serviced, PAYING then in the car and off I went was all of 30 minutes!I would have given them all 5 stars except for one small detail ... partly my fault so wish I could do 4.5 stars ?. I was charged double the cost for a no name brand tire. I should have asked and quickly Googled. No worries my brothers are scolding me. “If you're not going here for your tires, you're missing out on old school A+ hometown service. My sister sent me to this little gem of a shop when I had a slow leak in a fairly new tire. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They diagnosed the issue as a puncture from a screw, removed the screw, plugged the hole, topped off all tires with air and sent me on my way for 10 bucks. I tipped the competent and friendly person who helped me (It was so quick I didn't catch his name), went on my way, and have been fine since. I will never go to my dealer or big box store for tire issues again. My sister and brother-in-law also buy their tires at Currie's, now, I will too. Thanks Currie's!!”

“Can't recommend Briggs Tire highly enough!! Excellent mechanics, very low key, they fix my car problems, quickly and with no drama.Background pre-Briggs:I had had 4 new tires put on by a local chain tire store in December 2022. Nothing but trouble for a year. Tires would not hold air, warning lights constantly going on concerning low tire pressure. This was constant. I would fill them up and light would go on soon after, if it went off at all. Hot weather, cold weather, any weather. I had never had these problems previous to getting the new tires at the local chain.Briggs determined that it was a tire pressure valve problem and a few other issues.Briggs solved it all and fixed all of it for a reasonable price. Very friendly, super honest people who really want to help you and solve your car issues.Briggs also checked my car out, engine, brakes, etc. and told me that everything was good, while another place had told me I needed a few thousands dollars worth of work.Car now runs great, I can finally relax and not worry anymore about tires or anything else.Briggs gets my highest recommendation!! Very grateful that I have found them.”

“Had a great experience with Smitty’s. We were driving from New Jersey and had to be at a wedding in Boston last Friday night. Cruising along at 65 mph on the Merritt Parkway when the yellow check engine light came on and the car suddenly lost most of its power. I immediately got off at the next exit which was Norwalk Connecticut. Did a search for local service centers and Smitty’s seemed to be the closest. Without an appointment, I drove up and one of the owners had one of his mechanics come out and put the car on a scope to diagnose it. It turned out to be a misfiring cylinder. The mechanic ordered the necessary parts from a parts dealer who apparently was very close. Within one hour I was back on the road. Dropping the work that he was doing in order to help me out went above and beyond and I am truly thankful for that. I consider it one of the luckiest days in my life!”
“Honestly very happy with my experience here. I was expecting to pay much more, nearly double than what I actually paid. He didn’t even bill me for a full hour of work, when I’m sure many other shops would’ve drilled into my pockets for the same service or would’ve billed a full hour if able.Reading through the reviews on this thread, it seems as if many of the one-star reviews involve being towed. Of course if your cars towed you’re going to have a horrible experience. Shame to see this shop owner becoming the punching bag.All in all, my opinion is that he’s a skillful mechanic and trustworthy guy. Will go back again in the unfortunate event of car trouble.”

“Went there for the first time to get my emissions done and was greeted by a very helpful guy whose instructions were super clear to get you in the queue as quickly as possible. Took 20 dollars cash and got my emissions done in 20 mins and gave me back the emissions results. Would highly recommend this place for getting emissions done as well as other car repairs.”
