“Found product I was looking for, but not the size listed on website. I looked for some help, nobody around. Went to where you pay, cashier rang up the sale and said I needed to go to gray storage area; found that. Did not know I had to drive car to area. Got car, drove to area, showed receipt, wished I had a bigger vehicle... stuffed item in trunk and drove away. Item was a bale of hay to put on top of grass seed in bare areas of my yard. This was the first time going to this store. I'm sure now that I am familiar with Smithland, next time will be easier.”

“The store has a great selection of gardening products for outdoors. They are a bit pricey on some items. Lookup the product you want first than see where it's cheapest. You'll see what I mean. For indoor gardening you'll want to shy away from grow tents or lighting. Better deals online. They do have a great line of Espoma brand mixes and soils and Foxfarm products at a good price. Their plants are great quality and when on sale great prices. I have no clue about their pet department.”

“From start to finish Aqua Scapes was a pleasure to work with and they did an awesome job installing my pond. it is quite evident that Rob and his team have a passion for their work. The pond is now a focal point of the yard and guests flock to it complimenting me on how beautiful it is. I enjoy sitting in my Adirondack chair listening to the soothing sound of the waterfall and watching the birds come for a drink and the fish swimming around. It is truly a piece of natural art! “Great little local pick up spot for heirloom and other quality seeds. The entrance is a bit difficult to find, it's just before the loading docks. They should put a little awning over the door with words like "welcome" or "showroom" or even a plaque above the door. Very cute little showroom. Definitely recommend ordering a seed catalog online. Buy local!”

The bathroom is pretty much always clean (way better than most places) customer service has been quite easy. Not super happy about the returns without receipt policy, but I understand why, as so many people shoplift. Just remember to send receipt to email, or use card every time so returns can be found by card#.”

She couldn't have been kinder or more helpful in helping me choose some native plants for our front yard. What could have been an overwhelming and daunting experience was instead an opportunity for me to learn from a gardener's deep knowledge. She helped me choose the right plants for our soil and space, and she advised me on how to help them thrive.I'm so grateful to Cindy for being thoughtful about our yard, our family's needs, and the time we realistically have to allot to plant care. “The store has everything I need. I go online, find what I need, and can find out exactly where the items are kept in the store. Sometimes I order for pick up, either in the store or curbside pick up. When I want to see the items first I can click to send the location to my phone and go grab it, touch it, measure it, fit it and check it all out. I can read the reviews and the price before I go to the store. No sticker shock in the store. If it's too much I can wait or prepare how I'm going to pay before I get to the register. Home Depot makes shopping easy so I can get in and out. I can spend more time on my projects and less time shopping for my stuff!”

There's employees everywhere waiting to help out. All you got to do is look. They have supplies well stocked too. No problem with this here store. I like it.”

I watched for awhile and nothing spectacular came of it. Kinda would say that's the *vibe* for this store. One other time this lady who worked here was rude... I was here right at opening and went to walk in and boy she shut those doors quick. Idk why they were unlocked but I didn't unlock them and thus was a little taken again. Figured that was just a once off. For all of these reasons, 4/5 ... maybe 85/100 if this was a test. We could call it a "B"”

I came up Rebecca and asked if she could help me find the item, along with safety glasses. Rebecca was ultra helpful and friendly. Definitely will be back to this location.”

“Recently bought stackable washer/dryer, contractor installed and I guess pressed stacked strip which was not allowing me to open washer dispenser. After couple of visits and failed talks to associates, David Brand sales specialist helped to connect with right people. Today they fixed it. So thank you David for being so patient and prompt help. Good thing is he understood the issue and immediately took action appropriately.”

I however know that this store doesn't offer the type of service you get at a mom and pop shop, but I have a great selection of things we need. We have made many purchases for us and our rentals, and military discount is a bonus.”

“I definitely think this is best of Home Depot's in the area. We've received the best service and the products we are looking for are always in stock. We stopped in on July 4 to pick up some flowers. And not only were they happily open, they were serving up free hotdogs. And we had just painted some of our bathroom and our dog sat down square in the paint. We happened have to the dog with us and one of the associates noticed the paint all over the dog gave us a bottle of Krud Kutter to clean up the dog on the house.”

“I recently moved nearby and was curious about this Farm's offerings. My review exclusively focusses on the food-related Farm-stand part of the business. They sell plants and flowers, but I didn't pay attention to that aspect of their operations. Cold Spring sells some of their own produce, products from other CT Farms and/or Orchards, Cold Spring branded products such as salsa, and other area products such as bread from a local bakery. I bought green cabbage, peaches, celery and salsa. Everything seemed appropriate quality for seasonal CT produce. The produce I didn't buy also looked good and represented what's in season pretty well. I will definitely go back for in season produce since I live in the area. This is an observation as opposed to a criticism. The reason I'm giving Cold Brook 4 Stars rather than 5 Stars relates to the extent of their offerings compared to another Farm Stand I frequently visit that's a bit farther away. That Farm Stand has a wide range of partnerships with high end CT businesses and they have things like high quality bagels, cheeses, pies, cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches, etc. That Farm Stand also has a wider range of canned goods, meats, and dairy products etc. I would travel farther to a Farm Stand like that because there are more products that interest me. Cold Spring will be the place I go for convenience when I want in season produce for a few days.”
