“I read about Heck's on social media- and have gone four times! The best and most interesting thrift store I have really ever seen! I always get tons of treasures for dirt cheap. I am going today before my 11:30 am shift starts. Yea! The atmosphere is relaxed chic shabby just like me! Don't change a thing but maybe add Thurs hours if possible.”

I think I’d have purchased my clearance chair regardless, however I think the signs should say except clearance. I was kinda surprised that no one knew if furniture was scotch guarded. “Pompanoosuc Mills is magnificent! When my wife and I were renovating our dining room, we searched at length for a company that employed American carpenters and cabinetmakers, used sustainably harvested wood supplied by American lumber companies, and sold furniture directly to their customers at competitive prices. Pompanoosuc met these criteria. We visited its store in West Hartford, Connecticut and asked for guidance in selecting several pieces of furniture, including a table, chairs, sideboard, and console. Kristen, the saleswoman, devoted hours to our exploration and related inquiries. She was very knowledgeable. Equally important, she was patient. Our interactions with her were always pleasant; we would not have realized the objectives of our renovation without her thoughtful guidance. After we submitted our order, Kristen and the store’s manager, Rebekah, were conscientious in keeping us informed throughout the manufacturing process. On delivery day, my wife and I were impressed by Ian and Nate as they carried the furniture from their large Pompanoosuc truck the length of our driveway to our house. They arrived with hearty handshakes, took off their shoes to avoid damaging the floors, and positioned the furniture exactly as we requested. And every piece of furniture was perfect!All aspects of our experience as customers of Pompanoosuc Mills were spectacular. The company would be a worthy subject at business schools analyzing the culture of excellence - - trustworthiness, customer-focused service, and passionate workforce. Dwight Sargent, who founded Pompanoosuc Mills approximately 50 years ago, remains involved in the business. “We were so impressed with our overall experience with updating our Living Room and Bonus Rooms at Bassett Furniture! We met our designer, Connor, who listened to what we wanted. He then made an appointment to visit our home and mixed our ideas with his design expertise and created exactly what we wanted! Not only did Conner demonstrate a keen talent for design, he presented with respect and a pleasant sense of humor every step of the way! To top it all off, the day our furniture was delivered he came to our house alongside the movers and helped arrange our furniture just how we wanted it! We felt our furniture made such an upgrade to our home we decided to replace our window treatments to make the look complete. We are so happy we walked into Bassett Furniture and now have two rooms filled with good quality furniture we enjoy every day!

JOANN Fabrics was no exception, because it seemed that one third of the store was dedicated to Halloween markdowns and big sales displays for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's a very neat and well organized store. You'll have lots of fun walking around as you take in their aisle after aisle of household goods, craft supplies of every description and genre, toys and games, costume jewelry, clothing, and of course piece good fabrics by the hundreds. We ended up buying some discounted cranberry-like decorations for a Thanksgiving tabletop display my wife is creating. Definitely worth your while to stop by.”
“I have purchased all my furniture from Bobs in Southington for many years now. I recently bought a recliner chair with massage and heat features for a great savings from Bob's Clearance Dept. The reason it was on clearance was the remote was missing. The salesman claimed he had no idea of the cost of the remote but did use a showroom remote to test the chair. He provided information on how to purchase a replacement. Then he adds I need to purchase a universal power pack as well. I got a fabulous deal on the exact chair I wanted. However... I would have appreciated full transparency from the salesman before I set my choice on buying this particular piece of furniture. In these times money matters more than ever. The salesman should have made me aware of all factors involving costs related to my purchase as I made him aware of my choice not when it was time for payment. Nevertheless, a great deal was the goal. I will still make Bob's my first choice when shopping for furniture.”

Management says they’re doing something about it but every time I stop by they’re always there. Only reason I dropped the star.”

“I'll be very honest with my review. I began shopping at Crate and Barrel after seeing them on social media and deciding to check it out. First, they have the sophisticated rustic style that I love, but I struggle to choose the right pieces for my home. We have a beautiful house that could use some updating with the right pieces, but I never had any help with as customer at Pottery Barn for the past 5 years. Also, I never felt welcomed there, except by two of their employees.
In contrast, at Crate and Barrel, I feel welcomed, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. This prompted me to replace some furniture and pieces in my house. I had a meeting with a wonderful designer from Crate and Barrel at my home to update some rooms. Darla who came to my house to check it, is not just an amazing Crate and Barrel designer; but she's a wonderful person who suggested the perfect choices for us. Without a doubt, my future shopping will be at Crate and Barrel. Not only because their pieces are gorgeous and high-quality, but they exceeded my expectations in every way. I couldn't be more satisfied and happy.
