I was wanting to close a CU account and after calling my CU and not being able to do it I was directed to go to a shared branch location - Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement FCU. I arrived with all my paperwork and was so lucky to have Deb, Mindy and Stephanie help me. It took a lot of work and effort and they jumped in and made it happen with smiles, kindness and expertise. I could not have been happier! If I would have qualified I would have joined. I cannot imagine a better group of people to represent the credit union philosophy of people helping people. “This Credit Union is awesome. The staff is always very friendly. I can do everything online with their website that high end banks do, and they don't charge fees like large banks do. They have mobile banking and like 30,000 free ATMs. You can't find that with a bank. I have been doing all of my banking with them for over 25 years. (checking, loans, credit cards, you name it - their loan rates and credit card rates are the lowest) I even do most of my banking by email!! How many can say that with a bank?”

Heath McKenny was the person who not only did research to see who this company was and emailed me the information so that I could contact them and have the money returned to my account. “I have been a member at DFDFCU for 40 years. I have been in Vietnam for one year now and still can’t access my online account. I can use the queue phone by calling in but I can only get balances, not individual labeled transactions. Generally I have had great service for 40 years from the credit union. But when I explained to the rep that it doesn’t work to send me a code number that I have to phone in from Vietnam she said no problem. Yet it was a huge problem. We tried many solutions and settled on letting my brother become a member and list him on my account. After having him turn in all the paperwork and jump through all the hoops I was informed by the same rep he can’t be a member. So I asked that I can send a code to access my account by email like most other banks do. The answer is that this is impossible. So for one year I haven’t been able to see my account transactions. I have tried a few times to rectify the situation but no one at DFDFCU seems inclined to assist me. I really hate to discontinue a 40 year relationship with a good company for something as easy to fix as this but I believe that is my likely course of action.”

“EDITING 1ST REVIEW:I would love to send my deepest thank you to Donna at a totally different branch for reaching out to me and being so kind and helping me get my correct 10 digit checking account number so I will not be having the same issues as previously. I will just have to see what I can do with my creditors on how to repair my 90 day late status.my payments to creditors being returned due to funds being taken out of saving instead of checking account making me 90 days delinquent. Walking in to the Garrison branch and asking for my Checking account number I have always been told that my account number 7 numbers i was never aware that i had to put a sufix or 10 digit number to have funds withdrawn from the correct account assuming that my Checking account would be the account used to withdrawl funds. I spoke to Leo in the call services department a few weeks ago when I had another payment overdraft my savings account just to be rudely told that I had to have a 10 digit account number or that the credit union could withdraw money from what ever account they wanted since I didn't have a specific account noted. I was also told that I needed to go on line and down load the bank application since I only had cards account down loaded and I was not aware that there were multiple online applications for credit union of Colorado that I had to use. I have 90 day late payments on my credit report due to my payments being returned onto of having to pay creditors returned payment fees along with paying credit union of colorado over draft fees”

We had so much stuff to do. Multiple checks, new accounts, split accounts deposits, notary public, insurance check cashing, the works. They just sat with us (no wait) and plugged away. He even caught me leaving to remember the temp checks I needed. Great customer service.”
