“I was on a search for a new vet and had tried several good ones, but I really landed here for several reasons:- We have a diverse group of pets including 'exotic' pets, and knowing we can take them all here makes it easier to get settled.- Care and attention to each pet. I don't think there is a pet who comes in who doesn't get told they are the best, and fully looked over. Our cat hates the vet and usually avoids me for at least a day after taking him in - he was (almost) relaxed in the vet and had almost no recovery time after coming in here. It's a bit less chaotic than most vets, and I think that's a huge part of it. The inspection room was secure enough that I felt comfortable letting him explore and get comfortable - not something I can do at all vets.- They are knowledgeable but also treat you as if you're knowledgeable. I was handed actual research papers when I asked questions and I loved that.- They seem to care and make connections. My husband and I came in separately with different pets and they immediately made connections between the two of us.I highly recommend this vet and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with them.”

“We cannot say enough amazing things about this teaching hospital!!!! So grateful this place exists in Colorado. Our rescue pittie was dx with soft tissue sarcoma at the end of December 2023 and this hospital got us in so quickly to have a consult and discuss next steps. The communication and instructions for our appointment and with the hospital before the day of our appt were exceptional! They get all the information beforehand so that upon your arrival it is smooth sailing. They are quick to respond to emails and very empathetic to your situation. On appt day- we had a 3.5 hour drive to the hospital and arrived almost an hour early. However, we did not have to wait long- they took us back quickly. The entry into the hospital is very organized with signs as to who to register with depending on why you were there with your pup. I also appreciate that they allow you to bring other pups you may have in your family, other than the patient pup. This helped as we have a 1-year-old pup that we were going to have to take turns sitting in the car with- if we could not bring him in. The waiting area was super cute with a staff person present and lots of seating for human and animal family members- they allow your pup to sit on the couch with you. They take care to space the animals so that there are not tensions or stress for them. The staff continually ask if your pet is okay with other animals so that they can ensure everyone is safe. We were put into a room in order to meet with consult team. Frankie Marie's name was on the whiteboard outside the room which, again, made us feel very comfortable....especially since it was a hard visit with her just being dx with cancer. The staff- Hannah- a 4th year student- and Dr. Quinn- head of the program- along with Dr. Oh (spelling)- head of radiology, were all so unbelievably wonderful, patient, kind, interactive, knowledgeable, and never tried to rush us or cut us off with the questions we had. They were EXTREMELY thorough with their explanations and options available to us. They used the whiteboard in the room to explain the type of cancer and how it can spread. They were open with pricing. They gave their professional opinion about the next best steps. We felt so grateful for the appt, the consult, and the decision for next steps. Dr. Quinn and the team even gave us time in the room to call our vet to see what steps our vet can do so we don't have to drive 7 hours round trip to the hospital for tx. They made it clear we can come back here anytime for further treatment. It was such a great experience, especially considering how emotional the situation is. Some tips to improve the situation, which I don't know if this is in the construction plans already for the Teaching Hospital (as it is actively under construction): *A dog park or fenced in dog run on the campus *A sidewalk that goes all the way around the building or parking area so that you can walk your dog to work off energy before and after going into the appt- especially because many people may have a long drive since this is the only facility of its kind in the state (right now it is just walking on the road as we came in January where the grass was very much snow-covered- and our rescue pittie is terrified of the road and cars so this was difficult). *A designated poop area with poop bags or even pooper scoopers and a garbage bin And inside the building *Cheerful paintings or murals on the hospital walls of pups, cats, animals”
