7515 CA-2, West Hollywood“I miss being able to shop here the quality is so fantastic and everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. When I fly home we stop by and grab something to cook up. I wish we had this in North Carolina.”
“Small unassuming store with an alpine store front. Cozy little store with goodies from Europe and specifically Germany. Outstanding sandwiches, sausages and breads. We were just about the only ones in the store on a Saturday. The woman making the sandwiches was beyond nice and even gave us samples of a just made meatloaf. The German potato salad has to be experienced. Wonderful depth of flavor. The store appears to have street parking only. We will be back for sure.”

9109 W Olympic Blvd, Beverly Hills“This is probably my best find yet!! If you love biltong and droewors or are craving something south african, this is your place!! Dis blerrie lekker!! No seriously so happy my husband found this spot and will be returning!! They have Mrs Balls Chutney, Nandos sauces, chocolates like flake and aero, Five Roses and Rooibos tea, you name it!!”
“Oh i love this place. The quality of all their products is blatant as soon as you walk in. The service is friendly and I loved the variety they carry. Dont be intimidated or reserved, everyone speaks english. (It'll make sense when you walk in.) My wallet is in trouble since its on my way home!”
“Came Sunday morning. Amazingly friendly staff. Menudo Grilled chicken Pork Ribs - got half and half but liked the BBQ style better. Complimentary salsa was tasty with a nice kick but now a lot. Packaged Habanera salsa”
“I was in the area and decided to stop at A Cut Above. It was rainy weather, and I walked in eager for a warm sandwich. Having previously heard about a few of their hot sandwich options, I decided to try the Italian beef side au jus. I was the only one inside and had to wait just a few minutes before my order was ready. In the meantime I took a look at all their cuts of meat they have to offer as well as the breads, snacks like jerky, and other items they have for sale. Everyone working there was super friendly, upbeat and eager to contribute to the workplace. When my sandwich was ready, I took the bag and noticed how warm it was, and without thinking twice about it, I sat down to enjoy my sandwich inside the shop. The au jus was warm and flavorful and acted as a wonderful dip for the sandwich. The sandwich itself was expertly prepared, loaded with beef, a tasty giardiniera, and some of the softest bread you’ll find. I’d like to say that I took my time with this sandwich, but given it was also warming me up from the inside out, it didn’t last longer than a few minutes. It was a great choice for a cold day, and I look forward to returning very soon to try a cut of beef.”
“Good quality, wait, excellent quality meat. Top cuts. I tried both the ground meat and steaks. Pricy, but with it. Each steak was about $30, but it was an amazing meat. I'm not sure my seasoninh is what made it so good. I think it was a good base, aka meat.”
“I have been doing business with this meat market for years. The meat is very fresh. They are always polite and prompt when taking orders. The store is always fresh and clean, no foul orders like some other meat markets. My only complaint is the price of the meat. But I guess all food everywhere is becoming overpriced now. Otherwise this is a great meat market.”
“Absolutely love this place! I've always had a pleasant experience but especially this time it was over the top. I walked in and was greeted by the two ladies working and a man. They were all very helpful trying to get me the right meat. I had to get their aria chicken of course because that is a must at their meat market. The chicken can be used in so many different ways. You can bbq, bake it and then use leftover for a bowl or a burrito. So many options. They also have delicious dips, drinks and bread you can buy and coal for the bbq. They also opened up a new(ish) spot on alameda and Glenoaks where they sell the cooked stuff not the raw meat. The place smelled so delicious when I walked in but it's good to know they don't have the raw meat at the other location. It's always a go to. Highly recommend.”
“they have raw bones for dogs that love to chew, my canine likes to demand beef bone for the fatty marrow. ask the butcher to cut the large bones into smaller pieces for more sessions for aggressive chewing doggos. they also have a pack of frozen raw combined, plan to get and the puppy is older”
“Great quality meats with one of the friendliest lady behind the counter! Store itself is small, but has enough variety and cuts to satisfy most kbbq cravings. They also sell rice paper, radish wrap slices, lettuce, perilla leaves, ssam sauce, sambal sauce, and chadol (aka brisket) sauce. You can also call ahead to place an order, and their hours are 10-7pm per the photo lol”

11740 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood“This market has the best spinach empanadas in the SFV.I also get my fav Argentinean empanada dough, Yerba mate and they have the best home made alfajores de maizena , if you don't know what that is, ask them.Lately they've been running low on stock but they are so far the best lil shop in North Hollywood. One time , during the scandemic, I left my cellphone and I was going to lose my job, the owner actually drove to the shop from her home with her kiddos to bring my phone back to me. I was undone.”
7AM - 8PM
7900 Compton Ave, Los Angeles“Being able to come and grab a couple of taquitos in that green sauce is the only reason I was happy to miss my San Bernardino bound train. Always happy to get my Cielito Lindo fix, on a sunny afternoon with an horchata, watching the families enjoying Olvera Street and the music. It is literally el cielito lindo.”
“Me and my bf were in Huntington Park to try supposedly the best chilaquiles per TikTok. I was planning to go to another carniceria in Montebello to pick up some asada for the 4th but thought hey might as well look for something in this city. I gave my bf two choices and he ended up picking this spot.I'm always on the hunt for good, tender, well seasoned (but not salty) and lean carne asada. It's hard finding a spot, I hate tough meat. We took a chance here and let me tell you their asada is hella tender! Even my bf who is picky af with his asada ate 6 pieces in one sitting. Their asada is perfectly seasoned, pull apart tender, lean and super juicy. At $17.99 def a steal of a deal for good cuts of meat.Come out and support this local mom and pop shop!”

“I can't stress how.much I love the store. The man at the meat section always greets me with a Holla, and a smile. He recognizes how much I love the ingredient that is used to prepare the meat , that I'm a regular now. This is my to go spot when I BBQ with Family , or friends:.”
“McCall’s is my happy place. I’m like a kid walking into a candy store. Every product they have on their shelves is carefully curated to meet your delicious kitchens dreams. From imported goods to locally sourced farms, they have just about everything. Their produce has me skipping any grocery stores. Their meat & seafood is of fantastic quality and a wide range of choices. You will taste the difference and once you do, you will find yourself hooked. The staff is the most helpful and kind staff you could imagine. Highly recommend making a stop here if you want your kitchen smelling delicious and stomach feeling satisfied.”
10AM - 6PM
4525 Alger St, Los Angeles“If you are looking for old world bacon, look no further! I called all around the Pasadena area and beyond. This was the only place I found that had bacon with the rind on, which I needed to make beef bourguignon (Julia Child's recipe). It turned out perfect and this bacon was dee-li-cious! We met one of the owners (she is the nicest!!), and she gave us great recommendations. We snagged some of the frozen beef dumplings which we are eating tonight -- they're slightly spicy and super delicious (definitely buy these). Also tried the thinly sliced wagyu beef which we finished in one day it was so tasty. Overall great place to go. I highly recommend!”

“We have stumbled upon this place by accident and have made our go 2 place for all our lunch and catering orders. Their fruit and vegetable section also compliments nicely to their amazing kitchen.”
“I visit from the New York area and this is by far THE BEST butcher shop anywhere! Unbelievable selection of fine meats and specialties. Helpful professional staff and by far the best beef jerky you can get. Wish I lived here so I could go here for my meats but it is a MUST DO every time I visit the area.”
7AM - 8PM
4817 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles“This store has always saved my ass for any last minute kosher needs. Yes I needed to buy already made matzo balls for a special dinner (not as easy as you think they are to make!) They sell them. Last time I needed corned beef and they sold it with the packet of spices (yay) for my instapot. Grape juice of course! They have everything and I need to remember that next time for shabbat candles and random stuff.”
9:30AM - 6:30PM
321 E Alameda Ave, Burbank“Joseph was extremely helpful and kind when we came in about wagyu steak. A few days later we placed quite a large order for the holidays. The market is very clean unlike a different place we checked. Highly recommend!!!”
8AM - 8PM
9201 Long Beach Blvd Ste A, South Gate“The asada (ranchera/sirloin) is the best! It's tender n marinated perfectly. The chicken thigh for grilling is also delicious. They will grill your order too, if you are pressed for time. Highly recommend.”
“It is located by downtown SA and easy to get in and out fast. The prices on meat are fabulous, and we felt that it was even a better deal than Costco. Meat grills up yummy, will be back to purchase again.”
“I grew up surrounded by dairy’s and farms so I know amazing old fashioned jerky. I scour the states for the best of the best because I cannot stand all of the additives. The Old Fashioned Beef Jerky package was worth the price and my only complaint was THE SALT! Way too much. The bag had a 1/2 inch pile of sea salt at the bottom of the bag and sure enough, I had to brush off each piece. Once that was done, it was perfect!”
“A grocery shop, packed with verities of groceries, fresh produce, candies and other products many of them are imported. Very clean and good customer service, reasonable price. Store front parking.”
“The best food market in the neighborhood! I always driving up there from Studio city to buy fresh meat, fish and deli! Nice and welcome team and very lovely owner of this market Susana!!!Thank you so much!!!”
