Country Hills Feed
151 Casserly Rd, WatsonvilleJeanette is amazing. She stayed a little late so we can make it there in time to pick up some chicks we drove awhile to get. It's so refreshing to talk with someone that seems passionate about their business and has time to talk and answer questions. Her shop looked very clean and well taken care of. I wish we lived closer! High recommended this place!!

Pet Care
Schwarzmann Thomas DVM
188 Las Colinas Dr, WatsonvilleI cannot recommend ‘Dr. Tom’ enough. He made time for us in what I imagine must be a very busy schedule, seeing our sweet 16 yo doodle right away in an urgent situation. He’s kind, compassionate, experienced and caring- I honestly don’t think they come any better. I don’t know why I would want any other vet now although up until now our dog was able to get in the car to see a vet. I’m so grateful for him - what a gift to our community!! Thank you, Dr Tom

PetVet Wellness Center
580 Auto Center Dr, WatsonvilleDr. Leyda is an outstanding veterinarian. Although this is not a full service vet, the service here is awesome, and the prices are so reasonable. The staff is very friendly, and responsive, and Dr. Leyda is extremely caring and knowledgeable. I have been here many times with multiple dogs for the senior full wellness package, and the doctor and staff are stellar. They always go above and beyond! There are no appointments, and patients are seen on a first come, first serve basis, but they are so good that I have used their services countless times. Nothing but praise for Dr. Leyda and her staff. (This is the PetVet in Watsonville, CA at the Tractor Supply Company.)

The Fish Vet Store
440 Airport Blvd, WatsonvilleDr. Sanders diagnosed a really difficult problem with both my tanks, and it was actually pretty affordable to have her come out. She found a rare internal parasite and prescribed meds to clear it. Emailed me a full report before she left. Would totally recommend.

Mt Madonna Veterinary Clinic
WatsonvilleI never expected to have a traditional Chinese Medicinal vet, but the McKays are neighbors who are highly recommended. They have been our dog' s vet for 3 years now, and they are fantastic! They are very thorough and systematic in their approach to medicine, and carefully explain benefits and drawbacks of holistic AND more conventional approaches. My dog has had recurrent UTIs and is now on a Chinese herb that has kept her from needing antibiotics for a year or so. In the meantime, they have given preventative medicine on a case by case basis, weighing the need before over prescribing heartworm and flea and tick meds. Gwen and George are consummate professionals who are kind, honest, and masterful in their work. Plus you will probably get a few bad puns if George can help it!

Bingo Dog Training
854 San Miguel Canyon Rd, WatsonvilleCynthia is a competent and amazing dog trainer; thoughtful, knowledgable with an important quality for me; she is light-hearted but purposeful with her training techniques. Tara, our Standard Poodle pup was about 4 months old when we took her to boarding school. We took her again at 6 months to help all of us settle into consistent training. My husband and I are 'vintage' dog owners. Tara is our third Standard pup and we were very clear this time around that we needed expert help with this puppy, who has a VERY big spark, as Cynthia told us:)We highly recommend Bingo Dog Training. You and your dog will benefit in more ways that I can share in this testimonial.Woof! Peg, Matt & Tara (now, 8 mo. old.)

Monterey Bay Dog Training - Watsonville Training Classes
2601 E Lake Ave, WatsonvilleI have been training my dog here with several different trainers (Luanne, Pam, Dorothy, Susan) since she was a puppy, almost 8 years ago. We have progressed through several different level of classes in obedience and agility and she is such a happy dog. I constantly get compliments on how well behaved my dog is. I also go back about 20 years to another dog who was very shy and fearful. We completed Beginning Obedience, and, even though he wasn't naturally talented, I had him almost 15 years and he never forgot heeling on leash or recall -- the two most important things your dog can do, in my opinion.

Santa Cruz Cider Company
65 Hangar Way, WatsonvilleThis is my favorite place to be on a weekend afternoon! The owners are absolutely the best! The rest of the staff is outstanding. When anyone comes to visit this is the place to take them to. They are family and pet friendly. They bring in different food vendors that are also fantastic! The cider is great! Get a flight if it's your first time. My personal favorites are Don't make me Blush or a cider pop on a warm day. During the winter they have hot cider too!

La Marea Of The Sea
2904 Freedom Blvd, WatsonvilleThe waiter and service were great. Micheocan (sp) cuisine I think. The salsa and chips were great as well. Husband had chile relleno which was also good. I had chicken mole; it wasn't great nor was it bad. I have heard their tacos are great. Will try next time. Again, family owned restaurant, very nice waiter and greeter. Nice place.

Alfaro Family Vineyard-Winery
420 Hames Rd, WatsonvilleAlfaro is a gorgeous family owned winery, and the team there makes you feel right at home. The estate is nestled into the Santa Cruz hills, and the views are spectacular, especially on a sunny day. This was my second time at Alfaro, and I will certainly be back. The wines are delicious, and tastings reasonably priced. Both times we left with a few bottles, because the wines are just too good not to.

The Fish House Bar & Grill
972 Main St, WatsonvilleSeafood restaurant in Watsonville open relatively late with great serviceRaw oysters ⭐️⭐️: personally not a big fan of the huge oysters because the fishy taste is extra strong. Also these oysters had a lot of grit in them.Clam chowder ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: pretty solid clam chowder. Had a good clam taste while being rich but not too heavy.Clam pasta ⭐️⭐️⭐️: felt like even though there were a lot of clams in the pasta the flavor didn't really come out. Pasta texture was good.Mango mousse cake ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: the best thing here and one of the better mango mousses I've had. Surprised at how good it was considering this is a seafood restaurant.

Coffeeville
948 E Lake Ave, WatsonvilleThis is probably my favorite coffee in Watsonville hands down! The coffee is really rich, and I really appreciate that. I guess if you prefer more watered down coffee than any other location in Watsonville would be fine. This environment is comfortable and cozy unlike another pretentious coffee shop in town. The staff are always really friendly, and it does get busy during rush hours. I really enjoy the breakfast options specifically because I like egggs a lot. I would categorize this coffee spot as a good pit stop on a roadtrip or you need to run errands and need energy coffee shop. Highly recommend.

Ella's At The Airport - Watsonville
100 Aviation Way, WatsonvilleCame here on the recommendation of our neighbors since they work nearby and we were in the area. I liked their sandwiche- Cali BLT. Also liked the pepper jelly, have never tried that before. LOVED the chips! Service was great! Our server was cheerful and can be pleasantly chatty (not with us but that's ok; I wasn't in a chatty mood). This place gives me some kind of a 70s feel with Bee Gees playing as I type this.
