Gone are the days of courtesy and service. It was eye opening to get poor service and help even at Nordstrom that used to be high quality of product and service. Feels more like Macy's. Salespeople here used to be courteous, helpful.

I was in desperate need of a suit jacket and Francisco came to the rescue today. He's such a pro and he gave great feedback. It's such a pleasure to work someone who cares about what they're doing. I hereby award him Employee of the month! Please hang a framed photo of him in the fitting room and present him with a gift card. Thank you.

The second floor is my favorite place to be. There are pickup, and returns, and I love individualist section. The sales associate in the individualist section and across from them has really been a big help these last few weeks.

Malik in Men's Furnishings helped my husband and I today. My husband was looking for a new wallet. Malik was absolutely perfect when it comes to customer service. He gets an A+! He opened the locked case and had knowledge about every single wallet. My husband had some specific needs and Malik was determined to find the perfect wallet. He listened to what my husband wanted and went to the stock room 3 different times and found the perfect one. Malik really impressed us both. He was kind, attentive, professional and gave us 100% of his attention. What a stand out guy! Please recognize him as a service All Star. He is an asset to Nordstrom Walnut Creek.

While I love Nordstrom, I was a bit taken aback by my experience yesterday. We have been coming here for years, with no big complaints. People are generally kind and helpful. Yesterday we went to go look at some double strollers in the kids department. The man helping us said some things to me/my husband that were concerning to say the least. When we picked my son up-who is 6 months old-he commented saying he had a flat head and a bald spot. My son has been to many doctors appointments and no one has ever said he has a flat head. His head is beautifully round. But even if his head was flat why was this sales associate commenting on it?!! Rude af. My son is 6 months and it's recommended he sleep on his back as the safest form of sleep. The guy also said, oh you are spending too much time in a car seat. Like again, excuse me?! Then my toddler, my two year old, wanted some probiotic and started crying for it. I gave it to her but sternly told her no more. She said okay. The same sales associate then reprimanded my daughter and told her to say thank you and to be grateful for the things she gets....ok may daughter is 2. I know she's grateful. We spend hours at night where she tells me she loves me. But tell me why this guy is trying to judge me, judge my parenting, and then parenting my children?! Please sir, let me parent and do your job of telling me about the strollers. Smh. Def didn't get anything from him because his comments were not friendly or kind. Be careful out there moms. Living in this world is already hard, we don't need people telling us unhelpful and rude things about our babies!! And I have to add, my babies are well behaved and not rude at all. My daughter is TWO. I don't expect perfection. SMH. Shop at your own risk here in the kids department

Visit: 1/5/2024 7pm Children's shoe department White, male associate My family (husband and 2 kids) and I went to Broadway Plaza to get some new year gear for ourselves and mostly our daughters. After shopping at other stores we popped into Nordstrom to buy my 8 year old daughter new shoes for school. She had been so excited all day to get new shoes. We told her she could pick any color or type of shoe she wanted. We get in, have to use the elevator because I have a stroller (which I bought from Nordstrom for nearly 1k earlier this year). Upon arriving to level 3 my daughter is delighted to see all the shoes. She decides on a pair of black converse and a sales associate comes over and asks if he can help. We say yes thank you! I mention I wasn't sure of her current size and he says "I can measure her". She sits down, I am pushing the stroller, my husband is nearby.. when the guy says "let's get you out of those knock off Vans!" to my 8 year old daughter. I was horrified and was thinking did he really just say that?! It all progressed quickly since he was measuring her feet but in that moment I knew I would not be buying a single item from him. As soon as he went to the back to grab the shoes my husband came up from behind me and whispered "did you hear what he said?" I did. We promptly left. For the record my 8 year daughter's shoes were metallic purple slip on shoes from the Cat & Jack brand at Target. A perfect shoe for an 8 year old girl. It wasn't until we got to the car that my 8 year old asked us why he called her shoes knock offs and what was wrong with them. She was so upset and that only made me angrier. I don't care what you think, or who you think you are or what you personally think about brands, you don't insult 8 year old girls buying shoes with her family before school starts. What is this guy doing working in the kids department?! Edit to add: this ruined our shopping experience. We had also wanted to go downstairs and buy a new pair of bonobos pants for my husband, new perfume and exchange new sunglasses for me, as well as new shoes for me. But we simply left. I'm still in disbelief and curious if anything like this has happened to anyone else at this store?

This store was neatly organized and had tons of employees walking around. However, we were hardly approached to see if we needed any assistance. I could have used help in the shoe department. For that reason, we just decided to browse online and have it shipped home!

I will start by saying that this is my first time physically visiting a Nordstrom's since Covid. On December 24th I made my way to the store to pick up an order I placed online. I made my way to the pickup line and was helped promptly. The associates were joyful and helpful as I picked up my items. I had no intentions on doing more shopping however, I made my way downstairs to look at handbags. As I reached the first floor I was greeted by the cosmetics department. I noticed the La Prairie counter and made my way to it as I was curious to see if a product that was discontinued last year was back in stock. Here is where I met Anita! She was super helpful and showed me different products that replaced the item I was looking for. I had a lovely time with her as I discovered new products I hadn't yet tried. After my purchase from Anita I went to handbags. Here I was helped by another wonderful associate who helped me find a handbag I had to take home. Since then I have placed two more orders with Anita from La Prairie. She is wonderful and an asset to the company!

It's a sad day when I feel the need to write a negative review about a company I hold in such high regard as Nordstrom. But when I walk through the store, with $400 of merchandise in my hands and not a single employee ask, "can I help you" " can I help you find something" or "hello" then there's something really wrong. I came in @ 8:30, on 12/22, 1/2 hour before the store closes. The store wasn't very busy, for being so close to Christmas. I walked all 3-floors and not one sales person acknowledged me, greeted me, or even attempted to help. Very, very, surprising, and not what I have come to expect from Nordstrom.

Quality/Quantity - I see my pictures from last year on Yelp, but no review??? Looks like we come here annually to get my daughter new dresses for the holiday and New Year's parties. I know last year we bought from here, but she did not like the options today, so we ended up buying 4 dresses from Macy's instead. Full Belly (cake jars) promotion today, see picture. Last year had a different promotion, see pictures. Atmosphere - Open 7 days a week from 10am to 8pm, and on Sundays from 11am to 6pm. Good size location. Service - N/A. My daughter did ask the salesperson where the evening dresses were for "younger" people. Sadly she did not understand my daughter, so we went to Macy's. Price - N/A. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1901, which started out as a shoe store! 1963 - Added apparel when they acquired Best Apparel of Seattle. 1971 - Company went public. 1973 - Nordstrom Rack launched.

Horrible customer experience and service. I'm surprised I actually went back to shop here. The level of service you receive is based on your race. That has been my experience. I was hopeful things would change but it hasn't. People in the departments go out their way to help other people who are not even buying just browsing and I'm spending money but still no help. My colleagues and I will spend our time and money elsewhere.

Terrible order pick up. No order I've placed has ever been ready as promised. The "fulfillment" team here is horrible. I literally find the items myself and take them up to order pickup.

Little shopping getting ready for the holidays found a lot of sexy heels that looked so amazing but we're extremely expensive. One of the things I do like about Nordstrom's is how friendly and available the associates are always willing to be free to help you with any of your needs. More stores should have that customer service the Nordstrom offers. Only if they had some holiday sales that would of been nice :)

So much love goes to Nordstrom, as this place is pretty much the top retail therapy destination for loyal Nordy customers in the immediate area, as they've been holding the fort down (since the full-line at Pleasanton's Stoneridge Mall closed in 2020) for being the one & only full-line store in the entire East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area! I rarely see myself at this full-line location (l must admit that I'm more of a regular at the full-line location at Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo), since the Rack locations are much more convenient & easier to get to around the East Bay - however, I'd find myself here at times, when I am looking for something in-particular in the mens department (apparel & shoes), as well if I need something gift-wrapped for a special occasion. This department store is one of the two main anchors of Broadway Plaza - and a lot has happened, in terms of renovating & revamping the entire campus! I always enjoy shopping at Nordstrom, and this location is pretty much on-par with the rest of the full-line stores that I've frequented & visited. Sure enough, you get some associates that may be having a bad day, but don't let that deter you from stepping foot in this store. The majority of times, I find myself not needing assistance, as I make my way to browse & window-shop - although, I pay attention more during their Anniversary Sale, Half-Yearly Sale, as well as during the Holiday Season! As I'm specifically speaking for the mens departments, they are always neatly displayed, and I always enjoy browsing through their sale racks, as bargain hunting seems therapeutic for me LOL! They seem to have a great variety of deals, and you really just have to 'look' for that great deal! Highly recommended for those in need of a Nordies run, and/or if you're just curious to what's Nordstrom about! Bonus perks is that if you're part of The Nordy Club (you earn $1 per $1 purchase BUT if you have a Nordstrom Card, then you earn more! LOL), you get points added & earn Nordstrom Notes! Don't say I didn't warn you - as those come in real handy once you rack up!!
