“We stayed at the Waypoint while visiting family in town over the holidays. We loved this place, highly recommend. They provide smores kits free of charge!! The staff is pleasant and helpful. My family loved staying here and we will definitely be back. Everything was comfortable and we would stay here again. Most of the patrons were friendly, we did have one grumpy fellow camper who pounded on our door to complain of us "speeding"..... off site of the Waypoint. This individual also had their kids dressed in all black playing outside at night, in an alleyway with no lights and no helmets, etc, but that's irrelevant to this review, I digress. We stayed in por que parquet and it was adorable and comfortable. Don't be afraid of the outside shower, it's fully enclosed as an addition to your RV and quite comfortable and warm, even at night. I would try another camper next time, though. We liked the safety of the gated entrance. It's a short walk to the beach over the pedestrian traffic only bridge.”

“My boyfriend and I stayed here and overall, we ha d a very nice time. The staff was very nice, the early check in time (3) and the late check out (12) was a pro, for sure. Continental breakfast which was simple but good and free parking! Beautiful view and pool, though it was cold so we did not use it. No hot tub though :/. Some reviews said it was loud because of the freeway, but I could only hear the waves! I would come back, but probably for a weekday rate instead of the pricey weekend rate.”

“I like to walk to the short walk to the beach the food around here and it's just relaxed place to beSafety: Is it safe area and then keep yourself then you're safe all the time just watch watch your back and all that that's all you have to do but it's a good area”

“I always enjoy staying at this Motel 6! The front desk staff are very friendly, and you can't beat the proximity to both downtown Ventura and the beach -- both are footsteps away! (Great food is within walking distance, too -- Corrales Mexican Food, Spencer Makenzie's Fish Company, and Urbane Cafe are fantastic!) The rooms are spacious and clean. The motel is not too far from the train tracks, though, so if you're a very light sleeper I'd suggest packing some earplugs or noise cancelling headphones. :)”

“I come here at least 8 times a year. The location is hard to beat. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs has the best breakfast. My kids and I love it. The pool is nice. Coffee, they serve in the area near the elevators is great. We love it here!”

“This is a great no frills type of place where you get a lot for a very fair price. Each room is like a studio apartment that offers full size kitchen, that is fully stocked. Kitchen wares such as a coffee pot, toaster oven, full size fridge/freezer, oven, stove, microwave, airfryer and all the cooking and eat utensils that you need to make a nice dinner. Which for me while I am traveling is huge. I would much rather stay in a place like this than a more traditional hotel. I find that if I have access to a kitchen, is will get groceries and cook in atead of eating out. Which saves me money and makes me feel so much better.”

“Mariotts are always a pleasure to stay at, and this one was special given its great location close to the beach. The rooms were premium, and had extremely well done interior decor. (For example, the curtains are so amazing that if you decide to take a mid-day nap, be well ensured that not an ounce of sunshine will trickle into your room)The service was exceptional too - specially the order-in to your room service was very convenient!Special shoutout to Colin V, whose service at breakfast was exceptionally warm! Also, the following are not complaints but suggestions:1) shower pressure can be improved2) the couches at the restaurant are a little too low for the table (the silverish chairs are perfect, just for reference)”

“Motels in general get a bad rap. But this place was a good stop. Yeah somethings are a tad outdated but honestly an excellent pick. Great comfortable bed, excellent shower, clean and well put together. You can tell that the people running it have pride.”

“The only issue is that the walls are thin ... and the rooms are set up as mirror opposites of one another. And if the guests in the next room are inconsiderate, continuously colliding with the wall. And you're double screwed when they have an undisciplined small child and a crying infant. It's a non-stop sideshow!!On the positive side staff is very friendly, the rooms are large and recently remodeled .Rooms: Clean and recently remodeled.Noteworthy details: The woman who checked me in and out ... Has set the standard ... Absolutely ? genuine and good attitude ... Smile ?”

“Always a great stay at the Clocktower. The logistics are perfect as it relates to the coast and downtown. It is my "Go To" spot every visit to Ventura. Staff has always been very nice and accommodating.Rooms: Rooms have always been functional and nice.Nearby activities: Great logistics as it relates to the activities I visit Ventura for.Safety: Have always felt comfortable staying at the Clocktower, never have worried about my classic car when it has been in the parking lot. (Despite the solid number of drifters and homeless lingering around the neighboring park.)Walkability: Can get anywhere I have needed to go on foot or a quick UBER.Food & drinks: Great proximity to the downtown bars and restaurants.”

“This hotel is in a great location along the path of the marina, near restaurants and shops. It’s also very clean and somewhat modern.Although The staff appears to be short handed , we waited way too long for check in and hotel policies were not made clear to us. And when we called the front desk for clarification they didn’t have time for us.Also ask for a room on the south side, the north side has a unpleasant oder.Safety: Appears to be a safe environment all around the marinaWalkability: About a mile to all restaurants and shopsFood & drinks: Many options available”

“It feels more like staying at your favorite aunt and uncles house. The place that's not fancy but it's cozy. Good for down to earth people who have their feet firmly on the ground and don't expect perfection.”

“Really nice place to stay, clean rooms, friendly staff. If you ever have an a question about anything or an issue they are always willing to help anyway they can. Pretty affordable especially for the area that it's in. Close to the beach and walking distance to the grocery store and lots of dining options close by as well.”

“This place was extraordinary! You wouldn't think so, being a Motel 6, but the staff MAKES it. Ashley, Maria, Dawn - everyone has been so courteous, helpful and they always have a genuine smile on their faces. You don't always get that everywhere. Will definitely always choose this place because of them. Thank you!”

“Simple rooms. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are clean. Microwave. Fridge, no freezer,. Gf or size balcony facing the ocean, but the freeway between the Inn and ocean killed this place. All you hear are the cars. Situated on pretty grounds. You could tell this place was the place to be back in the day, oh my goodness, I can only imagine all the fun and excitement. None the less. Nice, secluded. Decent. Clean.”

Close to the beaches if you chose this Ventura California location, the convenience is unlimited with stores and gas stations, also charging stations for you electric vehicles.”

“I'm rating this place based on relative expectations. The place is clean, quiet, and amenity free (I'd never use that pool unless forced at gunpoint; Come machine wouldn't work; BUT Domino's delivers). Bed was way comfier (and bigger) than I had expected.Manager is appropriately surly (YOU try that job). All in all, GREAT VALUE.”
