“Great prices and good selection for how big the store is. Great customer service and amazing pricing. Such a great store for the community. As of right now they're open Monday through Friday and accept donations all days except Tuesday.”

“Literally a hidden gem if your a thrift girlie who actually likes the thrill of the hunt. Found more than a few hidden gems (how often to you still find Tiffany style laps, tons of genuine 70s silver jewelry with pearl/abalone shell details, leather goods, furniture..) I take off 1 star because the clothing options were not it, I feared for my life judging it on the outside being alone as a woman going in the first time, and I wish there was even more furniture.”

“Love this place! This is my Sunday stop after church. Michelle is such a sweet and kind lady. And let me mention the books, from educational to novels of romance. If you want to rewind back to 1999 this is the place to go!!'”

“I stumbled upon this gem today while walking around the area. Such a great selection of shoes and clothing for great prices. I found a really nice DKNY winter coat for $30, Patagonia button up shirt for $20, and Sam Edelman boots for $20. I will definitely come back as the employees said they get new shipments every day and get first pick of the nicest clothes given to Goodwill in the Bay Area.”

“Sweet workers, the prices r really good and they have a changing room to try on clothes. Plus the stuff they have are usually pretty good, always left with more than I intended to buy ??”

“This is a truly fantastic non profit - more than just a second hand store - TAGS is a place for teens to learn how to run a business and dive into exploring their creativity through workshops and support recycling and reuse! What a great addition to San Leandro's downtown !”

“Scored some great deals yesterday! They even pulled out a rack of brand name items that I found some cute Lululemon shorts and a designer shirt for My hubby! Great service and clean store.”

“Tiny little hole in the wall in the heart of beautiful and charming Menlo Park. The clerks have a heart of gold. Affiliated with the American Cancer Society so you're doing a good deed by donating there, or shopping there. The jewelry selection leaves much to be desired. Only the cheaper looking jewelry is displayed, and in a haphazard manner.”

“We were in the area and stop by. The looks like such a fun store. It's small but they have a lot of stuff. The prices were reasonable for the cool things they were selling. We purchased a few cool unique items right in time for Christmas highly recommend stopping by.”

“I have found great items at this thrift shop! It’s literally a hidden gem, I found a Kate Spade blazer and skirt for like a total of $10, a cute nude sweater dress with gold button details for the fall etc. It’s not a huge chain thrift store and that’s truly what I love about it. It’s downtown with great finds, sort of private, and with great prices. :) :) :)”

“Fantastic thrift store in Menlo Park, I'm so glad I found this spot! This place has some great designer clothing (French Connection, Calvin Klein), shoes, children's clothing and other thrift gems at incredible prices! I got a wonderful suede button up for only 2$! I will be coming back (:”

“I call this the "high end thrift shop". You can find some nice things but kind of overpriced most of the time. I grew up on second hand stores and very aware of pricing. Most people who shop at thrift stores are on a limited budget, like myself. Sadly cannot always afford some of the items due to overpricing. I realize it goes to a good cause but still disappointing since everything is donated after all.”

“I always always find nice brand name clothes, shoes and household items and accessories such as scarfs and purses. They have an excellent selection and the prices are good. They usually have colored tags sales where certain items are a percentage off.”

“Just went here for the first time. Organized, packed with people (popular!), somewhat pricey for thrift, and definitely the kind of place where you will find something. Clothing felt like about 80-90% of the inventory, but outside of that you can grab your typical coffee maker, toaster oven, etc.”

“Sometimes find a good deal, other times just dig through clothes and little nicknacks and other items... Savers is a pretty decent store and I think at the very least they do a better job of managing their business than other big chain thrift stores. The people I have interacted with here are friendly, and the folks at the donation center are especially nice and helpful.”

“First off, the staff has changed. They are genuinely sweet and friendly. Second, their prices are what used price pieces should be along with vintage items. Thank you for pricing them at affordable prices for brand name pieces. Some other Platos location OVERLY price their items which means I can go elsewhere and probably buy something new for the price I'm paying. So thank you to the store owner for helping (if so) regulate cheap prices for customers to enjoy coming to this location. Not sure why the low reviews but this is the only thrift store I've enjoyed coming to also because it's clean pieces and organized. Also doesn't have that used smell. You guys rock!”

“It's a shame that the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop has since closed down after being here in Fremont for over 25 years. I've been to this store multiple times, and even at their previous location in Irvington before they moved to this location in the Gateway Plaza. They always had stuff here for sale at reasonable prices and the staff here were very welcoming and friendly. It's sad that they are now closed. Shame on upper management for not giving this store a heads up that they had planned to close it. The owner of the shop had stated that they were given no prior notice that the store would be closing, therefore, could not do anything to try to save the shop location or find a new location. This place will be missed. The staff and volunteers will also be missed for their hard work and dedication over the years running the shop.”
