“I recently had flown back to New York to visit my family and when I returned a few days later came down with COVID. I left word for Dr. Fatima and her staff called me back & scheduled a time to speak with Dr. Fatima and I got the care I needed. I've been with Dr. Fatima for many years and I find her to be a very thorough Dr., very attentive, listens, & doesn't always prescribe medication right away but alternative methods, which I really like.”
“I had an appointment with Dr. Grigoryan today after waiting about three months to be seen. I'm so glad I chose Dr. Grigoryan from the doctors I had screened. From the moment I walked in, her staff was polite and professional. I arrived 15-20 minutes early in case there were additional forms to complete, though I had done everything online, which I greatly appreciated.
After my information was verified, the MAs took my vitals, and Dr. Grigoryan saw me right on time. She spent a solid 45 minutes with me, thoroughly reviewing my chart, family history, and patient history, and genuinely showed interest in what brought me to her as a new patient. She asked all the right questions and was respectful, nice, and attentive. I valued her insights and initial diagnosis of my concerns.
What impressed me even more was that I could do all my lab work right there at her office, rather than going to a separate laboratory. Since I wasn’t fasting, I'll be returning next week for that. The office is welcoming and chic, and parking was super easy. Despite having other patients waiting, Dr. Grigoryan never rushed me, showing her genuine care for patient well-being.
Thank you, Dr. Grigoryan and staff, for making my first visit memorable. I'm looking forward to future visits for my general health.”

“Dr. Avanes has been the best Primary Care Dr. to me and my wife. I have seen him for over 10 years. More recently, he has also brought in Sela Khachikyan, NP, who is also outstanding. Both take time to listen and offer a well thought course of action. I would highly recommend either of them! Their staff is always helpful and professional, parking is easy and it is a nice, welcoming environment.”

“I personally like coming here on the weekend and later on in the afternoon. They are quite busy in the morning offering physicals. So if you do plan on going during the week, I suggest around 12 or after. Overall great place to go with good staff. But because they do get busy Last call is usually around eight. Would recommend coming here.”
“Stopped in today for a primary care visit. Mary at the front desk was incredibly helpful with a problem that came up with our insurance. She went above and beyond, sitting on hold with and calling the nearly 5 different insurance lines we were re-directed about. I cannot say enough good things about her competence, perseverance, composure, generosity, and compassion. Doctor Barseghian came out to help and provide options as well as advice. Her attitude was so kind, gracious, and caring--you can tell that she is passionate about providing care to all. Her demeanor made the extremely difficult situation feel not so dire. We will be back soon and look forward to being cared for by such a kind and compassionate staff.”

“I had a very specific skin issue that I needed urgent care for. I probably ended up calling ten other places only to hear they couldn’t help me, I’m glad I made one more call here. I explained my situation to them & they said they could help me right away. I drove over & was seen immediately. Dr. Cho & her team are very organized, detailed & professional. I even got a follow up call 2 days later by Rachel to check up on me & see how I was doing.
I’ve never had that from any urgent care I’ve been to before.
I’d definitely recommend here to anyone.”

She is a wonderful & gifted doctor who is very knowledgeable with a warm and genuine bedside manner who really cares about her patients. Her staff is also very caring. She has greatly helped me through some tough health situations throughout the years.”

“Descanso Pediatrics is wonderful. Unfortunately, they went through a considerable change in structure and system changes (tech) during peak winter madness, but doctors and nursing staff are not to be blamed for that. Dr. Castro has been a fantastic primary doctor, but my children have seen all of the doctors in the practice over the years, and I can assure you all of them are knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Not a bad one in the bunch. I disagree with the negative comments on here, but I have a feeling they are being posted out of frustration and anger (which are understandable because it is frustrating when you want your child to be seen and they are busy), but let's not disparage a group of people doing there best to help children during the busy winter.”

“I recently started coming here for dental services after bad experiences at my previous provider. First of all, they are so fast! I've had two appointments so far, for an exam and for a cleaning. Both times, they called me in within 5 minutes of checking in and I managed to get in and out within the hour. This is a huge step up from my previous office where I used to wait hours just to be seen. Additionally, all of the staff is so nice and helpful, and Dr. Summers is a super nice guy! Everyone made me feel comfortable and they checked in frequently to make sure I was comfortable as they were working on my teeth. They don't try to sell you on unnecessary procedures or products like my last provider did. Also, I got so lucky that several of the techs who worked at my old office (before it became Western Dental) now work here at VCH! They recognized me instantly (even with a mask lol) and I'm just so grateful that I get to continue working with the lovely ladies who treated me growing up. Amazing staff!”

“Dr James has been very helpful, she seems overworked. The staff is sometimes good, it sometimes is difficult getting an appointment. Covid is currently a factor. As to type of care, I have gotten all the referrals I needed for tests which I very much appreciate.”
