“Easily the most supportive, encouraging gym I've been to thus far. I already have a great idea on fitness and training but these guys have quickly filled in the gaps with excellent coaching, classes and community. 7x7 has been beyond welcoming and answered every question. They don't let you feel isolated due to skill set and have classes for every fitness level. CrossFit sometimes can have a negative bias towards it but trust me, everyone who works or trains here wants you stronger, happier and healthier. As a primary endurance athlete who sometimes does bodybuilding style training, my fitness and body have never felt better. I plan to keep coming back to this A1 facility month after month and hitting goals. Check it out! Parking is a little tough but well worth it. They also have lockers, a small refreshment fridge and a decent sized bathroom that is clean.”
“Kate Mayfield High Fitness class is the best thing ever. After a long time without going to group classes, I always wanted to try High Fitness because of the exercises, dance and music. Since the first class I can't be happier. Kate's energy and encouragement is above and beyond. Even on a fast high impact class, she can work with all of us in our own pace. My boyfriend notices how energized I feel after Kate's class. And I am getting better at every week. High Fitness with Kate Tuesday 5:30 at the Castro location. That's the place to be!!!!”

I usually had tried to work out with runs, functional strength training, and ad-hoc Fitness+ workouts.I just felt like I was no longer progressing.I found Tribe through their 6 week challenge, and was able go from 17% Body Fat to 15% body fat while increasing muscle mass. It was great to see that with less amount of total exercise time, with more intensity, as well as focus on lower body, upper body, and functional workouts, that I was seeing more progress. I highly recommend classes with Billy. He's definitely my favorite trainer, and is always focused on pushing you in every class, as well as ensuring proper form.I recently ran the Golden Gate Half Marathon and broke a personal record on miles per minute (8 minute mile). I was impressed to see that strength and conditioning workouts that Tribe was providing was helping me with my running more than running more would have.”

“Being a part of the Punch King Fitness community since January has been amazing!? Going to PFK on a regular basis has helped me meet my fitness and health goals. As a re-starter to working out, I was able to learn quickly and keep up! The classes have a good variety of different exercises. The gym is super clean with great equipment. Ian and King are amazing people, the folks I’ve met at class as great, and I’ve surpassed some milestones I didn’t know I needed to pass! In particular, Ian has been very supportive of my goals and helping learn the PFK ropes while pushing myself! My kids are athletes and took a class with me. “Had an awesome experience being a member at The Yard during my time in SF! The gym is clean, has friendly staff, and has a great selection of weightlifting equipment. The main draw though is the pod reservations! A lot of gyms in the city are super crowded in the morning and evening, so it is super nice to be able to reserve a pod/rack for yourself at The Yard! I never had a trouble getting a reservation, even during peak hours in the morning. It was great to be able to zone in and have a good workout without having to stress about waiting for equipment.”

“I have been a client of Coach Charlie's for over 3 years now. I've done his group classes and also been a private training client. Charlie is a certified pre and post natal trainer. I attended his group fitness classes up until I was 8 months pregnant and Charlie was able to tailor the class so that I could continue to participate. Maintaining my fitness and strength while pregnant helped me to feel great throughout my pregnancy and made my recovery that much easier. I also started personal training with Charlie 8 weeks post partum. Charlie helped me build up my core from scratch and get me back to burpees and running by the end of my maternity leave.Charlie tailors his workouts to target the areas that women need to work on in order to maintain strength and mobility. I feel so lucky to have found Charlie and the group of amazing women, whom I call friends. As someone that didn’t previously enjoy working out and wouldn’t do any program/workout more than 3 weeks, orange theory has really changed that for me! I look forward to coming in and having an amazing workout! Molly and Cheyenne make the workout so fun while also pushing me to my best in a kind manner. I also appreciate that they assist me in my form and will correct anything that make not be right.I believe due to covid, class times have changed. So the only suggestion or request I would have is for later class times on the weekend (such as 11-1) and weekdays. As a nurse, I work until 7:30 pm and my co-workers have expressed interest in attending classes with me but were unable to as the last class is at 6:30 pm.Couldn’t recommend this location and it’s staff more! Everyone is so kind and sweet!”

Where else can you find a sub $50/month gym with a bunch of squat racks, machines, weights, etc? I'd definitely consider it the quintessential neighborhood gym. Quite literally has all of the equipment needed for a new comer, yet also satiates the seasoned gym-goer with its 10+ bench and squat racks. Dumbbells go pretty high in weight too. The equipment itself is a bit old/dated, but still entirely functional (remember the price you're paying). There are two floors, the bottom/main one with a bunch of machines, 5 treadmills, bikes, bench/squat racks, etc and the top floor with more cardio machines, a stretching area, punching bag, 4 more bench/squat racks, pull up bars outside, rowing machines, etc. People are truly super nice and approachable. They normally wipe down equipment after using it, and can help you with a spot if needed Highly recommend this gym!”
