“When visiting a Oakbrook Plaza, you’ll find quite a few fine restaurants, right around the same area. Even though the Gelsons is basically the established landmark. Make sure to take a little walk around beautiful surroundings, beautiful people.”

“It's a strip mall. They've got stuff. I'm interested in, places I need to go, and good parking. Not quite sure how to rate a mall, but it's clean, has useful shops in one place, and as aforementioned, plenty of parking...”

“The quintessential, ideal local donut shop. Always fresh, always delicious across a wide spectrum of offerings, and very reasonably priced (this is no bougie Sidecar-esque joint, just outstanding, classic donuts). Parking is free and easy, the proprietors are nice, they're open long hours, I honestly can't think of a single negative thing about it. It's to the point where I find myself making excuses to come grab their donuts any time I can. I've tried most of their offerings in the 3 years since I moved to the area, and you really can't go wrong with anything...but if I had to pinpoint my personal favorites, it's gotta be the glazed buttermilk bar, the chocolate chip roll, and the old-fashioned. I hope this place is here forever.”

“Experience the charm of this amazing location, which is magically enhanced by the festive holiday lights. Savor the warm ambiance while wrapping yourself in layers and perusing the charming stores. This little shopping oasis is charming despite its small size, which makes it a great place to spend a quick day trip or as a shelter from the rain. Savor delectable cuisine at the top restaurants and take a look around the few quaint shopping centers for an unforgettable experience.”

“When I first moved to the Conejo Valley in the 80's I became aware of North Ranch Shopping Center as the place where a crafts/decor store offered classes in wreath making. Just in time for the holidays, I took a series of several classes and started a new hobby. Since then, the center has evolved, even reconfiguring the layout of the buildings. It's now a sprawling "campus" of various buildings. The inner hub has lots of basics like Ralphs and Trader Joes for groceries, plus RiteAid, independent food places (pizza, Greek, Chinese, Italian, boba, vegan, etc.), Western Bagel, fitness studios, and a host of services. The outer buildings house banks and other financial service businesses. Chain restaurants like BJ's Brewhouse, Chick-Fil-A, and McDonalds help fill out the overall space. Parking is free. It can get tight at some of the sections of the center at busy times of day. Located at the northwest corner of Westlake and Thousand Oak Boulevards, it's an anchor location for the Westlake Village portion of Thousand Oaks. If you see a business listed with an address in the 3800 block of T.O. Blvd., it's probably in this center.”

“Dinner at Fogo de Chāo was a lovely experience. Excellent food and drinks, wonderful service. Wish there we weren't so packed in, though, maybe one or two fewer tables. It felt crowded.”

“Great shops and restaurants. But also the wonderful Ciniopolis. An upscale movie theater where a server comes to seat at the push of a notification button, takes your food and drink order and then delivers it to your seat which can recline to a comfortable home theater experience.”
