A bit pricey, but what isn’t these days? I should have brought my dad’s documents in sooner. Sandra “Monica” had everything finished quickly.
I will be seeking her tax advise / knowledge regarding selling some stock, real estate, and purchasing a new home.

Service was fine, but $265 for an unitemized tax return is outrageous. I should've done turbo tax, which is free if unitemized from what a coworker told me after the fact. I just wanted someone with experience to review my filing.I payed $150 last year I just didn't go back to that guy for personal reasons.
Next year I'll take my chances and file myself with turbotax.

I was very questionable about H&R block after After many years of using it but when I met Roger he really changed my view on the company. His work was absolutely amazing. I would recommend him to the whole world but I don't want too many people to take him away from. He is excellent with what he does and he actually knows how to set you up for more successful years and this is what you look for and what we need. He is wonderful at his job and although I don't want to recommend them to other People because Because he would have limited time for me and my business ?he is absolutely wonderful

Working with Monica at H&R Block made doing my taxes very easy and the online portal made everything very convenient. She provided options if I wanted to put money into my IRA and made sure I knew what to pay for my quarterly taxes as a self-employed resume writer.

I got to the office at 6:08PM and the doors were locked. The sign on the door says walk-ins welcome and that they’re open until 7PM today, but clearly both of those statements aren’t true. I wouldn’t have driven all the way out here if I knew they closed at 6PM. I called the office number to double check the business hours and of course no one answered so I left a voicemail. I saw a lady walking around inside the office so someone is there, I guess not open for business during business hours as advertised. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate of customers’ time.*update: I went into Sally’s next door and when I came out I saw a “tax professional” locking up and closing the office at 6:30PM. What a joke.

I usually do my own taxes this year with a few side business is it made it difficult I had a few issues I brought my Tax information here they were so helpful so fast made everything so much easier and I was still able to get what I need it in a refund. Thank you very much highly recommend.

I made an appointment using the online portal for H&R Block to make an appointment for a Monday at 10am. After scheduling the appointment online, I received an appointment confirmation by text changing my appointment day and time to a Saturday, 3pm.I called the office and got voicemail. I left a message with the days/times I was available. I received a call back from a woman who didn't seem to understand the difference between AM and PM appointments and what my availability to make an appointment was. I wanted AM; she heard PM ... a number of times.It was pretty obvious that she desperately wanted the appointment $$ because rather than tell me their office at 1718 Moorpark Rd. could not accommodate me, she scheduled an appointment with me for Tuesday, 11am.I arrived 5 minutes early for the appointment waiting for the "Tax Professional" to show up.At 11:15am, still waiting at the door, I called the main line of H&R Block customer service seeking an update.Turns out the woman had booked me verbally but never put it on the H&R Block calendar, even though she repeated to me, at least twice, the appointment time and date.Apparently, my time's not as valuable as hers.H&R Block tried to re-book me with the same person a few days later. They're kidding, right?Remember, when someone shows you who they are, believe them, especially when it comes to taxes.

Submitted my info to have my taxes filed over a month ago. My taxes were assigned to Elizabeth Knoss at this location. She has not filed my taxes and has ignored all my messages asking for updates. My taxes are now extremely late even though I got the info to HR Block within plenty of time, the rep at HR Block didn't even bother to file am extension for me. I know message daily asking for the status amd if HR Block is going to cover the penalties/late fees since they did not file it on time. Of course my messages have been ignored.

My 2020 tax return has a simple mistake that needs to be corrected. It will require refiling I am sure. I purchased the protection plan as this isn't the first mistake I have experienced here. I called on Monday, left a message for "the preparer" and never received a return call. Today, I left work early to see if the service was better in person, it wasn't! The "receptionist" was on a call with a client, however, was very talented. She was able to text the entire time she was giving advice, she was also rude. I am sorry for disturbing her texting time or Facebook time. I have been going here for years, what a disappointment. I am glad I used Agoura Tax Services this year, I already received my return, they caught the error. Anyone can input data with a program, buy Turbo Tax and save $300+. Last year due to Covid, we couldn't sit there to watch the data being inputted live or we would have caught the error. Bad, bad, noncaring customer service!
