I've never experienced wait times and my cat is always well cared for and sent home with the proper treatment. They don't push expensive meds and are flexible with treatment options. I don't trust my pets with anyone else.”

“The staff is so kind and helpful! The front desk is really nice and the vet team is as well. Appreciate they help you figure out next steps for your pet without you feeling forced to go all out and test for everything if you cant afford it. They find a good balance to help your pet one step at a time. Also the wait is always fairly short and reasonable which i really appreciate as well. And they seem to genuinely care and want to help! I had been going to a different vet for years prior until i moved, and i'm shocked at how much nicer and efficient and helpful this vet clinic and staff is. They have helped my dog and cat so much and i'm so thankful!!!”

“Friendly, privately owned, courteous & attentive staff. Compassionate vet staff. Kind to people & pets, not brusk or overly focused on doing their own task/workday stuff rather than beingbwith you and/or pet. Will work with you financially to help your pet. Decent parking, keeps appt times, allows walk-ins, will transfer previous vet records to them.
One thing that is defficient is not having some kind of on-site pickup pharmacy for standard meds, particularly flea/tick pills & the like. They will provide pills, ointments, etc. for surgical procedures, obviously. But for other things, waiting & submitting subscriptions is tedious.”

The doctors and vet techs are amazing at diagnosing my pup as well as offering/suggesting options for my guy. Overall I’m quite pleased and I feel like I can trust this place with my best friend. “This vet saved our Twinkie, we thought she wasn't going to make as she slowly started to not walk to not being able to sit up, eat, poop or pee. Found to be she had inflammed spinal fluid with alot of pain and with meds she is almost back to running. Great turn around from 5 days ago. The staff was so sweet and did everything they could. Forever grateful.”

I take them here for all their treatments, including vaccinations and their sterilization procedures, and everything has always gone wonderfully. “I started bringing my two bearded dragons here for their parasite and infection treatment a few months ago and the entire staff at Exotic Animal Vet Center has been amazing. From front desk, vet techs, and the doctors. They are all very knowledgeable and helpful. “In the mornings, there is a checker assisting in the self check out. No checker register is open no matter how long the self check line is. Finally, after several customers asked any employees about getting another register open and we're told they couldn't open one, magically, after more than 10 minutes and 10 people waiting in self check out, a register was opened.”

“I came in with no patient history for my cat needing emergency care. They ultimately couldn’t help me, but that’s not their fault—they just weren’t equipped for what I needed.
They still dropped everything and took my kitty back immediately to do what they could, they still showed concern and compassion, and they helped set me up to go over to an animal hospital equipped to do the services I needed. Their compassion and urgency made me feel like I was in good hands even in a moment that felt out of control for me. After I left, they called to give me updates about some paperwork, and asked *me* to update *them* about how everything works out for us.
Human to human care, even when it’s about animals, means so much in this world. This team has that in spades. I wish I could give ten stars.”
“I have had two vet visits at Banfield. Both times I saw Dr Chen, who was awesome. She took the time to explain everything and answer all our questions. There was also a vet tech at the first visit whose name I believe was Brian. He was also awesome and took the time to talk to us and explain everything. The receptionist working at the first visit was wonderful, but the receptionist working there at the second visit was rude. Other than that, I highly recommend them.”

Make sure you read reviews! Another walk-in vet had a very rude receptionist. Also they still did film X-rays (outdated as hell) and never emailed me the blood panel I requested. They were also about the same price range as this vet but not worth it at all.”
“Staff is very friendly, very professional and so helpful. I really like this vet. I’ve taken my dog to several in the first couple of years I had her, but now I only come here. They’ve taken me in as a walk in when I didn’t have an appointment. Only thing I would change, I’d appreciate if they would email me a reminder of when her shots are due. I once took my dog to a vet hospital during the pandemic cuz she was having an allergic reaction to a bee sting. To this day, they still send me vaccine reminders and birthday wishes for my dog Jackie.”

“I brought a stray cat here for a wound infection.
Staff: The receptionists and techs were friendly, and the tech and Dr. Boykins handled the kitty very well with gentle touch and small movements.
Appointments: You have to make an appointment to be seen. Walk ins will be redirected to the earliest appointment date available, and the receptionists do their best to find a time that works.
Wait time: I waited about 20-30 minutes with an appointment. The overall exam duration was about 30 minutes, and I waited another 15 for the kitty's medications. I was out of the clinic within an hour and a half, and I think that's quite fast with the large amount of pets being seen.
Price: I honestly think the price is reasonable, but this is my first time getting medications for animals and visiting a vet, so I don't know how accurate my judgment is. I got antibiotics (for 7 days), antiseptic wipes (30 pieces), and pain-relief meds for a total of $101.39. I didn't need to pay for the exam because I had a coupon that waived the exam fees for first-time clients.
Price negotiations: I told the Dr. Boykins before we discussed treatment plans about my budget, and he was understanding. He offered to give me an estimate of the medications and offered me medication options that are cheaper.
Overall, I had a great experience!”
