“The vibe is best comic book shop in Sunnyvale! Marshall warmly greeted me! Wanted to catch up w/ Keanu's BRZRKR. Didn't see any on the shelf. Without hesitation, Marshall came to the rescue! He found the bound Vol 2 trade paperback! Now, that's service! The selection of titles is comprehensive! Back issues even to the 90s were readily available. Ryan, the proprietor, is a great guy! Any comic book or graphic novel author/artist/creator would be honored to have a book signing there! Love the clean, modern, up-to-date feel of Comics Conspiracy! Will be back to buy more titles! Woohoo!”
“This place is wonderful! The staff is friendly, and there's a wide selection of games. I managed to find an old game that's barely sold in these retro game stores. So happy that it's here to stay! There are even toys and collectibles here!”
“Hilltop Gifts, a home to K pop merchandise as well as other cute plushies and trinkets ranging from Hello Kitty to cute little animals to toys for children. I've ordered online from Hilltop Gifts before when I was making little freebies for concerts, but today was the first time I've stopped by and it was such a treat getting to chat with the owner, Oliver. He's friendly, personable, and a great conversationalist. The prices here are pretty reasonable - a k pop poster cost me $3.50 and 3/$10 and there's a good variety of them to choose from. Overall, a great store to stop at if you're in the area. I'm sure you'll be able to find something.”
“I called Nice Twice Doll Shop about a week or so ago, hoping to find someone who is skilled in doll repair. The gentleman that answered the phone was extremely informative, but also broke the news to me that the repair of my doll would be difficult to come by as there are no folks around skilled in the type of doll repair I needed. I have a sentimental Christmas doll from my childhood, and the doll is sitting on a sled. She had a broken face, and her face is made of a sort of ceramic type of material. The gentleman compared trying to put back together the broken pieces tosomething like trying to put back together broken china. The details the gentleman provided were informative. I decided to eventually drive into the shop to show what type of break the doll had and see if there was any additional advice or information I could acquire. The gentleman who chatted with me on the phone took a look at my doll, and immediately started working on fixing the facial break. I was so thankful and grateful that he was willing to take a closer look, and even try to fix my doll. After about 30 minutes or so, my doll’s broken face was repaired and she was better stabilized with some added neck support! I am so grateful for Nice Twice Doll Shop being willing to fix my doll. The man had tremendous expertise, took care of my doll as if it was his own, and made my doll look so much better despite such a significant facial break. Thank you for taking time out of your day to help fix my sentimental doll. I am touched that you also did not even want to charge me! Your time, expertise, and genuine kindness is so greatly appreciated, and will be remembered! Thank you so much!!”
“Great store! I gave 4 out of 5 because the balloons I paid to have blown up with helium dropped to the floor 4 hours after purchasing them…also it was almost impossible to get into the store with my stroller!”
“Local amazing children's bookstore that used to exist everywhere and now are rare. Simply amazing establishment where you can find books and toys that serve real purposes.”

173 Main St, Los Altos“This toy store is fantastic! Every shelf is filled with games or puzzles or books or stickers or some toy! It feels so nice to walk into a real local toy store and not a toy department within a large corporation! Excellent customer service with complimentary gift wrap!”
“Feels so good to still see this book store open. The kids section is so well organized but the train table is missing which probably is due to pandemic experience. They have a Harry Potter section with cute stuffed toys etc.”
“Such a lovely children’s bookstore! They have a very wide range of selection for books and toys for little ones. Worry not, they also have a small section for young adults as well.Personally, I love their collection of puzzles. There are many rare puzzles that I couldn’t find it online or Amazon. These are amazing!Oh, the staff is very friendly. They also have a gift wrapping station.”

5245 Stevens Creek Boulevard, Santa Clara“Huge fan of this place. The selection is solid, the people are friendly but don't hover near you when you're browsing. This and Isle of Gamers are my favorite nerd shops in the area.
Update: this place still rules. Still super friendly, and they have a pretty active discord.”

24 E Campbell Ave, Campbell“I've been going to Heroes more frequently since the comic book store near me closed. After visiting a lot of the other local comic book stores, I can easily say this is my favorite spot. They have a good selection of back issues & definitely the best sales on free comic book day hands down. They currently have a sale for back issues: $10 & less is $1 & everything over $10.01 is half off. Everything is organized and easy to find & staff is always helpful & pleasant to speak to. There is a free parking lot, so parking is not an issue.”
“Was in Japantown San Jose recently and checked out Zonkey at the corner of Jackson St and 4th. The store can be easy to miss but look for a Zonkey A-Frame on the sidewalk in front of the entrance. It's a small shop but packed with a lot of great items. There's a whole shelf filled with popular blind boxes and some nostalgic Garbage Pail Kids toys. They also sell a lot of vinyl stickers, keychains, and prints, some anime too. There was this really cool 3D Attack of Titan 12x18 print that we picked up. Their prices were on par with other comic book stores that sell these items. For the amount of space available, they really did a good job organizing and displaying everything. The anime books were on the bottom shelves with other goods on top. There are quite a few Hello Kitty items as well. Some of their custom printed T-shirts were really cool but unfortunately no youth sizes available. Service was good. The employee was helpful when we were asking about different T-shirts and blind boxes.”
“Sierra Toy Soldiers provides excellent availability of 54mm military miniatures, combined with excellent service and support; affording collectors a broad array of manufacturers and items for purchase. It's a family owned and operated business that employs helpful and knowledgeable staff that are hobby enthusiasts. For all the aforementioned reasons I would highly recommend this business without reservation. -Bill Cleary”
“This toy store has been around for decades. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with a plethora of inventory. Support your local small business. This is what America was built on. Forget the big box corporate stores. The Wooden Horse has all your toy needs. I’ll be back!”

1952 W El Camino Real, Mountain View“For people who want to collect Sonny Angels, this store does not have any. When I asked the worker, he said he didn't even know what they were. The store had an ok selection of things though, and was pretty clean which was great. Overall an enjoyable place to shop around / look around in, albeit no Sonny Angels. (a previous reviewer said they had a huge collection)”
10AM - 9PM
2855 Stevens Creek Blvd, Santa Clara“very good customer service. Mace was extremely helpful, friendly, and great at greeting guests. Sarah Lynn, Andrew, and the rest of the staff were efficient at their work and made everyone feel welcome. Every time I stop by the store, I have to drop in for a small lego set. Probably the best lego store in the area. If I could give 10/5 stars, I would.”
“Excellent place for collectible cars, hot wheels, etc. floor to ceiling, blew my kid away when he entered the doors. Super owner, very helpful and kind. I took my son on his actual birthday, the shopping experience was a present in itself!!”
“Absolutely LOVE this place. I was at Goodwill next door and found this gem by accident. As an 80s kid who refuses to let go, this place lit a fire in my retro soul. Lots of vintage toy stores seem to be geared more around boys toys but they had lots of vintage Barbies, My Little Pony, Raggedy Anne & Andy, plus lots of unisex toys! There are rows of well-organized items, some very unique things! As a huge MJ fan, I appreciated that they had some of his memorabilia. They had so many Garbage Pail Kids cards, too! I always have a hard time finding them but not here! I'm not a Stars Wars fan but I can say they had a huge selection. So many things here unlocked memories for me and had me feeling like a kid again. I had to go meet my family so my time was limited but I definitely plan to go back again soon! Definitely give this place a visit!”
“The Pop Plug Toy Store is a treasure trove of fun and creativity. Their diverse collection of toys, from classic to cutting-edge, ensures there's something for every age and interest. The friendly staff is knowledgeable and eager to assist, making it a delightful shopping experience. Whether you're searching for educational toys or simply looking to indulge in nostalgia, Pop Plug Toy Store is a fantastic destination. It's a paradise for toy enthusiasts of all kinds!”
“I love everything about this place. Non-toxic and organic everything! I know I can always find something for my daughter. They have clothes, books, toys, and furniture. Just a heads up, it is $$$$ (and yes, four dollar signs); it is easy to spend $$$$ on a few things. Whenever Christmas or my daughter's birthday comes up, I know where to go. The reason for two stars? Limited on what they offer and parking. Definitely take a visit if you have a upcoming baby shower or a birthday party for kids!”
“This is a great addition to the stores at Valley Fair Mall. I have a 9 year old and I myself a 9 year old trapped in a 40yo body. Stores like this really help break things up among all the boring clothes, jewelry and shoes. It helps fill the void of stores like KB Toy stores from the 80s/90s.I would say most of their toys lean more towards Japanese Anime such as Naruto, Dragonball, Transformers etc.Pricing is fair. You can probably get it online for $, but you'd have to wait and can not guarantee authenticity. Because of online competition, they have all sales as final. The service and people working here were very friendly and you can tell were happy to work in the store and help customers.”
“The staff is always chill here and helpful it makes me feel the most comfortable in the mall. Don't dare say any place has gender neutral clothing til you go here. The clothes can be worn by anyone and sizes are mostly in size m or xl etc to make finding a fit easy. They also sell manga and witchcraft stuff. There is always a buy four get one shirts and again the staff are cool and even have a good bond with each other.”
“So accommodating and kind! The employees here are so sweet and you can tell they really care. I brought in a plush I bought on their website that was overstuffed and they took care of me no questions asked. They adjusted the stuffing perfectly and stitched my new friend back up for me. I love going to this store! ❤️”
“Legenda Comics & Games in Milpitas, California is a true haven for fans and enthusiasts alike. The selection of comics and games is vast, catering to both popular tastes and niche interests. The staff is knowledgeable and always eager to help, providing recommendations that often lead to new favorites. The store's ambiance invites you to linger, explore, and indulge in your passion. It's not just a store, but a community hub where you can meet fellow fans and engage in spirited discussions. Highly recommended for anyone looking to dive deeper into the world of comics and games!”

1210 Great Mall Dr, Milpitas“Bought a wireless portable charger last week and the item works fine. Staff are amazing people where they helped me smoothly at checkout and how they were able to help get the item that I need for my phone. Also, this store almost has everything you need from house hold items to our everyday needs as well.”
“Wonderful experience! Had my nieces and nephew visiting from New York. Kept a 13, 10, 6, and 5 year old entertained for hours. We arrived at 11 and stayed until 2:30. My nephew has autism and the sensory bag really helped. One of the staff Ramona was excellent interacting with the kids during a bingo game! Even the adults were entertained. Just wish it was clearer where to use the photo passes - did not know about scanning for the ride photos.”
“This place’s got some friendly staff! My phone died and wasn’t able to start my car (bane of phone keys in this modern age), and the guy over there charged it up for me. Saved my life and my frozen grocery. 100”
“Bookasaurus is a gem of a bookstore, filled to the brim with a wide selection of books and gifts. The manager is incredibly kind, even offering free gift wrapping, which makes it my go-to spot for children's gifts. What sets this store apart, though, is the staff. They're not just kind; they're genuinely passionate about getting kids excited about reading. They have a gentle approach that's great with children, making every visit a delight.”
