“This is an excellent value for money hotel. While the decor might be a little dated, the friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms and relaxed atmosphere more than make up for it.

“The best budget stay option in Sunnyvale, a personal favorite. Nice, clean room, comfy bed, great location. I like the fact i can walk to the Dennys next door for pick up. Among the top quality motel 6s you will ever get.”
“Fantastic hotel, I stay there every time I'm in town! Cheap, close to work, consistent, clean, quiet. Always easy parking, super easy to get to on and off the highway. You'd think it would be loud next to a main road, but NOPE. Very quiet and peaceful.”

1300 Chesapeake Terrace, Sunnyvale“The Radisson Sunnyvale has been a wonderful surprise! The pictures don’t do it justice, as everything is newly renovated and clean.Anna was wonderful at welcoming us and making sure we had the best room and experience during our stay. Will definitely be my new hotel of choice in South Bay!Thanks Anna!”
“This place is a secret gem.I didn't want to stay here. The location between two freeways seems like it's going to be noisy. The price was low (which is often a sign of what you're going to get.) It's not in a walkable location.I was wrong.I didn't have any issues with noise. The rooms were nice. Spacious, and way more room than one person needed. I didn't use the kitchen, but it was kept up and well appointed. (It was fun having two bathrooms.)The front desk staff was super friendly. It's dog friendly! (I didn't have any luck saying hi to anyone else's dog, but saw a few from a distance, which sparked joy.)For the price, it was an amazing deal. Some areas need a fresh coat of paint, but overall things are well maintained.Next time I need to be in Sunnyvale, I'll definitely consider the Sonesta ES again.”

597 E El Camino Real, Sunnyvale“My girlfriend and I came for a quick one-night stay and were very impressed. This was our second time staying at an AC Hotel property and our first time at this hotel and the high standard of quality set by the first hotel was definitely matched by this one. The room was beautiful and the bed (single King) was comfy and well made. One gripe I have is that the open-plan bathroom is a little weird (frosted glass is all that sets you apart from the toilet and the rest of the room) but I know that this open floor plan is just an unfortunate design trend that many hotels have adopted. But nevertheless, the room was beautiful, the staff were nice, and the location was great (solid food options within walking distance and a close drive to anywhere in San Jose). Also, HUGE extra points for the water bottle filling station located next to our elevator on the second floor. This is an amenity I wish more hotels would offer since most people nowadays carry around their own water bottle and, I assume, don't love filling it up in a bathroom sink. Overall, this was a nice hotel and I would happily come back to stay again.
Nearby activities: Great restaurants across the street and good shopping a close drive away.”

865 W El Camino Real, Sunnyvale“Good Value, Nice Staff. I really liked the evening happy hour and the bar tender (not sure of her name) was very friendly and had a great attitude. I was disappointed the jacuzzi wasn't working. I stayed here a couple of times and was told it was being fixed but it never happened over several months.”
“It's hard to find aparthotels that don't come with bedbugs or weird issues these days. I've stayed here twice and it's met the basic expected quality expectations of a habitable short-term domicile. The fridge could be bigger, the stove plates more powerful, the laundry cheaper etc. But this place does work, which seems to be a rare thing here in the south bay.”
“This hotel is of an excellent quality for the price. It was clean, up to date, and customer service was top knotch. All at a lower weekend rate than I have been able to find elsewhere.”

816 W Ahwanee Ave, Sunnyvale“Vagabond is definitely one of the better motels in the area, especially for the price. I stay here frequently for work. Check-in and check-out are always a breeze, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I wish the blankets on the beds were a bit more substantial, but I’ve never had a bad night of sleep when I stayed here (just maybe bring an eye mask). The area feels pretty safe, I haven’t worried about parking my car in their lot like I have at some other motels.
Rooms: Rooms are a bit dated but are as pictured. Normal wear and tear, but the amenities in the room all work.
Safety: Quieter location along one of the main roads in Sunnyvale. The inn shares a parking lot with Denny’s. Near a lot of apartment buildings. The walkways are lit up pretty brightly at night, visibility isn’t an issue.”

Safety: Sunnyvale is one of the safest cities in the country. And if you do have any issues Sunnyvale police department are quick to respond
Walkability: Walk anywhere no need for Uber (especially after a long night at the bar)
Food and drinks: The hotel is next to downtown Sunnyvale historic Murphy street. Great bars and food within walking distance. (Literally across the street)”

1085 E El Camino Real, Sunnyvale“The hotel is in a convenient location. Check in was fast and easy. Our reservation had the parking fee included by booking direct on ASRs site. The lobby had the sound of fluorescent lights buzzing and a TV from the bar, it looked nice and inviting though. Parking was fine, we used the garage most of the time and you could take the elevator straight to room floors.
We stayed in the Domain Suite. It was nice but felt somewhat barebones: no hangers, luggage stands, or glasses. The doors between rooms didn’t shut all the way and the automatic blinds didn’t work quite right. Both of the TVs worked well.
I thought the room was very clean. The deep tub was great to soak in, the separate shower and toilet were helpful and the robes were a good quality. There were lots of plugs and USB ports. All of the lights worked.
The breakfast was a standard continental with a hot bar. It was eerily quiet and you could hear the fluorescent lights buzzing away. We tried a couple of the cocktails at the bar and thought they great and the bartender was friendly and enthusiastic.
The day we left the power was out and we had to hoof our luggage down the stairs and into the dark parking garage. Not really their fault and they were apologetic for the situation. I assume check out would’ve been easy had the power been on.
Walkability: There were a lot of food options, a liquor store, and even a strip club, within a 5 minute walk from the hotel.”
“You get what you pay for,
The room was clean, looked fairly decent
Wifi had no password and was spotty
No fridge and as someone 6ft tall the shower head was chest height.
No major complaints though”

“Stayed here for a soccer tournament, was an overall comfortable stay. Complimentary warm cookies upon check in and coffee in the front lobby area throughout the day was a nice touch. We stayed in a king bed suite, full kitchen had basic cooking supplies, toaster, dishwasher, microwave, and cooking stovetop area. The full refrigerator had a funky smell so suggestion to hotel staff to keep some baking soda in there.
Bed and pillows were clean and comfy enough, but the AC unit was loud! Had trouble sleeping because of it. When we first got there, the room was super incredibly stuffy and hot, so immediately had to blast the loud AC set to 65 to make the room cold enough.
They offer free basic continental breakfast on the weekends (bagels, toast, yogurts, juices, hard boiled eggs, cereal, and fruit). Another nice touch! Everything was fresh and yum.
Good freeway access. Would maybe stay here again if the room AC unit wasn’t loud!”

“Really good value for money
not three points
Rooms: plenty
Nearby activities: doesn't exist
Safety: It seems safer than expected. It is not an environment suitable for homeless people.
Walkability: You have to be careful about that.
Food and drinks: doesn't exist
Noteworthy details: An American hotel that we would normally think of”
“This is my go to hotel when travelling to my company HQ. Service is always fantastic. Great free breakfast. Rooms are huge. My only knock is that maintenance needs to do a better job on upkeep. Between very noisy fridges (fans grinding) and poor HVAC (either not really working or super noisy) it has caused sleep issues on a few of my stays. Otherwise though - still my go to place to stay when in the area.”
