Our primary vet was in Benicia; he retired, and the new vet did not try to save Roxy.
Roxy is 11 years old. I was desperate. A friend of mine referred my Dr Kunal. He was very septic at first after a few new exams way cheaper then the first one ? he decided to do the surgery to remove the mass. We know it was a big risk but we accepted.
He saved Roxy and her legs. Kory was fantastic as well.
They took care of my dog that I have no words besides thank you so so much and I highly recommend them.

“Wow!!! Just wow!!! I'm so glad our friend recommended this place after we were quoted 4x as much and the vet was going to put our dog under. No thank you. We drove 1.5 hours from the Bay Area and so glad we did. The staff immediately greeted us. One wasn't even clocked in yet and she happened to open the door and tell us to come on in 5 minutes before they opened. We were surprised they let us in before they are officially opened. The staff that let us in was actually the receptionist and she helped us complete the forms. I don't know how she does it.. we were watching her multi task and greet every single person that walked into the clinic. We thought the receptionist was nice, but it turns out, everyone in the clinic is extremely nice. (Must be a requirement to work here). A tech came out to get our dog for the initial exam to make sure she was a good candidate. It took about 15 minutes or so. Once our dog was good, the staff let us know it could be 45 minutes to 2 hours. The staff eased our nerves a bit since this is her first tooth cleaning. We ran errands around the area. Home Depot, Target and Sprouts were near by. We got a call within an hour and said Bunny just got done and will be ready to leave in 10 minutes. When we came back, the receptionist had a full waiting area and helping another customer, but she was so kind to acknowledge us and let us know she'll be with us shortly. I really don't know how she jungles each customer and checking on dogs as well as answering questions and grabbing meds. Never saw her lose her cool once. Smiled the entire time. A tech comes out and goes over the results of the cleaning. Gave us recommendations. Once we checked out, our dog was brought out by the tech that cleaned her teeth and gave us another update. When I saw our dog's teeth, I gasped. I was so shocked that they're pearly white. She's a rescue and we thought the discoloration was permanent. So happy that we chose Pet Tooth Fairy!! I also notice another customer mentioning she needs to clean her dog's teeth more and the staff never once shamed her. And said thats what we're here for. Amazing staff. Amazing service! Attaching our dog's before and after picture. Also the new online reservation system is great. So easy to make an appointment and pay the deposit. We were able to send the vaccinations ahead of time, which made the check-in process a lot faster.”

“Dr. K and her staff at Oak Animal Hospital are truly amazing. They take the time to listen to you, completely exam your animal and not rush the appointment time at all. I have been going here for over 14 years and each vet has been exceptional. They don’t push extra tests or costs and are wonderful vets!”

“I went in distraught with what to do with my cat Jasper. I wasn’t expecting it but he passed away that day with Vaca Valley Vet. I came home today to a letter with his paw prints and nose prints.. I thank them so much for that. Something I wish I could’ve done. They are an amazing hospital/clinic. The sympathy and care while I was there and even after is unmatched. “I cannot say enough good things about this office. Our vet is AMAZING. They always tell you all the options for treatment and the price tag. They will even tell you when you can get prescriptions cheaper online. We had to unexpectedly put our "baby" to sleep today. Everyone was so compassionate. They gave me alone time with him, let me be with him while he.passed, and hugged me while I cried after he was gone. When we had to put.our dog to sleep because he had advanced cancer, they sent us a plaster cast of his paw print, and an ink.one. They are in his memorial shadow box to this day. They never make you feel horrible when.you have an impossible decision to make. I love this place and all of the people, from the receptionist and techs to the vets.”

“We had the best experience with Happy tails! Our regular vet wasn’t concerned about our cat’s sudden vision loss, but Happy Tails was able to squeeze us in same day. They took our concerns seriously and took great care with our elderly cat. Stephanie the vet tech was incredible. She kept us informed throughout the entire process and was so caring and gentle. “Dr. A and his entire staff have gone above and beyond for my animals. He is a veterinarian that really takes the time to explain what is going on with your pet. Elizabeth, (a long time tech at Dr. A's) is so extremely knowledgeable and she really loves animals.As busy as vet clinics have been over the past few years, Dr. A never rushes the appointment. I've had a few Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that I took to Dr. A over the past 10 years and he has treated them so well. I also have had cats that saw Dr. A. He is very gentle with them and his techs do a phenomenal job. I recently sent a few family members to see Dr. A and his team...they were also really happy with the care their dogs received.”

“THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL! As a new customer, I've been looking all over for a vet who genuinely cares. And let me tell you THIS is it. If you're anything like me, I will do anything and everything for my furbaby. I would go to ends of the earth for my dog. I've been very hesitant and anxious taking my dog to vet because he's a giant anxious furball. I've tried many other vets in the area, all whom lacked patience with my dog. In other words the other places, just labeled him excessively aggressive, instead of taking the time to let him get used to them, because he is anything but that. This vet and his staff are so wonderful and were so accommodating to me and my Max. They took all the necessary steps to ensure not only Max, but I was comfortable as well. I was thoroughly listened to and all my concerns were addressed. This place deserves all the stars plus more, they truly are amazing! All to say if you're looking for a vet that genuinely cares and loves animals, this is it. Thank you guys to restoring my faith in vets again!”

“Dr Canton saved our dog's sight. After our original ophthalmologist decided to remove both of her eyes, due to complications from severe dry eye. We searched for another opinion. Everyone we talked to led us to Dr Canton. This was in the height of the pandemic. As overwhelmed as they were, treating so many animals they managed to fit us in for a consultation. Dr. Canton and staff were compassionate and caring. Dr. Canton still had to remove one eye but was able to save the other. This was more than we could hope for. Our dog Daisy is back to being her bossy self and getting along great. This is a very professional team that does their best to provide the best care possible.”

“I noticed often the people who are complaining on here tend to have issues with communication. I am going to state that if you are a decent communicator, and don't plan on leaving your animal for the visit alone, but rather waiting with the animal as is customary at a veterinary office, you should be fine. My animals have been going here since 2021 and I have never had any issues. I will recommend that you schedule for a day you have off or first thing in the morning. Sometimes it can take quite a while (up to 30 min or so extra) to be seen due to the amount of animals they take as clients at this location. This has only happened a few times, but you must be aware that other animals may take longer due to having special needs. It's not all about you. However, I have never worried about waiting because my animals always get the concern and attention they deserve the length of their visit. I recommend being responsible and making sure that you have the time that day and are there for your animal. Please also be aware that if you have a desire to get your animal the rabies vaccine that you make sure you get it within a timely manner and the time for your animal to get it has not already expired, as you must get the three-year vaccine within the time frame for it to count. Remember that the rabies vaccine whether one year or the three year, are really the exact same vaccine with Petco (and most other vets). Most dog owners know this and make sure to plan for the rabies vaccine to be given within the prior time before expiration. Stay on top of your animals records and you should be fine. Vetco will always email the records after the visit. This is exceedingly convenient. Furthermore, they will willingly help you out with prescriptions if there's ever a hiccup and they are very kind. I recently had to call them and request a refill with a different pharmacy and the pharmacy order was filled within 30 minutes. They are definitely on top of things. I have never had any issues when I have scheduled on a day off or at the beginning of the day. Every appointment has gone very smoothly and we have gone here for both routine and advanced care with no issues ever. The staff and veterinarian are very caring and thorough. Yes, it can be sometimes pricey but that is the price that you pay for quality care. And no, they do not treat you worse because you are a Vital Care Premier member. On the contrary, I have been treated extremely well. It sounds like a personal problem for certain people. I know it sounds like I am kissing the behind of everyone here, but after reading several reviews that clearly were the owner's fault if you are an aware person who has owned animals for more than a few years, and has gone here many times because they have a dog with special needs - I can tell you that the reviews are exceedingly misleading, and not at all reflective of actual experiences. I feel it is my obligation to state the truth about going with this hospital.”

“The doctor here REALLY cares and listens and is EXTREMELY smart. He’s helping my cat get through being newly diagnosed with diabetes and this place from the assistants to the doctor care as much as I do about making the right choice and what’s good for our finances and ensuring us that everything will be ok. “The staff is kind, efficient, patient and understanding. They treated our family cat with kindness and compassion. We had a consultation because our cat was weak and not eating or drinking enough and seemed to be getting worse pretty fast. We were given a recommendation for x rays and electrolytes. The bill was high, my mom needed help paying. It was closing time. We scheduled the X-rays and electrolytes for the next day. We took our cat home and he died early the next morning. It's nobody's fault, it was too late to save him I'm sure. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 stars is that I believe the vet, with all of his experience, could've told us that at that point our cat's condition was so bad that we should take him to an emergency clinic right away and plan to have him put to sleep or he might pass away at home. Instead, we noticed that a bigger emphasis was placed on the money being paid for the consultation and the x rays and electrolytes the next day. So I recommend to everybody, if your pet is fine and healthy, Animal Hospital is a good place to go for routine visits. But if your pet is in bad condition, please go to UC Davis Veterinary Hospital in Davis, CA. The 30 minute drive from Fairfield is worth it. Those students and their Veterinary teachers go above and beyond for the animals (I've taken my dogs there for years and they're amazing). Still, no bad feelings for Animal Hospital. We are grateful for their help despite the pain of losing our family cat. Thank you for reading ‍”

“I recently had the best vet experience I've ever had here. Every person I interacted with was friendly, helpful, kind and patient. The doctor himself explained things thoroughly and anticipated the question I would have asked - what would he do if it were his cat?

I also wanted to add that I know a lot of people dislike masks but I showed up with my respirator and felt relieved that they were wearing surgical masks so I didn't have to worry as much about my kitty bringing home an infection that could hurt me (or him).

“The staff was very friendly and advised me 10 minutes after my appointment that there was an emergency that would cause a delay of at least 30 mins or so. The tech was very sweet with my baby Oogie and talked to him every few seconds to calm his nerves. We were in for his 1st puppy visit as well as a sick visit. They even gave him a treat to get his attention off of his shots. Although they were very thorough I was a little disappointed I didn't receive my 25$ discount for 1st time clinic visits. I wasn't informed if one of the tests they charged me for had been done or not either. It was lunch time so it's somewhat understandable but still disappointing. I will still take my pup there but only if absolutely necessary.”

“This store goes above and beyond! There is a great selection of treats for my dog who is especially picky when it comes to liking something long term. They always have large 15.5lb bags of food for both my dog and my cat, which saves me money in comparison to buying the 7lb bags and multiple trips a month!! I DEFINITELY recommend coming here over Petsmart, and it's less than a mile from the Gateway Blvd. Petsmart location in Fairfield.”

“They fit my cat in same day due to her having a loss of appetite. I am so grateful for Silvi (spelling?), John, and Dr Guijarro. I know all vets are inundated with clients and not having enough time in a day for everyone so I am so grateful they fit us in today. Silvi is always so professional and she went above and beyond squeezing us in. Without her, I’m not sure what we would have done. The Banfield Vacaville staff are always so patient and helpful. John and Dr Guijarro went over treatment options and Dr Guijarro gave an honest evaluation on our cat and didn’t push every service under the sun. “So this vet is a very good vet and very helpful. An definitely try to help clients who can't afford there bills with payment plans. But i just recently had a problem with a employee named makayla, i don't know if im spelling her name correctly. But she has terrible attitude, demeanor is terrible, an how she speaks to the clients is terrible. So with a establishment like that my only regards to them is they should definitely get her some more training. Because she can rub somebody the wrong way and everybody won't have the same patience i had with her an somebody might actually react an do something you that girl. But other then that i like everybody else in that establishment is very nice and helpful and know how to carry themselves. So i really hope they fix that problem and i don't think makayla needs to be fired but she definitely needs some more training with dealing with clients because her attitude is terrible and that mouth is to smart for me for somebody that knew nothing about the situation or my pet. I hope she gets the help she needs or the love she is missing at home somewhere else then a bad attitude at work an letting it out on others because her personal life.”
