“I was pointed to this place back when I was tinkering with cars and wheels before yelp was even around. Last I remember I bought nuts and bolts for a set of my Japanese 2pc wheels and they had the exact same ones I needed and in stainless steel. Super happy to walk out of there knowing I have in hand what was the missing pieces to complete my restoration.. FF 15 years later and Im happy to see that they are still up and running. Will need a flange nut and I hope to come by again soon..”
“This store is a gem! Run by a friendly husband & wife, this is an amazing place to get quality machinist tools, tooling, and INFO. Ask them; they're happy to share their knowledge.”
“Knowledgeable, outgoing, ready to help staff. Always reliable, always available --- Zack and Jack, and the entire staff are ready to assist in whatever project you bring to them.”

1297 W El Camino Real, Mountain View“The service at Blossom Hardware is excellent. The knowledge of each of the staff is deeply informed by decades of experience in plumbing and hardware stores. I find virtually everything I need to repair and improve my house. And the expertise to get just the right parts and pieces and any tools I need for a given project. The prices are comparable to Home Depot and Lowe's without the drives and the time wasted in aisle looking for the right pieces”
“Wide selection of steel, brass, aluminum, copper, nuts and bolts hardware and stock. Helpful and professional help with any purchase or question. Even my wife gets ideas from a visit.”
“Went in for some CO2 and Helium. JR was extremely helpful and fair. Much better place for customer service than Air Gas. I'll definitely go back when I run out.”
“If you have no other reason to go- this *feels* like a hardware store. I know when I say this I am speaking to a very specific subset of people. However, when I was a kid, my dad would take me with him to the hardware store, and I would get a lollypop while he and whomever from behind the counter would wander around looking for an eyebolt or the right shade of caulk. Giulio- who I assume is the owner, is easily 10 years older than my mom, who lives in the assisted living up the street. My mom can't be bothered to go to the chair yoga we're paying for, but Giulio went to work. He's not totally mobile, but he knows his s#!t. Whenever I come in, he or whoever else is behind the counter is happy to chat through my issue and suggest something. It's not a Home Depot- so they may not have what you're looking for every time- but they have a lot of things, and it makes me happy to know my money is staying local. Also, side story: One day during the summer, it's like 90, and I am behind a contractor who's getting a bunch of stuff - lumber, rocks...I don't know- but he's paying for it, and he grabs some water bottles for him and his crew and puts them on the counter. Giulio totals him up and says a number; the guy says, "Oh, don't forget these waters". Giulio says, "The town where I come from in Italy has the best water in the world, and it flows right off the mountain. If my father knew I was charging people for water, he'd come back from the dead and strike me down. Those are free." C'mon. How can you not go here first?”

251 California Ave, Palo Alto“Very friendly staff, an entire bone depot in a small place!Really impressive collection. You'll need the help of the friendly lady to find anything you need.”
“Giving my shoutout to Jake. Thank you so much for your help in the gardening section!! He went above and beyond to help me with my visit today from making my section of a fruit tree to carrying the heavy soil to my car. There's a closer Ace where I live, but it's not as friendly as this location. I would definitely make my way down here again for my gardening needs.”
“The guy at the counter was extremely helpful. He looked up what I was looking for and showed me exactly where it was. The price for this difficult to find synko exterior patch was cheaper than the Internet. I will be back.”
8AM - 6PM
875 Alma St, Palo Alto“The manager was very patient while helping me. I went to this hardware store with a unique plumbing challenge. Needed hardware and water supply tubing for a commercial ice maker. The existing fittings were male compression. Super patient, excellent customer service, and went way beyond reasonable expectations helping me find what I needed.”
“Hassat/Ace Hardware always has what I need, no matter what it may be, from gardening supplies to painting needs. You name it / they've got it. The staff is always kind, professional, and helpful
in directing me to the correct section of the store. I've been a
customer for over 40 years.”
“PV Hardware is the general store for Portola Valley. It has a bit of everything and is a reliable place for your hardware needs. The staff is friendly and the prices are good, especially for this town. It’s just a bit small and the selection can be a bit limited.”
“After being contacted by STC Valve's new Sales Manager Kevin, I have received very good service. In particular, Kevin refunded me the price of the defective valve even after over a year had passed since I first complained. I'm encouraged that Kevin and perhaps others have turned this Company around. I would buy from them again, given my experience with Kevin.”
“If you've spent a couple decades without a local lumberyard, what a breath of fresh air this crew is. I was looking uncertainly at plywood when a guy finished with another customer, asked what I was looking for, and then *said they could cut the wood for me*. I almost cried with relief. As is common with vendors that thrive on commercial customers, none of the wood has prices on it. I paid maybe a bit less than a box store, but for beautiful 1/2" sanded plywood: not only did they have it right there, but I didn't even have to go through the stack to find something that wasn't terrible. I'm more than happy to drive the extra 10 miles to shop here.”
“Excellent neighborhood hardware store. They have a good selection of items and friendly staff who are always ready to take the time to help. The shelves are well organized and knowledgeable staff provide good information. They make keys. Plenty of parking available. Feels great shopping here unlike some warehouse style stores where you can get lost roaming the aisles unable to find what you need.”
8AM - 7PM
12870 Saratoga Sunnyvale Rd E, Saratoga“Incredible to find a place like this in today’s no-service age. Friendly staff that says hello when you walk in and asks if you need help finding something, and if you are not sure what you need for a project or repair, they actually listen and make thoughtful suggestions. They also have experts in their paint department that can custom match from almost any scrap of color you bring in. And if they don’t have the item you need in stock, they can custom order without taking a credit card and have it delivered in a few days. Absolutely AMAZING customer service. No more dread going to those “big box” stores, and very conveniently located with super-easy parking.”
7:30AM - 6PM
1369 Industrial Rd, San Carlos“I've been coming to this store for the better part of 2 decades now. Whether you're a simple weekend warrior like me or you do it for a living, this is the place to be. If its tool related and you need anything going from a screwdriver to a portable table saw to a new lathe for your shop, maybe a bandsaw, go. If you don't see what you need, ask. I've never stumped anyone there with a question. Give yourself some extra time if you've never been because chances are you'll be there longer than you expected once you start walking around. Yes, I read a few reviews here and all I can say is, don't listen to the guy whining about $89 diagonals. If you know tools and you know quality of tools, there is no better place and prices are definitely reasonable and competitive. I just picked up a Festool cordless 55 saw, i was not expecting to pay those Harbor Freight or HD Ryobi prices for it. Maybe don't buy that rechargeable screwdriver either, expecting to get what a 10v cordless driver gives you. There's a tool for everything and these guys seem to have it all. If they don't, chances are they can get it. If they can't, they will tell you where you can. I'll definitely keep going back and like i said, if you haven't been- go.”
“Fantastic Local Hardware Store. Well stocked and if they don't have they will order. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Recently bought a BBQ - they ordered for me, put together and delivered it. Couldn't ask for more. And competitive with the big box stores!”
“First time into the shop. Someone quickly offered to help, found exactly what I needed, and got it into my car in under 20 minutes. HD and Lowes didn't have these items and the internet was more expensive and would have taken longer. It's great to have a local small business to support.”
9AM - 6PM
40 El Camino Real, San Carlos“Had to stop by Woodcraft to pick up some items my dad had pre-purchased. Also had to pick up some smaller wood pieces for a project. Charlie's customer service was great! He was very helpful. The store has a great selection. Thanks again!”
8AM - 5PM
2532 Old Middlefield Way, Mountain View“Don’t let the location fool you. These guys know small motor equipment. They had the parts that I needed to repair my wood chipper. I had a good discussion about the design and issues with my model with the salesman. I’ve been here before and I’ll definitely come back in the future.”
“They pack a lot of quality products into the small location. From the street you can't even tell there's a business here, but don't be fooled, they are ready to meet your tool and supply needs.”
“I am so glad I found this store!! I went in looking to see if they had horse related items and they DID!!! I found halters, fly spray, supplements, dewormers, brushes, hoof picks and shavings. I know they also have pellets/grains too. It had everything I needed! And they have Peepers! If you don't know what they are, they are really fun and useful reading glasses. Staff were super helpful and kind. This will be my go-to place for sure!!”
“The folks at Sunnyvale Lumber are amazing! I came here after being recommended for my Eagle Project. They cut the wood down to size for me even though that is wasn't one of their standard sizes.”
“We had Oros help us with plumbing questions and he was amazingly helpful. We were able to fix our plumbing issues without paying the outrageous plumber fees. We are so grateful that we have this wonderful neighborhood resource!! Thank you Oris!”
“Pablo conducted our tour of the campus and he was most professional and at the same time personable. This was our best tour so far and way better than our Harvard tour.”
