Pet Grooming
Rainbow Pet Groomer (Mobile)
1700 El Camino Real SPC 1-30, South San FranciscoMaju is great! My family has known her for a while but this is the first time she's ever groomed our dogs. Our white Shih-Tzu is old and blind but she still did a bang up job on him. Same goes for our brown mutt. She was on time, easy to talk to, patient, and finished both our dogs in just under 3 hours! Would definitely recommend!

Here, Doggy!
113 S Linden Ave, South San FranciscoI highly recommend Bethina's grooming services. She’s incredible—honestly, the best groomer I’ve ever met. She’s very responsive via SMS, extremely friendly, and professional. I am still impressed with how she (magically) calmed down my aggressive mini-pinscher in seconds and performed both nail filing and clipping in a few minutes. Thank you, Bethina—you’re the best!

San Francisco Bird Hotel
183 Utah Ave, South San FranciscoOur Meyer's Parrot, who is now 28 years old, has been a regular at the SF Bird Hotel for many years -- and it's always worth the 1.5-2 hour drive to get there! The staff are wonderful, and he is obviously very well cared for (in every sense of the word 'care'! -- including with fresh fruits & veggies daily) -- he's always very content and happy when we arrive for pick up. Our parrot is an absolutely BELOVED VIP family member, who has very specific care needs -- and I do not hesitate to frequently entrust him to the SF Bird Hotel.

The Pawington
116 Beacon St, South San FranciscoOld age finally caught up with my dog and sadly, he passed away. I am writing this review because The Pawington was such an integral part of his life. He was a rescue and clearly had been abused by his previous owner. The staff at The Pawington took great care to attend to his psychological needs as well as his physical ones. They made him feel safe, and loved, and for that I will always be grateful. The made his last years remarkable!
The opportunities for dogs at The Pawington-- lake play, indoor/outdoor day care, grooming, are wonderful! But of course, it is the people at The Pawington that make it such a special place. My sweet Shakespeare loved them all, and that is saying a lot, given his anxiety. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to all at "The Paw" who took care of and loved my precious fur baby. If I could give The Pawington ten stars, I would. Even my vet said that it is the best pet resort in the Bay Area. I agree, wholeheartedly.

Cafe De Casa
1165 Airport Blvd, South San FranciscoCafe De Casa was an accident find for breakfast nearby our hotel this past weekend. We ended up going twice on this short visit. I got the Acai Berry Bowl $16.75 on both days. I really enjoyed the consistency of their Acai mixture as it's thicker than most places and has a structure to it. So you get a really good mouthful as opposed to other places where it's often runny. I feel like this is how Acai bowls should be. The kids enjoyed their Empada de Frango and Coxinha. I can't say much about it since they ate it all and didn't share any of it. While enjoying our brunch, we saw the neighboring table get their orders and was amazed. Order after order of the steak or chicken lunch would come out and we were just an awe. The steaks were falling off the plate, and there was an additional plate of sides (rice, beans, salad, etc.). The Husband was convinced we needed to return the next day to get an order of the Bife Acebolado (grilled steak plate) and we convinced my sister and hubby to come as well. Unfortunately for us, we arrived at 10 am and it was busy. We were lucky to grab a table, but the devastating part was that lunch isn't served until 11 am. Big fail on our part. So everyone got their ready-made pastries to enjoy. (As we were in line, we saw items disappearing before our eyes, so arrive early if you want a selection.) The Husband and Little Guy enjoyed Abracadinho de Salsicha $5.95 and 2 Esfirra de Carne $5.95/each. The Little Gal had the Carrot Cake with Chocolate $7.70. It had a stronger orange flavor than carrot though. It's a good size cake and probably should be shared as she couldn't finish it. I also enjoyed the Pao de Queijo Grande $4.50 as I just love Brazilian Cheese Bread. (I have a bad habit of filling up on those when visiting Brazilian steakhouses.). They offer a large and small version, and the large one was just yummy. In retrospect, I should have grabbed a few to go, but the line was ridiculously long the whole time we were there and when we left. There is limited garden seating available. Once you place our order inside, you can hopefully grab a table and they will bring your order out. The Husband will definitely be on a mission to experience their lunch at some point. They are closed on Sundays, so that will make it a bit tricky during our weekend visits.

Dead Eye Coffee Bar
415 Grand Ave STE 100, South San FranciscoDead Eye Coffee Bar is a terrific local establishment that excels in the creation of marvelous coffee drinks. My latte in a mug was a delicious way to start my morning, as were the wonderful pastries ?.
This is a true coffee bar with stand up counters if you want to sip your coffee inside.

Sky Cafe
223 Grand Ave, South San FranciscoI’ve been meaning to write this review for a while, as we’ve been to Sky Café a number of times, an absolutely love it! They have a wide variety of delicious plant-based dishes ranging from breakfast to dinner. They even serve up an amazing plant based filet mignon that is out of this world, the brunches are delicious. Everything is so good! The owner, Kenny, is a wonderful human being who is also a musician, and they often have live music on the back patio. Absolutely do not miss a stop at the sky Café. If you are in the bay area, I promise.???❤️

Brothers Cafe
382 Grand Ave, South San FranciscoSurprisingly, this place was really awesome for brunch! We had to just come from Japan and holy moly... The portion sizes were HUGE for A very reasonable price! The service is also extremely quick. We put our orders at the cashier, we're seated and probably probably within 10 to 15 minutes. All three of us had our food already! Additionally, when you get a coffee or even a latte, you can get free refills! Highly recommend for a brunch place that doesn't require too much of a wait!

Boudin Bakery, catering only
328 Littlefield Ave, South San FranciscoSourdough heaven! This place was super busy during my summer visit but I was serviced quickly through the line. I came here for one thing and that was bread so I did not get to try any of their delicious pastries and cookies unfortunately. I grabbed a "baby turtle" small loaf, yes it was shaped like a turtle! So cute and delicious. These breads are top notch coming from someone who also bakes sourdough. The bread is hard on the outside with a soft tear apart middle. Enjoy your loaf with butter. I do wish my loaf could've been warmed up though. They were too busy so I didn't bother to ask. Great place that is found all over San Francisco. I loved stopping here during my trip!
