“While this is now a private condominium complex of sorts, it is still a beautiful building. I would have loved to have been able to see the inside. It is something special to see. The building is celebrating their 125th anniversary with a gala in March with proceeds used for restoration.”
“I recently hosted an event at this remarkable rental location, and it exceeded all expectations, earning my enthusiastic 5-star rating. The venue itself is stunning, with versatile spaces that catered perfectly to our needs. The staff’s professionalism and attention to detail were exceptional, ensuring a seamless planning process and flawless execution on the day of the event. From the initial inquiry to the post-event wrap-up, the team demonstrated a commitment to customer satisfaction that truly stood out. The amenities provided were top-notch, and the overall ambiance added a touch of elegance to our occasion. If you’re seeking a venue that combines sophistication with impeccable service, look no further – this event rental location deserves every bit of its 5-star acclaim.”
“We absolutely loved our stay at Bissell House! We were looking for something more charming than a big-box hotel, and Airbnbs have become too much work quite frankly with all of the “rules” that come with them. Bissell House was absolutely perfect – the owners put so much care and thought into the place. I couldn’t stop taking pictures and videos – the whole place was decorated to perfection and made you feel like you were right at home. The complementary breakfast was also incredible! We had a yogurt parfait and French toast. The service was incredible – we didn’t have to lift a finger.I highly recommend Bissell House. It is well worth the price (which honestly wasn’t bad and is comparable to what hotels are today with all of their added fees). I hope anyone who stays there has as magical a time as we did.”

300 E Colorado Blvd #200, Pasadena“Noor Pasadena deserves more than just five stars for its phenomenal service during the Roaring 20s Benefit and Auction, organized by Boston Court Pasadena. As the Development and Event Manager, I was thoroughly impressed.Noor's commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect of the event. The full-service catering was a culinary masterpiece, leaving our guests delighted. The attentive and friendly servers, along with the efficient bar staff, ensured that our guests were well-fed and had a fantastic time. What truly sets Noor apart is their dedication to flawless event execution. “It is spacious and has multiple entrances, making it easy to get in and out.Very comfortable. It's a beautiful place. There is a parking lot right across the street, but I'm not sure how much it is. However, it seemed a bit crowded due to the large number of event crowds. If you don’t mind walking about a blockParking at E Green St, Pasadena, CA 91101 is $12 per day. It's a bit disappointing that there is no discount on parking.”
“I've organized two 300+ people plus parties at this venue with LCFCC and would return without a doubt. The coordinator, Joy, and her staff were professional, experienced, considerate, and invested in helping make sure our event was successful and our guests had a great time. 5 stars for the entire staff. The venue itself has a naturally amazing view, day or night, which reduces the need for heavy decoration. On-site parking was ample and close. The view is also amazing from the lot. Venue has multiple rooms to choose from, we booked the entire space and was able to create activities specific to each. We selected the classical buffet amd various passed appetizers, overall the taste and quality was great. I had no complaints from the guests, all complements. Salmon is challenging to prep for large groups, and they've delivered consistently. Bar was well-stocked and bartenders were solid. Venue can provide all your standard party material and some AV. We had our own vendors for some activities, which was straightforward to arrange with the coordinator. Price was reasonable considering the included amenities onsite. Joy, the coordinator, and the team leads were onsite and actively monitoring all night to ensure a smooth event flow.”

55 S Grand Ave, Pasadena“I absolutely recommend the Maxwell house as a wedding venue! The architecture of this historical mansion is so beautiful, It gave our wedding a more unique feel than your typical hall. From the ornate ceilings, beautiful grand staircase to the fine art hung up on every wall - it was everything we imagined for our day! Cindy was so kind and responsive, the whole staff was amazing! Thank you Maxwell House.”

“I wish I could give Altadena Town and Country Club 10 stars! I and everyone at my venue was so impressed with the Celebration that I held at the Club. It was successful because of the help I received from Sandy, the Director of Catering and Special Events.
The Club is beautiful inside.. the scenery from the club is beautiful..her staff was wonderful.. so so very nice and professional..especially Adrian.
The food was beyond words… just delicious..it was all my guests talked about!
Thank you Altadena Town and Country Club and especially Sandy, for making a very important event for me so perfect….”

1431 Colorado Blvd, Eagle Rock“My toddler loves this place! While this isn’t Kidspace, which I compare most places to, it is perfect for what it is. The activities are diverse, clean, and organized. The price point is also good. I’d highly recommend a visit to see if you little one like the place, and I’m confident they will!”
“This place is gorgeous. Attended a wedding there and I live the outside setup but there were fire ants bothering us. The place should spray out there for insects.Inside was perfect.”
“So this is a cute little venue in the middle of Pasadena. First of all, I would like to thank the University club of Pasadena for being here at all. Fun fact, every wedding I'm invited to. Every one of them! I have to drive some untold number of hours to go to a destination for people who I adore that I will talk to for less than 2 minutes. And then I'll spend the rest of the time saying weird stuff to my friend's family and other friends who I have never met. And I will probably end up as a footnote to the wedding stuff. Oh hey you remember that weird guy that talked about his foot fetish? Oh, Alex? That guy sure talked a lot about that mental health stuff called attachment theory? Oh yeah dude was kind of weird. I think he has issues for giving himself. That's the kind of stuff that I don't want to deal with at a wedding and whenever I have to drive more than an hour to get to a wedding which is almost every freaking time. I have to deal with it but because University club of Pasadena open their doors to my friends I did not have to do that. I only had to drive 10 minutes from Sierra Madre to find myself a nice cozy parking spot because I showed up a little bit early. And let me tell you the staff they were on point. They treated us like true guests. The mixologists or bar keeps were superb. They were snarky. They made our drinks stiff and our faces happy. The guy that looks like Gavin newsom was a delight. A real slice of a guy. The gown that served me a shot of whiskey before I sang I Believe in a thing called Love by the darkness. I'm blowing Kisses at you. So the venue is spacious. There was plenty of dance floor. There was plenty of space for people to sit through the ceremony and I just have to tell you that I loved being here. It was such a great place for my friends to have a truly wonderful and beautiful day. And I'm glad that I got to sharing it. And if this chorubic faced ginger bearded man could find such Joy. Just watching other people enjoy themselves. Imagine yourself here enjoying yourself or letting other people enjoy the things that you enjoy. Can you even imagine that? No, of course not because I'm the one with the imagination. You're the one reading this. Go watch my favorite band. The go home Becky's streaming live now. Not really. I think I made that band name up. I saw it in a bathroom once. Anyway okay bye. Love you”

9443 Telstar Ave, El Monte“This cultural center has been around for as long as I can remember! I've participated in a good amount of TECCO-hosted programs and it's always nice to come and spend some time here. Parking is never a problem here - there are plenty of spaces and the parking lot is free. There are restrooms (and lots of them). And the amenities have generally been well kept across the years I've been here. I've submitted college applications for universities in Taiwan here. I've also come here for multiple music performances, attended leadership conferences, joined TAP or TJCC hosted events here, and much more. You can also renew your Taiwan passport here - they're really helpful and can also answer any questions via phone call (but they might speak limited English).”
“Attended a fundraiser, luncheon, and silent auction, boutique, for The Carmenlite Nuns. It was a very nice venue for this event.
All staff were wonderful, very gracious and attentive. Will return. Was a great day.”

1453 N Lake Ave, Pasadena“Hosted my baby shower here and it was so lovely! Armen (owner) & Bibi (our server) were very attentive and helped me make my event go as smooth as possible! On the day of, Bibi was a one woman show and she was SO nice/amazing. She made sure to clean up promptly after my guests and tend to our needs. The venue is beautiful inside and has its own bathroom. The food was so delicious and they let you take home leftovers if there are any. I had the: green salad, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, beef lasagna, calamari and upgraded to salmon. I also added the tiramisu dessert which was SO GOOD! The only thing on my part was I thought the food was a buffet / unlimited but it was just served buffet style. I just wish I had clarified this because I ended up having to order more food when a few of my guests came late because there was none left. Just be mindful of this when booking and I suggest ordering more than you need if you know your guests eat a lot. I would definitely consider having future events here! Thank you for a great experience :)Parking: There's street parking that I know can be hard to find on some days and there's valet right next door for $16.”
“This is a great local ballroom studio for people wanting to learn all types of ballroom dance. The dance floor is huge with plenty of room for multiple lessons going on at the same time. There are some afternoons or evenings that have social dance hour, so you might want to find out when those events are... whether you want to attend at those times, or you want to avoid scheduling a lesson during those times, Lol.Many years ago we had a bad experience when out of the blue, the management decided they did not want children dancers in the studio. My son was training in ballroom in preparation for a competition. His partner was actually the professional ballroom teacher's daughter. But we were forced to go to another studio to dance. Needless to say, that was not a good experience. However, I understand that management has changed, and now, under the direction Brenda, it has a much friendlier atmosphere and routinely there will be young students training there as well. Definitely this is a training ground for a future professional competitors, as well as a great place if you want to be motivated or inspired by seeing what others can do, as well as take their group lessons.”
“This is our favorite bowling alley. It still has that vintage bowling alley feel from the aesthetic down to the smell. The staff is super sweet and diligent and the lanes are well maintained. They have beer for those who enjoy a brew while bowling and they have vending machines for snacks. We have celebrated multiple birthdays here which the staff has always been super accommodating to. We've been coming here on Sundays for their special pricing for over a year now. We love seeing the same familiar friendly faces. Highly recommend this place”

“I attended a wedding and reception here. The patio area where the ceremony took place was quaint and beautiful! Although it was a hot sunny day, there were several shaded areas. The reception was inside in the banquet room, which was beautifully furnished with lounge chairs, couches, mirrored walls and long finished wood tables and chairs.”
“This place is amazingly beautiful and quiet. We came here for a wedding and everything about the evening was perfect. Weather cooperated so that was a plus. They transformed one of the open garden areas into a dining space for 100 guests and it turned out great. Dance floor and open bar was setup at the top of the garden area and the host was accommodating.Everyone seemed to have a great time and the catered food was not bad. Highly recommend this place for smaller party gatherings and get togethers. Parking is valet as they don't allow street parking without a permit.”

177 S Arroyo Blvd, Pasadena“La Casita Del Arroyo is a hidden gem for hosting events. The venue's rustic charm, nestled in a scenic arroyo, creates a magical ambiance. The outdoor spaces and architecture are picturesque, ideal for weddings and special occasions. The attentive staff ensures seamless event planning, and the flexibility of the space allows for various setups. Whether you're celebrating a wedding, reunion, or corporate event, La Casita Del Arroyo offers a unique and beautiful backdrop that will leave lasting memories. It's a truly enchanting place for any occasion.”

24 N Mentor Ave, Pasadena“It's my first time visiting The Ice House. Such a nice place to visit. Byron Monterroso got to perform on stage he did a amazing job. I'm proud of him. I have to give the server service a 3 star. The server tried to over charge me in the beginning of the show. She never gave me a refill on my diet coke. Yet, she claims at the moment my refill is on the way. Next time, I'll just get myself up to ask for a refill Service can improve.”

3802 E Cesar E Chavez Ave, Los Angeles“10/10 Will recommend. What an amazing staff that took care of my wedding reception. Joey and Diana are so attentive to your needs and fulfilled all of my request to make my day special. The venue was decorated absolutely beautifully by Diana and brought my ideas to life. The staff and security that assisted on my special day were all great and friendly. The bar was 10/10, they made our drinks perfectly. Overall, just book your next event here. They aren't like other banquet halls!”
“A very charming rental venue that we reserved for an evening to host a dinner for about 70 of our friends. our contact was Stella, who was professional and informative. our caterer and myself loved the kitchen-- it was spacious, great counter space and a great stove to heat food. also spacious fridge. Bathrooms and the whole venue was clean. There are multiple sets of french doors throughout the main room, which helps to circulate fresh air. we didn't have to rent tables and tablecloths from an outside vendor as you can rent them from the lodge. our guests loved the location. we plan on leasing it again. great for wedding, reception, party, or a dinner.”
