“I fell in love with weight lifting at Iron Method because of the structured exercises and consistency of training in every class. My favorite is Carolyn because she makes the classes so entertaining with her crazy energy that never seems to exhaust her. I love how she motivates by pushing my limits but never puts me down if I choose to take it easy. We all get a personal training in a class setting environment and don't pay an arm and a leg for it. All the Instructors are pretty amazing though with their unique training methods. I am very grateful to be part of the Iron Method community:)”
“THERAPY. As someone who has had occasional difficulties in their personal and professional life I often found it challenging to have something to look forward to. This is that place. This is the place you look forward to going to every day. It isn't so much the building, but more so the people that make this place what it is and what it is evolving into. The friendly faces and genuine friendships that illuminate from here are cheerful and positive. Whether you're a business professional or a blue collar worker, a full time mom or a part time podcaster, young, old, short, tall, athletic or a casual couch potato you will find people from all walks of life here. This is a very family oriented and supportive school on and off the mats. When you are here there is no time to think about your problems and frustrations. Students here indulge in the good vibes and atmosphere all while training under a respected world class grappler, Mike Frausto aka Lobes, and his crew of experienced jiu-jitsu practitioners. It's an arduous task to think about your worries when you are fighting off gentle but highly skilled higher belts all while learning, not only a great life skill, but about who you are as a person. Are you the type of person that quits when things get uncomfortable or are you the type of person that strives to overcome obstacles? Come and find out. There's no better place to learn jiu-jitsu in a safe judgement free environment than at New Ground Jiu-jitsu. You get what you put into this sport and even if you find yourself obsessed, like many of us here are, there is always someone there to push you to the next level. I cannot emphasize enough how good this place is for your mind, body and soul. This school is true to their motto: good rolls and good vibes. Let's roll!”
“I joined this gym a few months ago and it's really become a safe space to get healthy and fit again. It's not big or flashy but has the right equipment to get the job done. Risky does a great job of maintaining a friendly and respectful gym experience for all by the members he attracts. No bros slamming weights or annoying you while you're trying to get a workout in. My one complaint is that the gym is pretty warm, worried about summer heat in the valley.”

5923 Noble Ave, Sherman Oaks“What I appreciated most is Michael’s attention to detail when explaining the importance of learning the right form and movement during an exercise. He wasn’t interested in selling me his classes or personalized one-on-one session; just gave me good information and encouragement. He has remained helpful although he recommended a gym closer to my home. 10/10”
“Great place. Been a member for a few months, come in three times a week and it is always a positive experience. Good selection of equipment and friendly folks. Happy to support high quality local businesses.”
“I’ve been attending PowerCore Studio for a year and a half now and cannot thank them though! I love taking classes with Erica, Danny and Jacqueline. They’ve helped me immensely and their guidance is greatly appreciated. This studio has created a space for all levels to grow and thrive. Power Core introduced me to and made me fall in love with reformer Pilates!”
“Been going to this gym for around 10 months and it has everything you need. Super happy with the equipment and machines, and Bob the owner is very helpful!Shoutout Tauhid- amazing personal trainer”

The one thing they could improve on is being diligent about having members wipe down equipment (I saw very few do this and it’s a busy studio), and get a deep clean done regularly. We had to kneel on the bosu for one of the exercises today and when I got up, I was dripping with dirty sweat. It’s normal to sweat, it’s not normal to have dirt to that degree.”
“I live in Philadelphia & was reached from Chandler, who was very helpful in educating me about the facilities & plans that would best fit me. I haven’t been able to make the leap into plans with other gyms but they were very reassuring & offered me a guest pass to feel it out where I lived. The team out here also were welcoming- I wanted to leave this review here to say, “Thank you Chandler. If it wasn’t for your push in the right direction- I would have never gotten on the right track. I want you to have that credit””
“So far best 24-hour gym. Nice respectful people. Good equipment.
I hope that management puts a sign on the sauna, no shoes. Because it is a mess wearing dirty shoes in this place, after a walk or after a workout. Also, it will help the cleaning crew.
Thank you.”
“Mali’s classes are ones you don’t want to miss! Her positive motivation during her class makes you want to push through the sweat & finish strong! Definitely coming back!”
