“I give this store 5 stars as it deserves nothing less. I love everything about Artisana Gallery- the atmosphere, it's display of items-so many beautiful things to be seen. including the nicest chimes, one could find. Lovelyjewelry and, so many more items, that would make a relative, friend oracquaintance very happy. I think it is the perfect store for resident, or tourist.and is one of the 'Gems' in Pacific Grove's crown. Kudos to the owners, fora store that compliments our town and, gives pleasure to that shopper, whosteps inside it's door.”

“Thank you very much for the wonderful Carmel Valley Art & Wine Festival, put on by the amazing and hard-working Carmel Valley Art Association Gallery in Carmel Valley Village! It’s a beautiful location on Del Fino Place, and this charming community event was well organized. The art gallery has a lovely courtyard to display artwork both outside and inside! They had a stunning painted barrel auction there too. The show-stopping Money Band played outside in the closed-off street as well so the atmosphere was upbeat and positive. All the wonderful food, art, and market vendors had an awesome time in the sunny weather with the visitors! I had a fun day selling Carmel Caramels from Lion Springs Lavender Farm to the terrific customers in the village. Thank you very much to the community and everyone like Valerie, Shelley, John, all the great vendors, and customers. We appreciate you shopping local!”

“This is a most delightful little art and gifts gallery! It is clean and bright... a fresh little sanctuary. I wish I had more blank walls for more of the uplifting, colorful, and joyful art! (If you need original art, try here first!) But I was able to get plenty of cards & gifts to share with loved ones. The artist/owner is delightful and welcoming; no sales pressure. I will stop in whenever in town just to enjoy the newest pieces on display & restock my cards!”

“Excellent resource for young artists to hone their craft and experiment with new mediums. The staff is warm, positive, and encouraging, always offering their unique artistic expertise. But also allowing each artist the space to try new things without expectation. Best way for young artists to dip their toes in the local art scene. Highly recommend!”

“Incredible place, exhibits change about once a month, and there are a lot of different art classes offered throughout the week. You usually have to be a resident artist in order to have your work displayed.”

“Make sure to check out the art gallery in Carmel by the Sea. The charming street outside sets the tone, but the moment you step inside, you'll be captivated by the vibrant colors of the artwork curated by Monica. It's an exhilarating experience you won't want to miss. Monica and her staff are warm and inviting, but the wealth of knowledge will have you wanting more.”

“So great chatting with the kind owner - this is our second time to the gallery (me and my boyfriend) and we always love chatting with her and seeing the art. Our favorite item was the girl with bird painting by Smirnov. Thank you and we look forward to coming back soon!”

“I am originally from Northern California and now unfortunately I live nowhere near the ocean in Denver Colorado. I was delighted to find a beautiful ring with the help of Adriana that had California redwood in it. It is so beautiful. Two years or earlier on a vacation in Monterey I purchased a redwood bracelet from Tamara G. Both times I brought my puppy with me and the staff was so delightful. Honestly if you're going to buy something in Monterey definitely you have to hit the store. It is worth it. It's nice to know that I have a little bit of my home state all the time. Love my ring & bracelet:”

“Love the designers they carry. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful without the sales pressure. Not only that, it's close to the Aquarium (if you haven't been GO!) Don't forget to get the wallet sized card about the fish & seafood to avoid to preserve different species and definitely dine at the Intercontinental Hotel. It's a lovely place to stay if you're making your Monterey visit an overnight affair!!”

“It's a little hidden....But once you find it, you won't be disappointed. Love, love, love the colors and vibrancy. The shop is on the smaller side but don't let that fool you, they did a wonderful job of displaying everything. It felt magical, with the hummingbird alebrijes hung with clear strings. They made good use of the space. I love any stores that sell art from Mexican culture, it makes my heart sing. Prices are reasonable and staff that was there today at the store was friendly and helpful. I hope that this store thrives!”

“I contacted Alan Masaoka about designing a stained glass window for our new home. We just moved and I wanted to update the look and put my own touches to our new space. Our home was very 1997 and in need of an update to a 2020 more modern feel. Working with Alan was such a pleasure. His creative process and artistic talent was more than I expected. My thoughts were for a window with an Art Nouveau look. I wanted the look of a tree branch with a flowing soft look to it. My plan was for one window at my front door entrance. What Alan created was more than I could have imagined. Alan created a piece that is so beautiful and stunning. We were so pleased with the design we had Alan create four additional windows. Each additional window has its own creative design and feel to it. I truly enjoyed working with Alan. His creative process and attention to detail makes him one of the best Stained Glass Artists in his field.”

“Wow, amazing gallery. Really beautiful photo collections with a lot of emphasis on popular culture such as Superman from Lynn Monroe, so that even younger people who less enjoy heavy museums of art, can enjoy a short stroll through the gallery. There are also slightly more classic images. The gallery has two floors and the entrance is from the street and free of charge. Anyone who walks around Carmel is worth going in.”

“Masiah has 19 local artists sharing their art, jewelry, and glass works in her boutique shop. Definitely worth a stop! It's next door to the excellent First Awakenings Restaurant, which is serves breakfast and lunch on the patio.”

“I've been visiting The Hauk gallery for over 20 years and always impressed with the depth and variety of artists and paintings. My Favorite purchase was a watercolor by John O'Shay 1920's of Big Sur Coast.”

“Wonderful and Inspiring Collection, I walked in and was greeted by Artist Nancy Olaeta who Has her Works and Creations on display, Oil paintings of the Local Monterey Peninsula and Big Sur California Coastline, along with her gorgeous and colorful Glass work. As I walked around the Gallery, Nancy Introduced me to the Venture Gallery Collection, sharing a little peek into the different Artists. Venture Gallery is Tucked away in such a quiet corner of the Plaza, a treasure box of Local Creativity. I encourage you to pop in and see the forever-changing Display of such a Talented Monterey Peninsula Artist.”

“Couldn’t be happier with both the art and the service. Aaron obviously is iconic and a legend with what he does. However, I have also been equally impressed with the service Andy has provided. Especially in a time where it seems that customer service is no longer existent. Top notch company. Highly Recommend! 5 Stars!!!”

“The facility lacks charm but the exhibits were pretty good. In particular, the Animaldom cartoons by Jo Mora were lovely, funny and well-displayed. The best of show were the three Mora drawings from his time among the Hopi. A special treat were the watercolors of historical sites in Monterey by Zella Conan. Bad news: the museum has no printed material about the artists available in the lobby.”

“I just purchased one of my first original pieces of art at Nancy Dodds Gallery, and I'm thrilled. My husband and I recently purchased a house, and we're starting to collect art on our travels. Nancy was so nice and helpful, and I love the vibe of the gallery. My lovely new painting by Zoya Scholis now hangs in my living room, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you, Nancy, for all your help!”

“I stumbled upon this new modern gallery located right on Ocean Avenue in downtown Carmel by the Sea. They have a great selection capturing stunning images of nature. Elizabeth was such a doll and helped with all of my questions! I highly recommend stopping by, not just an ordinary gallery.”

“WOW! Amazing lanterns and so many eye-catching items in this store. Yes, it is very expensive, but we are sure their rent is high also. Definitely a lot of "eye-candy" in here! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!”

“This shop was one of the few places that really attracted my attention when it came to interesting merchandise. I just love browsing a store that has a lot of variety with an international flare. A variety of eye catching clothing in lovely styles and colors. Spending time to explore is a must! You'll find singing bowls, drums, jewelry, cultural nick knacks, decorative items for the home, wind chimes, statuary, art work, rocks & crystals. The whole shop is filled with items from top to bottom. I would have loved to make several purchases, but the only downside for me, was that everything was too pricey! I'm a tourist on a budget, and I know that I can get many of these items much cheaper back home!”
