Even when a new 4 legged family member is snappy about having his temperature taken with a thermometer up the rear or when it’s time for us to say the gut-wrenching goodbye, free them from pain, and let our pups cross the rainbow bridge knowing they heard us say, “We love you. Good dog.” Every family should have a Dr. Dave.

14665 Big Basin Wy, SaratogaI liked the atmosphere of this café and its location is nice. However, the presentation lacked attention to detail. The espresso was served without a spoon, and the sparkling water came in a paper cup. I also came specifically for the affogato and was surprised to find out they no longer offer it.
That said, the staff were wonderful. I especially appreciated the barista who prepared my second drink — she took care with the latte art after noticing I pay attention to details, even though she mentioned it would be more difficult with oat milk instead of regular milk.
Despite the presentation issue, I will definitely come back. It’s still worth revisiting.

The restaurant fits the charm of the town perfectly. Housed in a repurposed Victorian home, it has an elegant yet cozy feel, with wooden tables and chairs that add a touch of rustic Tuscan warmth. The food was outstanding. Two of us ordered the fettuccine with prawns, and it was absolutely delicious. Service was attentive, polite, and thoughtful. They even brought a fruit plate for each of us—including the five-year-old, who was sharing a meal with her mom—which was a lovely touch. My only suggestion would be to offer a pitcher of sangria as an option, rather than requiring each person to order a glass individually. Since it's simply wine, fruit juice, and ice, a shared pitcher would be both convenient and cost-effective for groups.

13336 Old Oak Way, SaratogaWe had such a lovely day at House Family Vineyards enjoying their wine flight. The views are absolutely stunning. The $30 flight included 5 wines (2 whites and 3 reds). I’m not usually a Pinot Noir or Zinfandel fan, but I really enjoyed theirs + the Cabernet Sauvignon was excellent. We paired our tasting with the Charcuterie and Cheese kit, which was delicious. Highly recommend visiting for the wine, the atmosphere, and the friendly staff!
