I went here about a week ago to pick up some non-toxic friendly makeup. I used to work in cosmetics so I really appreciate it when I receive a positive service. I'm getting eloped soon and when I let me know that they were beyond helpful in showing me their favorite products from all the brands. I appreciated the honesty and expertise when recommending specific brands and products. I walked away with new powders, blush, and even recommendations on brands they didn't have in stock. As a bonus the website and in store had 15% off and that was a nice surprise. I'm pretty sure it was the manager or owner who helped me and was so thankful to have such an excellent experience.

My favorite clean beauty store! I've been shopping there for almost 5 years and I love everything about it! Amazing products, great staff... Camila always helps me choose the right products for my skin and is always showing me what's new too. She is so knowledgeable. I love shopping there with her!

I absolutely could not love this store more! If you're worried about what chemicals you're putting on your skin-- this is absolutely the place for you. Not only do they focus on clean products, they actually WORK and are incredible. The store is quaint and not super overwhelming and the employees are very friendly and kind. When I went in, Miranda was so sweet and took the time to answer whatever questions I had, (her knowledge of the products and how they work was impressive!!) and helped me find what products would work best for me-- and she was absolutely spot on. I have loved everything I purchased and cannot wait to go back to get more. I love them so much I'll be getting them as Christmas gifts for my friends and family (who I've also gotten hooked now because I've been making everyone try them). My skin has never looked or felt so good! I am OBSESSED!!!!

I've never stepped foot into a Detox Market before, but selected this one specifically since their location showed stock of something I was in search of on their site (and they DID have the item in more colors than their site showed). I was the only one in the shop and there was one lady working, and she was very pleasant and helpful! I was a little hesitant with previous reviews bringing up how bad the service was, but I'm happy to say that was not an issue here. The items I was looking for were easy to find (Tata Harper lip colors) and she was able to provide testers for the colors I wanted. I have to say I wasn't too crazy about the formula but I'm so glad Detox Market had all the shades I wanted to try. Had I found a winner, I would have definitely purchased from this shop, but no luck today. However they do carry another favorite line (Henne Organics) here, so at least I know I can return for something I already like. Had a decent experience here!

Leaving this review because I'm annoyed at the level of or lack of customer service. I'm in there genuinely wanting to buy products and the people either have no clue about their products and even worse don't care about helping out. I find them to be very arrogant. I'll leave it at that.

I went in to the store asking about dry shampoo and the employees were so unbelievably helpful! It's the best dry shampoo I've ever used and I'm so grateful to the kind employees that helped me that day! I will definitely be going back and recommending this business to everyone

My new favorite place to get safe and efficient skincare products.Amazing and high quality service! After a negative experience at Credo store I tried The detox market in Santa Monica and I was impressed how different it was. The Asian girl who helped me is very kind, professional and lovely. I highly recommend this store.

I went in your store on Saturday May 20, 2023, and I regret to say that I was treated in a very rude manner. It was immediately obvious that the sales girl was not interested in helping me. She had a condescending attitude and every time I asked her a question, I felt that I was bothering her. In addition, she was not that knowledgeable regarding makeup.Buying makeup (especially foundation) is tricky and it is important to have someone competent to help you. This was not the case in this store.

As soon as my wife and I walked in I immediately felt unwanted. Fake a** greeting and smile. My wife loves the products but unfortunately we can't say the same for the staff. One staff member was nice tho, but the one who was in charge had a stank attitude upon checking out. She doesn't know how to speak accordingly.

I'm really tired of walking in here and feeling discriminated against. I was having a hard time before walking in as this store was mine and my best friends favorite store, she passed away recently. Really didn't need snotty attitude from one particular lady and how she looked at myself and my husband. I came in to shop for makeup and some other items, and skipped the rest because I was so upset by her demeanor. It's not the first time I come here and feel weird, last time I was followed around the store.

I've been shopping at this location for many years and unfortunately an unpleasant staff person has made my last few visits so miserable, I will not be returning. Unfriendly, unsmiling, condescending and snobby (from a woman young enough to be my daughter). I love the products and the small boutique vibe would come here all the time to spend my hard earned money- but I'll just go to Ulta or Sephora (big corporate giants) where I am always treated with good cheer and kindness. Too bad.
