Animal Kingdom of Santa Monica
300 Pico Blvd, Santa MonicaAKSM has handled my dog grooming needs for years. They are amazing and responsible. I feel very comfortable leaving my dogs there, and the dogs always come home smelling fresh and feeling clean. I have a 13 year old who has a seizure disorder, and DJ made me feel very comfortable continuing my dog's grooming service after the seizures began. I also take advantage of the monthly teeth cleaning service, which is very convenient. They have a pretty clear grooming menu with prices on the website, but if you have questions or need help picking what is best for your pet, just ask! They are happy to help.

Pet Foodie LA
2523 17th St, Santa MonicaLove this wonderful place so much!! We took our 60lb Golden retriever there for a bath and deshedding treatment. Our pup sheds SO much, I didn’t expect it would be noticeably different afterwards. She came back to us SO beautifully clean, unbelievably soft and looked 10lbs lighter with all the fur they combed off!Our girl also came home with a sweet bandana around her neck and a special treat— she was sooo happy afterwards. They also sent us a grooming report afterwards with how she did and anything else they noticed. The whole process was so professional, the facilities are spotless, and everyone who works there is so kind and helpful. My new go-to place for grooming and pet supplies!

Bark Williams
2901 Ocean Park Blvd #118, Santa MonicaBark Williams was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so glad I went! My dog is a rescue and she has been terrified of the groomer, to the point where she has been shaking when we've picked her up. The groomer we went to two times prior took about 5-6 hours to finish grooming her. Bark Williams said it would take about max 2 hours and our dog was finished within an hour! They don't keep the dogs in kennels and they take wonderful care of the dogs. I was asked if my dog has any specific areas of concern or if she has any particular challenges with anything. I mentioned that she is fearful of loud noises like car engines and motorcycles, and the groomer said they would groom her in a different room that is quieter. I was floored and so appreciative that they take such great care of the pets they groom. The price was also seemingly very reasonable (especially in LA!) and I am so relieved I found a groomer that feels very reliable and takes good care of my dog. I'll definitely go back!!

Healthy Spot
1110 Wilshire Blvd, Santa MonicaMy dog was a daycare and grooming client here for a couple of years before we left LA, and we absolutely loved it!! The staff took such good care of him and he loved seeing them every day. The daycare room was always clean and well maintained. The whole Healthy Spot team was really good about communicating with me if there were ever any questions or issues, and I always felt my dog was in good hands when I went off to work. If he had a grooming appointment, they would pick him up/drop him back off at daycare afterwards and text me updates. Highly recommend this wonderful, loving team. :)

2116 Main St B, Santa MonicaRover in Santa Monica is amazing! The staff is kind & truly caring. The facility is safe & clean. My dog Sally the beagle has been going to Rover for baths, daycare & overnights for three years. She looooves going. Whenever she realizes that we're walking to Rover, she starts pulling me to go FASTER. (She's otherwise not a puller.). The team is great at Rover, especially Eric, Calvin, Remy, Bennett & Shelby. They care for Sally as if she were their own doggo. WOOF!

Santa Monica Veterinary Group
1708 17th St, Santa MonicaI really like Dr Pan. He is very kind and knowledgeable and I feel like he really listens to my concerns. I never feel rushed when I take my kitty to see him (and I’ve been taking him a lot since Dec 2023 bc he is battling FIP).The reception staff is friendly. My only issue is that there seems to be long wait times even when you’re in the exam room . This clinic seems very busy so I wonder if there’s a staff shortage (or maybe bc the doctors talk thoroughly to each client as I mentioned above). I’m usually there at least 2 hrs. I think I’ve only been out of there within the hr one time

1534 14th St, Santa MonicaI had the best vet experience here. I was able to schedule my cat for a sick appointment in <24 hours from calling even though we were new to the clinic. The entire team was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Dr. O’Donnell was patient and thorough. At the end of our appointment, we were provided with transparent pricing and a menu of care options. The team followed up on the date promised with the results of some testing and helped us plan next steps. To go above and beyond, the team even cleaned my pet’s carrier when he got sick in it during the appointment.Incredible experience and the treatment plan worked well - he is on the mend!

Puppy Play Time
627 9th St, Santa MonicaJoe is the best thing that’s happened to my rescue pup since being adopted. She’s struggled to open up and I also feel bad for leaving her during my long hours at work. I found Joe on google and gave him a shot… the cute pup pics Sold me! My dog now is a different dog… she shakes less around new dogs and tail is up and wagging! She actually played for the first time with our cat! I’ve never seen her play at all, ever, before this. Joe is very accommodating with last minute requests and charges a reasonable price for full day daycare. I trust Joe implicitly. Also, he’s better than dog whisperer!! :) I’m very jealous of her.. beach walks, fresh air, and lots of new buddies!

Feet & Paws
3201 Airport Ave, Santa MonicaWe just finished our third training session with Tracy for our dog who was experiencing trauma from a cat attack. Over the course of about three months he's improved not only in the area of confidence in taking walks again, but Tracy also leaned into helping other areas of struggle such as leash walking. Having her there to chat through, demonstrate, and be there to advise as my husband and I tried different techniques really helped! I highly recommend working with Tracy, she has a wealth of knowledge and taught with an empathetic approach to understand our boy better.

Balanced Dogs
2632 Wilshire BlvdSuite 345, Santa MonicaEver since my dog Tim died, Ros has been withdrawn, sad, and reclusive. She spent all her time either under my desk or in my bedroom. She would go as much as 24 hours without going outside even to potty. It was heartbreaking. Dee Green helped her so much with her online counseling! With just the gentlest of interventions that allowed Ros to make her own choices about coming to me, going outside, where she wanted to sleep, etc., and some use of treats, she almost immediately began responding in a positive way. She started leaving the bedroom when the other dogs left the bedroom in the morning, she would sometimes go out on her own, she would come with me to go out as long as we were by ourselves, and gradually she’s gotten almost back to normal. I’m so grateful to Dee for her help ? ? ?

Voice For The Animals
2633 Lincoln Blvd #202, Santa MonicaWe adopted our sweet cat here a few months ago and they've been great! They did a detailed home check to make sure that their adoptable pets will only go to loving, safe homes. For me this is very important! The adoption coordinator has been super helpful, giving us lots of advice on how to introduce the cats to each other and other questions we had. They truly care about the animals! Lhasa Happy Homes
BUSINESS ADDRESS NOT ADOPTION SITE, 2632 Wilshire Blvd #190, Santa MonicaNOBODY in this most rewarding, yet most heartbreaking world of dog rescue and adoption cares more than Randee...over and out!! She understands that these precious angels need to be adopted out to the best family for a particular dog....not all pets are a good fit with all people, and that just because someone sees a "cute" dog online that they must have for one reason or another, does not mean that they will be a good fit once Randee reviews the application. Her undying dedication to rescue and adoption has provided thousands of dogs with wonderful forever homes; unfortunately, however, there is a small percentage of people who don't agree with Randee's decision, and rather than respect her expertise and realize she won't be bullied by people at the expense of the dogs, that these people choose to publicly slander her is beyond belief! True dog lovers will do nothing but honor Randee for her truly selfless decades of devotion. With that said, we adopted a precious little stray that was deemed "aggressive" at a high-kill pound, and thanks to Randee grabbing her before euthanasia did, we have an angel that gives us unending joy!! We can never thank her enough....
