So yeah - about that nice low CC rate: it has doubled over the past couple of years, even though I always pay on time and never get anywhere near my limit. At no point during the multiple rate increases did I ever receive a snail- or e-mail notification about them. Not cool, SF Fire CU.

I had the best experience on their customer service phone line. Margarita went way out of her way to make sure I was able to remedy issues that arose after my wallet had been stolen. She took the time to explore many options before finalizing on a solution. Her warmth and friendliness made it a pleasurable interaction. Hope I get her again should I need support on future issues.

I absolutely love this credit union been a member for about eight years they've been fantastic never had to pay ATM fees. It's like a real friendly place and account. Managers are awesome as well. I believe they just open up a third branch in San Francisco but yeah highly highly recommend them it's not some big corporation it's basically firemen and their families and friends, so yeah I can't think of a better place I would want to bank with.

Long wait time to find an unhelpful atendent. Very disappointed, but relieved that I did not open an account with this bank.

The new 24th street branch falls in line with the overall customer focused culture of SF Fire! Edwin was my advocate and it was clear from the beginning that his job was to make the experience work in my favor. Now when they get competitive with their balance transfers its a grand slam.

OK, Here's the situation. SFFCU has now RESTORED 5-star status, because the internal (in-house) team finally heard me out! Furthermore, I have to confess that for a business... THEY ACTUALLY READ REVIEWS! Not many out here do that, it seems. So now, I think I'll stick around another 13 years!!! Thank you so much SFFCU for your special attention to my hardship time. It will get better, and you helped restore that path!!!

We just came from the new 24th and Sanchez Street branch. We were greeted by Ariel and then the assistant branch manager Edwin also assisted us. We had a minor issue with our joint checking account which they took care of immediately. I've been banking with the San Francisco Fire Credit Union for several decades now and they have always given excellent service. Free, checking and a dozen free out of net work ATM transactions along with the feeling of a small town bank instead of a corporate bank are some of the pluses for me. I'm glad that they have opened a branch that is even closer to my home.

THUMBS DOWN! I joined in late eighties when it was staffed by firefighter. Back then it was great service. Now it's horrible. Recently my brother got POA for my mother. Shes 90 and was forgetting to pay her bills. Amazingly bad service on this matter. Credit Union seems to have zero understanding on how a POA works. It gets worse. They do not return calls. They keep delaying the process while her bills go unpaid.

Absolutely amazing. Needed an auto loan ASAP (1 day) and they were able to get it done for me, check in hand, with the best interest rate I could've asked for. Tried multiple other banks and they gave me the best offer. Shoutout to Eileen and Lillian for the assistance!

This was a great credit Union when I joined almost 10 years ago but they've fallen way off since then. Their employees are incompetent, condescending, liars. After recently trying to sort out some paperwork with a government agency I had to visit twice because of sf fire's incompetence, I was told by two different individuals there "your bank is lying to you." They forgot to file the paperwork in mid March, I called to confirm in late March and got a very condescending attitude as if I was insulting them by trying to confirm it was filed. A month later all I got was a "sorry we forgot" with an attitude because they screwed me over and cost me thousands of dollars. I recommend you stay away from this credit Union.

SF Fire Credit Union never lets me down. They always have excellent customer service, they are attentive and available to answer my questions. I used to bank at the larger corporate banks, I'll never go back!! Pre-COVID they used to have fresh baked cookies on Tuesday, wish they would bring them back. But I'm sure that it's some sort of health and safety thing! Cause ya know germs

Full of incompetent people/management. I Mail out my mortgage payment on the second of the month every month from my Online Bill account. For some reason, it takes SF FIRE CU many weeks to process my payment so I get phone calls from their debt collector saying I haven't paid. Then I end up making double payments. Ridiculous!

I love SFFCU! It's a beautiful diamond in the rough, which I didn't know about until I started working here. Best products, rates and SERVICE ever and I had no idea I didn't need to be associated with a fire fighter. SFFCU rebates ATM fees, has no fee checking and some of the best rates in the Bay Area.

The online banking app is one of the worst I've used. There's going to be a major hiccup and hassle at least once a year. Sitting on hold for 20+ min is not acceptable.Todays goal was to make a payment on my visa, but it turns out they had frozen my account, because my ex's account was in the negative, and they were linked. So, THEY FROZE MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSES ACCOUNT WAS NEGATIVE!I'm not going to file a complaint with the feds. This credit Union is clueless and will cost you time and money.

We use to get amazing service from this bank but now you cannot even withdraw funds on a timely basis. The reps on the account no longer exsist and any contact with the bank goes unanswered. I have 250K invested and it's been months with no response. I will need to sue to get my $$ out. AVOID a all coss
